What type of media
institution would
distribute our media
product?
Distribution
 Our film was very low budget with minimal money spent of
producing, this leads to our film more than likely being
distributed by an independent distribution company.
 An example of a studio that could distribute our horror film
is a company such as vertigo films, which distributed a low
budget horror film in the form A Night in the Woods (Parry,
2011).
 As this is not an industrial film a blanket release would not
be necessary as it would fail to get a wide enough coverage
to sell the product in all areas.
Style of our production
As our film is independent there are various
characteristics that can seen such as it been low
budget. Other things include no A list casting,
prosumer cameras and a skeleton crew.
Strategy to connect immerse audience
to our film.
 As our film is independent and low budget we
would favour using web 2.0 to gain a wider
audience and with that more coverage.
 We would reach out to social media as our target
audience is predominantly teenagers who would be
the dominant age group who use social media. Also
web 2.0 is free which means that this links into our
film being low budget with this making it a strongly
viable option.
 Examples of different social media products that
could be used consist of facebook, twitter and
Instagram.
Marketing
 As our film is independent the marketing campaign would be very small
and restricted. However the film could still be promoted in various ways
such as by a website, posters and a trailer.
Exhibition of Film
 Our film would be screened
at Plaza Cinema, which has
previously shown films very
similar to ours.
 To further promote our film
we could look International
film festivals as a strategy. For
example the International film
festival Bratislava
