What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?
 If my magazine was to be published and distributed by a
mainstream publisher I believe IPC would be a good publisher.
 IPC also publish popular music magazines like; NME. They also
publish a lot of magazine that are in the demographic that my
magazine is. They are based around teenagers and young adults
 Although I could go with Bauer who would give my magazine a
good chance of reaching high consumption numbers and are able to
synergize as they have over 300 magazines. This would help me gain
more readers
 Bauer produces Q, MOJO and KERRANG which are popular
music magazines
GIGS/NEWSSTAND/WEBZINE
 My magazine would be distributed at gigs for free because I believe this would be a
great way to gain readers and the people that attend the gigs are my target audience
 My magazine would be distributed in newsstands at a price of £1.99 per issue because
it is a reasonable price for my target audience
 I would have my magazine turned into a webzine and an app because this is the way
young people are accessing information, via technology so in order to meet their interests
I must use technology to appeal to them. Most people around the ages of 15-29 have/
used a mobile devices therefore this would be a good place to sell my magazine
 My magazine has the opportunity of going mainstream because it address
peoples interest without being gender bias and it also offers quality material at a
cheap price. The cover price is £3.99 as it is a one-off special addition issue but later
issues would be £1.99. I believe Bauer would be perfect to publish my magazine as
they could add an R&B magazine to their selection. they could also synergize us
with Q magazine . Bauer would also give me the opportunity to turn my magazine
into a website, webzine, app and TV channel in order to meet my target audiences
interests. Bauer would be great because of cross media ownership. This would allow
my magazine to be globalised as Bauer magazines receive big globalisation
consumption numbers their magazines also have a similar target audience to mine.
