QUESTION TWO: HOW
SUCCESSFUL IS THE
COMBINATION OF YOUR MAIN
PRODUCT AND ANCILLARY
Throughout the creation of my media portfolio synergy was an important feature for all the
products. In order to make sure I attracted the largest audience possible to my final movie: LIVE.
One technique I employed in order to maintain synergy between all platforms of my media was font
and text. Throughout all on my media products the font Bank Gothic is used on all of the title names
and taglines. In doing this I was able to make the title stick in the head of the viewers in a successful
fashion, with repetition of not only the name of the movie but the font and style thereof. This helps
audience’s recognise my product across platforms, instantly through text growing to associate the
movie with it a certain font.
Colour scheme also played a key role in maintaining unity and synergy across products. This can
be seen in the dark placid colours of all products- the interior of the spaceship, the front of the
magazine and the poster. This played a key role in presenting the isolation of the girl. I wanted
her face to the focus of the audience- her youth and the gloom working together to create
intrigue. In all products the white text, against black was used, along with the dark colours of the
imagery.
My main characters eyes also played a key role in maintaining
synergy. I thought the seriousness of her gaze was an utterly striking
image. To see someone so young look so deadly serious, certainly
this stare is seen in all of my media products the face of the girl
recognisable to the movie.
I purposefully choose to use stills from the trailer in both my movie
poster and magazine. In this way I hope to create a visual stimuli for
audience’s associating this character with my movie. While this may
seem like repetition and maybe even unimaginative this was
purposeful, my movie as an independent movie will not get much
press time and therefore any time it is displayed it must be
remembered the repetition of imagery part of this.

  • 1. QUESTION TWO: HOW SUCCESSFUL IS THE COMBINATION OF YOUR MAIN PRODUCT AND ANCILLARY
  • 2. Throughout the creation of my media portfolio synergy was an important feature for all the products. In order to make sure I attracted the largest audience possible to my final movie: LIVE.
  • 3. One technique I employed in order to maintain synergy between all platforms of my media was font and text. Throughout all on my media products the font Bank Gothic is used on all of the title names and taglines. In doing this I was able to make the title stick in the head of the viewers in a successful fashion, with repetition of not only the name of the movie but the font and style thereof. This helps audience’s recognise my product across platforms, instantly through text growing to associate the movie with it a certain font.
  • 4. Colour scheme also played a key role in maintaining unity and synergy across products. This can be seen in the dark placid colours of all products- the interior of the spaceship, the front of the magazine and the poster. This played a key role in presenting the isolation of the girl. I wanted her face to the focus of the audience- her youth and the gloom working together to create intrigue. In all products the white text, against black was used, along with the dark colours of the imagery.
  • 5. My main characters eyes also played a key role in maintaining synergy. I thought the seriousness of her gaze was an utterly striking image. To see someone so young look so deadly serious, certainly this stare is seen in all of my media products the face of the girl recognisable to the movie.
  • 6. I purposefully choose to use stills from the trailer in both my movie poster and magazine. In this way I hope to create a visual stimuli for audience’s associating this character with my movie. While this may seem like repetition and maybe even unimaginative this was purposeful, my movie as an independent movie will not get much press time and therefore any time it is displayed it must be remembered the repetition of imagery part of this.
