2. For my poster I researched into already existing romantic movie poster and horror movie posters to see what was common for these genres. Then I found one’s I liked and started making idea’s for my own. To get to the completed draft of my movie poster there was mainly two other poster’s that influenced my work.

3. Hills have EyesThe first poster was the hill’s have eyes poster.II thought it was a really effective poster even though there was not a lot going on. The main image of it would work well in my poster too so I decided to get a photo of one of my victims to get a similar picture. I first tried putting my image at the bottom like this poster but then changed it to make it fade into the background and at the top of the page and I believe the position I have mine in now is more effective then when I had the image at the bottom of the page.

4. Resident Evil 3The other poster that inspired mine was this poster for the film ‘Resident evil’. I liked it because yet again it is an effective poster with out too much going on. The main image in this poster, inspired the main image of my poster. Although in mine it’s a man and he’s holding a knife otherwise it’s pretty similar. Also the woman’s the ‘good’ person in the film and my poster has a picture of the ‘baddy’, however for each poster it’s the main character of the film.

5. These are the films that inspired me most and I liked them because they were effective and not busy. Even though my poster has two images on it I still believe it’s not busy because the image of the girl is faded into the back. I think it’s made it more calm being in black and white because when it was in colour there was too many images and colours every where, making it too hectic. However I keep the colour red in the picture’s to make the blood and the title’s stand out.
