This document summarizes a research project that analyzed publications in GIScience in the Netherlands from 1999-2007. It measured the scientific output and impact of GIScience, ranked GIScience internationally, and examined the effect of an organization called "Space for Geo-information." Key findings included that the Netherlands ranked third internationally in both scientific output and citation impact of GIScience publications over this period.
