This document lists and describes props that will be used in a music video. A microphone, guitar, bass guitar, drums and drumsticks will be used to realistically portray the performance of the song. An iPhone 6 and bed will be props used to tell the narrative story of a couple. Alcoholic beer and cigarettes will also advance the narrative and visually represent lyrics, relating to the target audience of young adults and teenagers.

Microphone- with the singing and lyrics being the most noticeable feature of the
song, it is clear that a microphone has to be featured within the performance
aspect of the video. This will be used to make the powerful voice of the singer
look realistic and not stupid. If a microphone wasn’t their with the rest of the
band playing the song, the singer being able to sing just as loud as the band
would be stupid and daft. Caden will be using this microphone during the video
because he is the lead singer of the band.
Guitar- with the song being a band song and every individual instrument being
important to the song, it is clear that the guitar must feature within the video. It
will only be in the performance aspect of the song, I feel if I just had a singer
performing without a band playing instruments it would take away from the
realism that I am trying to capture in my music video. Also it will be plugged into
a aux cord to again re-establish the realism.
Bass guitar- this prop is here for the same reasons, without a proper recreation
of the song it completely takes away from the authentic feel that I’m trying to
get a recreate; as the bass is in the song, if I took it away, I would take away that
realism. Once again this will be plugged in with an aux cord to make it realistic.
Drums and Drumsticks- the drums are here for the same reason also, they are a
vital part to the song so when it comes to the live performance they
fundamentally have to be there if I want to recreate the song as realistically as
possible. Drumsticks will go with this as they are required to play the instrument.

3. Props Image
iPhone 6- This prop will be used in the narrative of the video, it will be shown
briefly because of text messages sent between the couple. It will also be used
for calls between the couple. It will be an iPhone 6 because it is modern and it
relatable to the target audience of younger adults and teenagers because they
are likely to have one. Also its something that one of us will likely have making it
convenient.
Bed- This bed will be shown in most shots within the bedroom, where
the couple will be laying down and building their relationship within
the narrative. The bed itself will just be a standard double bed with
plain a plain bed sheet; this is because the target audience can relate
to this, not a lot of the target audience have a king size bed with
really expensive bed sheets and do just have a standard double bed so
having this appeals to the majority of people that will be watching my
video. This bed will feature within the location of Niall’s bedroom in
the video.
Alcoholic Budweiser and Sterling Cigarettes- These props are a big part of the
video with the main character in the narrative element of the video being under
the influence of the majority of the video. This are featured within the lyrics of
the song also and I want to visually illustrate the lyrics into a narrative so it
would make sense to include these. Also these relate to the target audience
with lots of young adults and teenagers smoking and drinking often to be
rebellious so they can look at the characters in this video and relate to it. Also
the brand of them both are common amongst the target audience therefore
when they see them it will be relatable.
