Props
By Alfie Millar
Prescription drugs Prescription drugs will be one of the more
prominent props in my opening sequence
because of their importance. They are imperative
to a greater understanding of Lloyds scenario
being mentally ill. They will appear as both
cutaways inanimately and when Dr. Carter gets
some out for Lloyd to take. The prop will mainly
appear more towards the beginning, to help set
the scene.
NHS letter A letter from NHS showing diagnoses will
make a small but significant appearance in
my opening. This will be coinciding with
prescription drugs. This is to get a better
understanding of Lloyds illness and how it
must be controlled. These both help set the
scene at the beginning. This prop will be
shown inanimately on a table.
Box and key This key will be used to open one of the
next props, the box, it will only make a
small appearance when Lloyd pulls it out of
his pocket to open the box. He then quickly
puts it away. Both props are necessary in
understanding that whatever Lloyd has
inside he wants to keep hidden away.
Little black book The scrapbook will make
one small appearance at
the end of my opening. It
will be the object Lloyd is
so desperately trying to
hide away from the
outside world. This book
will contain most the
information about his
victims and soon to be
victims. It won’t contain
“evidence” as such
because Lloyd is smarter
than that. It will at the
most just be a discreet
checklist for Lloyd,
disguised as a simple
check list.
Stethoscope Doctors props will be
necessary in making the scene
more realistic. A stethoscope
is good because it is common
doctors item and its commonly
used for patients.
Lanyard and id badge A lanyard and identification
badge are imperative for a job
such as a doctor because of
how serious a job it is and all
the importance it has.
Ensuring my doctor has it is
needed because it will
complete the character.
