The reason as to why I have decided that Kelly Rowland – Commander, would
be a good song to use when recreating a music video is because the song is
upbeat and the lyrics are at a medium speed which means that when it comes
to lip syncing the song it should be an easier task.

3. Ideas
The current ideas which I am thinking of doing with this
music video is filming a group of teenage girls at a party
dancing to this song. First of all we can see the girls
“glamming” themselves up before the beat drops in of
the music which will then switch to them partying.
In the videos we could have dancers dancing to the
music as well as shots which will be filmed in the studio
of the singer, singing the song.
To interest teenagers into our music video, we should
aim to make it as lively as possible, with strobe
lights, good fashion, different groups of people and
making it look fun!

4. Ideas rejected
The ideas in which I don’t think will work very well is if we make our music
video fully narrative. The reason as to why this idea was rejected is
because the actual song doesn’t really have a strong story line to go with it
which we can work with.
The first main idea which I thought of was to have a young girl being in
love with her first boy but I thought that people would think that this is
cheesy and wouldn’t really understand it along with the song lyrics.
Another idea which I had and then discussed with my sister who is a
teenager, is having a group of friends filming a day as they are the group
which would understand this song the most but she said that having
teenagers partying would fit the theme more.

6. Most videos which has a R&B genre the same as kelly rowland usually consists of
girls who wear skimpy clothes, dancing, looking glamorous and have boys
around them.
When thinking of how we will plan and record our music video, we should
take these into consideration such as when the girls are partying they could
be connoted as glamerous by wearing dresses, heels and dancing to show
that they are having a good time.
As it is a party then their should be boys who are also involved in the shots
which means that when recording this we could ask some of our friends to
be in the shots.
I think that having flashing spot lights, smoke machines would make the
effect of the party looking even more professional and make our music video
look even better.
