Key duties/responsibilities for project scheduler 
1. Create Project Schedules for standard projects and large complex projects, taking 
all customer requirements and available resources into consideration. 
2. Develop and manage manpower loaded schedules for large complex projects 
involving full turnkey installation. 
3. Determine lead times in conjunction with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing and 
Subcontractors. 
4. Support Sales on planning, milestones and deliverables for project quotation and 
develop risk curves. 
5. Create Project Master Schedule based on the Project Quotation Schedule and other 
contract requirements. 
6. Agree lead times in conjunction with Engineering, Manufacturing and 
Subcontractors 
7. Support Project Management on Project Schedule (detailing Engineering, Supply, 
Shipping, Installation and Commissioning) and contract related schedule 
coordination. 
8. Anticipates schedule, cost, and resource deviations through trend analysis and 
earned value management (EVM) 
9. Monitor Project Milestones, lead and participate in open-up, project progress and 
close down meetings. 
10. Compose reports for Management Information and Project Analysis.
Key job qualifications for project scheduler 
1. Proficiency with Microsoft Project a must 
2. Ability to develop and provide project status presentations to senior 
leaders 
3. Ability to identify and forecast scheduling trends 
4. Provide recommendations to mitigate risks to program schedule 
5. Must be able to work in a team environment, have both effective writing 
and oral communication skills 
6. Ability to positively manage conflict 
7. Bachelor's Degree with preference in business management, finance, 
economics, supply chain, engineering or other industry-related degree. 
8. Minimum of 5+ yrs Microsoft Project experience managing and 
integrating schedules for numerous projects in a dynamic, combined 
maintenance & operations and development environment.
