ABSTRACT
Dumb and Deaf is a term which was used historically to identify a person who cannot speak
and hear. These people use sign language to communicate with the people uses different
medium such as hands , faces or eyes rather than vocal tract or ears for communication
purpose.
Sign languages is a tool for deaf and dumb people of the world.
About 2 million people are deaf in our world. They are deprived from various social
activities. They are under-estimated to our society.
Sign language be a desirable interpreter which can help both the community general and deaf.
It captures the gesture shown bt the deaf and dumb people and convert immediately into
known language.
Now there are many schools for dumb and deaf students.These schools teach the students the
sing languages for communication.

The Founder of this Vidyalya is Shri. Bankatlal K. Rathi. He Himself is dumb and deaf.
It was established in 27 March 1997.
It was only started with 05 children of dumb and deaf and now it grew up to 60 students.
It is a first school in Amravati which provide education to dumb and deaf students.
In 2006, This school got registered under Maharashtra Government.
The director of this school is Dr. Ganesh D. Dube

 Maharashtra government provide finance to this school.
 Many trust also provide finance to this school
 Amravat Municipal Corporation. also provide finance.
 P.R. Pote college of Engineering Also provide finance as well as supports to them for
other assistance.

 Taking care of 70 students of dumb and deaf.
 Provide education, training, nutrition food, school uniform and transportation.
 Conduct Annual sports and different competions between students.
 Seminar and lectures by successful persons.
 Apart from this they also provide training in different fields such as stiching, candle
making etc.

SUGGESTIONS
 Use of Sign Language Recognizer which convert the sign
language into text for the general peoples.
 Hand gersture recognizer system used technology for
helping dumb and deaf.
 On every regular interval there must be some medical and
fitness test.
 Once in a year there must be some outing or picnic for the
students.
 A proper care of food and hostel must be taken at regular
interval.
 There must be regular interaction with the students and the
principal of the school.
 Management must be proper of the school.
 There must be some personal discussionroom for bothboys
and girls and there should be one professionalfor this.
 There must be counceling cell for the students.
 Use of Saarthak, It offers a huge collection of Indian Sign
Language Sign. Each Sign has an image, running video, and
threaded discussions. It is an ideal resources to use while you
learn/ teach Indian Sign Language.
 Use of Speaking Micro Controller for dumb and deaf
students.

The purpose of the above social activity was only to know that what Shri.Bulidan Rathi Muk
Badhir Vidyalya is doing for dumb and deaf Students of Amravati. And the second purpose
of this study was to know the students psychological of the dumb and deaf student who are
going to school. The above study shown that students are self confident, interdependent, self
motivated and intelligent. They are just like as a normal students. Above study also shown
that students are very active and physical and mentally fit. This study has been done from
class 1st to 10th standard students only. These students are the major challenges for the
schools and society also but school is trying to overcome from all those challeges.

CONCLUSION
Shri.Bulidan Rathi Muk Badhir Vidyalya is a first school in Amravati dumb and deaf
students.
 This School is from Class 1st to 10th.
 Classes from 6th to 10th started in 2006.
 This school provide training to girl for self- defense.
 Organizes many different events for there students.
 Active participation of students in different competition organized at state level and
district level.
 This school get registered under Maharashtra state government in the year 2006.
 This school provide all the basic facilities to there students such as computer lab, play
ground , Mess , Cantine ,Bus Facilities etc.
 This school is playing major role in up liftment of students, Making them
independent, and over coming to the challenges of the socities.

  • 8. 8 ABSTRACT Dumb and Deaf is a term which was used historically to identify a person who cannot speak and hear. These people use sign language to communicate with the people uses different medium such as hands , faces or eyes rather than vocal tract or ears for communication purpose. Sign languages is a tool for deaf and dumb people of the world. About 2 million people are deaf in our world. They are deprived from various social activities. They are under-estimated to our society. Sign language be a desirable interpreter which can help both the community general and deaf. It captures the gesture shown bt the deaf and dumb people and convert immediately into known language. Now there are many schools for dumb and deaf students.These schools teach the students the sing languages for communication.

  • 14. 14 VIDYALYA BACK GROUND The Founder of this Vidyalya is Shri. Bankatlal K. Rathi. He Himself is dumb and deaf. It was established in 27 March 1997. It was only started with 05 children of dumb and deaf and now it grew up to 60 students. It is a first school in Amravati which provide education to dumb and deaf students. In 2006, This school got registered under Maharashtra Government. The director of this school is Dr. Ganesh D. Dube
  • 16. 16 FINANCE  Maharashtra government provide finance to this school.  Many trust also provide finance to this school  Amravat Municipal Corporation. also provide finance.  P.R. Pote college of Engineering Also provide finance as well as supports to them for other assistance.
  • 18. 18 FACILITIES AVAILABLE  4 School Bus facilities available which run in entire Amravati and Badnera and near by villages.  Hostel Facilities for both boys and girls.  Mess Facilities for hostel students and small canteen.  Computer lab with 7 computers.  Proper Class room facilities.  Play Ground facilities.  Indoor and Out door sports equipment such as lodoo, carom, Badminton, Cricket equipment, Foot ball etc.  Library facilities with 100 books capacity.

  • 22. 22 TRAINING  Self- defense training to girls.  Yoga and Exercise training for students.  Sports training.  Dance training.  Self-Motivational training to student.
  • 24. 24 ACTIVITIES  Teach and Train the Knowledge of earning , make them for self - dependent and to support other dependent.  Taking care of 70 students of dumb and deaf.  Provide education, training, nutrition food, school uniform and transportation.  Conduct Annual sports and different competions between students.  Seminar and lectures by successful persons.  Apart from this they also provide training in different fields such as stiching, candle making etc.

  • 32. 32 SUGGESTIONS  Use of Sign Language Recognizer which convert the sign language into text for the general peoples.  Hand gersture recognizer system used technology for helping dumb and deaf.  On every regular interval there must be some medical and fitness test.  Once in a year there must be some outing or picnic for the students.  A proper care of food and hostel must be taken at regular interval.  There must be regular interaction with the students and the principal of the school.  Management must be proper of the school.  There must be some personal discussionroom for bothboys and girls and there should be one professionalfor this.  There must be counceling cell for the students.  Use of Saarthak, It offers a huge collection of Indian Sign Language Sign. Each Sign has an image, running video, and threaded discussions. It is an ideal resources to use while you learn/ teach Indian Sign Language.  Use of Speaking Micro Controller for dumb and deaf students.

  • 35. 35 ANALYSIS The purpose of the above social activity was only to know that what Shri.Bulidan Rathi Muk Badhir Vidyalya is doing for dumb and deaf Students of Amravati. And the second purpose of this study was to know the students psychological of the dumb and deaf student who are going to school. The above study shown that students are self confident, interdependent, self motivated and intelligent. They are just like as a normal students. Above study also shown that students are very active and physical and mentally fit. This study has been done from class 1st to 10th standard students only. These students are the major challenges for the schools and society also but school is trying to overcome from all those challeges.
  • 37. 37 CONCLUSION Shri.Bulidan Rathi Muk Badhir Vidyalya is a first school in Amravati dumb and deaf students.  This School is from Class 1st to 10th.  Classes from 6th to 10th started in 2006.  This school provide training to girl for self- defense.  Organizes many different events for there students.  Active participation of students in different competition organized at state level and district level.  This school get registered under Maharashtra state government in the year 2006.  This school provide all the basic facilities to there students such as computer lab, play ground , Mess , Cantine ,Bus Facilities etc.  This school is playing major role in up liftment of students, Making them independent, and over coming to the challenges of the socities.
