Prepare complete techno-feasibility reports for spinning/polymerization and other down
stream projects. These reports were prepared to obtain term loans from financial institutions
and banks after getting a complete appraisal done by banking experts. Project cost worked out
for each unit. Various components of the project include land & building costs, production
machinery and accessories costs, utility machinery costs, miscellaneous equipment costs,
working capital requirement and project starting up costs.

Production/Process Planning :
Work out all machine balancing for number of machines requirement at each sequential
process, with optimum process parameters for quality production and for optimum production
level for a given product mix. Poy and fdy spinning, Air texturising, mother yarn splitting,
Draw twisting, and Draw winding processes.
Setting up production targets and achieve the same within time and cost parameters and
optimizing man & machine utilization to achieve pre set production targets. Cost reduction by
optimum utilization of power=uyility.
Developing new process concepts for production optimization, yield improvement and
developing guidelines for the sequencing of manufacturing activities on the shop floor.
Coordinating from raw material to finish yarn for require quality, attending customer
complaints.

2. Project management :
Prepare complete plant layouts for a spinning mill from raw material
processing/polymerization to final polyester yarn for detail engineering. Besides preparation of
layouts for Draw Twisting, Draw winding and air Texturing units. These projects were actually
executed in the capacity of manager (projects)
Planning and effecting project implementation schedules to suit the targets.
The execution of the projects were handled by him as a project leader with the assistance of a
team of experts including civil engineers, electrical engineers, and textile engineers beside
other administrative staff.

The detailed engineering of this project was done by m/s Tata consultancy Mumbai. Worked as a shift
in charge of the plant, this is having major unit operations of chemical engineering. Targets of

• In charge for POY spinning until 1998. Major responsibilities handled are as under.
a. Worked with M/s Nova Petrochemicals Ltd. Ahmadabad since June 95. Gained expertise in the operation of
the m/s Barmag auto winders. Taijin auto winders
b. Production & Commissioning of eight POY and FDY spinning lines in phases from m/s Barmag and from
m/s Teijin. Increased the production by development of multi split process, modification of the electrical
heating system to liquid thermic fluid system.
c. Production planning and co ordination with marketing department and customer services
d. Development of components for multisplit process like spinnerets rollers and camshafts
e. Co ordination with marketing department and customers.
 Since 1998 worked in the capacity of sr. DGM in the project deptt.

 Responsibility: project management for construction. Selection of process and utility equipment and
Commissioning. Planning for the power source and distribution for critical, non-critical power. Planning for
new expansion for FDY lines. Selection of machines for Spin-drew.
 Nylon spinning. : Technology evolution for nylon Tire cord and fabric. Expansion for group companies in
polyester Draw Twisting and other area as Air Texturising. Mother yarn slitting etc. commissioning of the
above plants.
 Present responsibility: Erection and commissioning of Rs/- 25 core project for value addition at pandesara
sight in the Draw twisting (Ishikawa and Teijin Make), Air Tex (Aiki Japan). Yarn splitting M/Cs. 2nd
phase expansion of FDY yarn spinning at Silvessa. This also includes the gas-biased power plant of 1.3
mw. And 0775 mw at pandesara. Day- today monitoring of the project, planning for material, contractors
and other sight activity like schedule for funding, insurance coverage for imported – indigenous equipments
and machinery.
 Technical head for the pandesara unit. Cost and budgetary control and implementation. Monitoring
of the daily production and planning.
