3. FITT - Frequency
• Frequency means changing the time of day

week
• It is recommended to workout
2-5 times a week
depending on your
exercise tolerance

• Intensity has two workout meanings
– The percentage of one rep max you’re lifting
• A rep at 70% max is more intense than one at 50%
– How hard a workout is
• You can intensify your workout by adding more difficult
exercises or more weight

• Time can be the length of your workout
• Time also can be section of your workout a
muscle is singled out

• Type refers to different exercise options such
as free weights or machines
• Free weights allow more workout freedom for
your muscle development
