The physical domain covers the development of physical
changes, which includes growing in size and strength, as well as
the development of both gross motor skills and fine motor skills.
The physical domain also includes the development of the
senses and using them.
4. The difference between Fine motor
skills and Gross motor skills
FINE MOTOR SKILLS
Involve small body muscles such
as hands ,wrists. and fingers.
GROSS MOTOR SKILLS
Involve moving large muscle such
as arm, legs ,torso and back.
Gross motor skills involves whole
body movement.
5. Cognitive Domain
It involves how children think, explore and figure things out as well
as their problem solving skills and acquisition of knowledge.
The cognitive domain refers to the intellectual growth of the child
,their brain development and their capacity to learn and
understand the world .
Cognitive development includes,

6. Socio –emotional
Domain
Includes a child growing understanding
and control their emotion. They are
also begin to identify what others are
feeling , develop the ability to
cooperate, show empathy and use
moral reasoning.

as the changes the way we connect to
other individuals, and express and
understand emotions.
