What we did today was that we had to film our trailer.
The purpose of why we had to film our trailer today was because it was our last week
to film as we were behind on schedule and running out of time. We also had to wait
until the sky went dark. The reason we had to wait for the sun to go down was that
we needed our hoodie person too look scary which meant that we couldn’t see their
face properly apart from their nose or mouth. The sun started to set approximately
around 4:45pm.
The role I was personally responsible for was the lighting. This meant that I had to
see whether or not the lighting of the filming was good or bad. Because this was my
first time being in charge of lighting it was a bit of struggle but then I realised that
the lighting is really important as the audience would like to see how well or not the
film trailer would be and if it would look good or not.
The purpose of this was that we had to wait until sun set then we could film the
outside part of the ‘hoodie guy’. We also had to go to someone’s house that had a
small bedroom with dim lighting which wasn’t too bright or dark.
The impact it had on us was that we had to try and get the shots right without
messing up which did lead to some of our clips being not recorded or deleted.
The effect it had on us was that it we didn’t have enough male actors to go for our
‘hoodie guy’ role. We then decided to try a girl and a boy to wear a hoodie to see if
our ‘hoodie guy’ would look possible. We then finally decided the male to go ahead
with that character.
