The production log summarizes filming for a trailer on January 26th, 2015. They filmed scenes at night starting around 5pm to take advantage of the earlier sunset. As the main recorder, the author struggled with the camera buttons but managed to record, though accidentally capturing unwanted footage and some poor quality recordings. They used phone and torch lights to illuminate the dark scenes and had to quickly find a replacement male actor after realizing a girl couldn't convincingly play the role of a guy in a hoodie.
1. Production Log
Monday 26th January 2015
Today we did a lot of filming for our trailer. We were behind schedule, we had a lot to
do. We had to wait for it to get dark because a few of our scenes were set in the
night time and because it gets dark quicker now we were able to film our scenes at
around 5 o’clock.
I was mainly responsible for the recording. I had to record all the angles; I had to
choose where we’re going to be recording etc. I struggled a bit with the camera
because it was the first time I was using one of them cameras and there were too
many buttons. But I somehow managed. I accidently recorded a few bits I weren’t
supposed to record and not all the recording was great.
We needed torches and phones for light because it was really dark and without the
light it would have been pitch black.
We struggled a bit with the characters, we didn’t have enough actors. So we thought
of using a girl to play the role of the guy in the hoody, but it didn’t work so we ended
up using a last minute male actor. But it wasn’t too bad, we managed.
