1. Week 9
After arranging a date with the other main actor David who was previously busy on the days we reserved to film; we found a day to film 2/3
scenes he would be in. On this day I was scheduled to meet Janet and Femi at 4pm, we would then go on to meet David at his house however
after waiting for them at the agreed location for a good while I made my way to David's house by myself, to be meet by Janet and Femi later.
This problem lead to later delays to the already delayed filming of the 3rd scene.
However once they arrived we promptly began filming, alongside Janet we shot the scenes of “Kwame” getting dressed through this I made
sure we used a range of camera angles and Femi contributed to the idea of filming from floor level to add more variety to the positions and
angles of each shot.
Throughout I made valuable contributions to the smooth running if the filming ensuring every one stayed on task and concentrated on the
scene at hand. As well as this I continuously ensured that David the actor was portraying the right connotations of being a mysterious and
slightly disturbed character that could be capable of very disturbing things, by making sure he used appropriate body language and fitting
facial expressions.
During this week I also did some research into how to convert YouTube video and audio tracks into mp3’s which could be used as sound where
there was no dialogue and to add suspense and tension to the scenes building up to the climax. However I found that through doing this
conversion the sound quality would be dramatically reduced. After consulting my subject tutor I thought it would be best to advice my group
on using one of the pre-installed soundtracks in “Final Cut Pro” in our media department, this in turn would maintain the quality of our media
product while still having the desired effects we aimed to convey.
