3. In his speech “The
Accelerating Power of
Technology,” Ray explains the
foundation of technological
evolution, mankind's
inevitable transition of
combining our biology with
machines I.E. Transhumanism,
as well as a peak in to the
techs coming between now
and 2020
4. Rays first half of his
speech was about
the progression of
technology. He
explains how
scientist have
worked through
problems and
theories based
around how far
technology can go
before it can go no
further, however
as he explains
when a paradigm
comes to an end, a
new one will
always take its
place to continue
where it left off.
5. Ray goes on to finish with the current researches as well as future tech in progress now.
Examples such as robotic blood cells that could not only cure diseases but give us almost
super human abilities such as staying under water for hours with just one breath. Other
techs included bionic limbs to eventually connecting and uploading our minds to
computers and robots. The real amazing thing being that they are only a few years away
from completion.
6. Ray engages his audience by
being stern, straight forward,
and enticing the crowd with
topics that pertain to all of
them and by what they enjoy.
7. He kept the audience
engaged throughout by
keeping a calm and concise
manner, giving them the
information they needed
without trailing off. In other
words, he kept it to the
point.
8. Rays attitude and
Dynamism presentation is like a book,
you’ll get what you came for
Rating: 2/5 as long as you read into it.
He’s calm, professional, and
straightforward.
10. In contrast to Sir Ken Robinson,
Ray Kurzweil is very stern, calm,
straight forward, and
professional. While Robinson
brings out humor and story
telling in order to progress his
speeches and bring focus to the
crowd.
11. As long as you keep your topic clear
and in focus there is no limit to who or
how many people will lend you their
ears.
