This document contains a questionnaire for audience research on a fictional horror film project. The questions gather feedback on film genres, recent films watched, elements that make trailers and film synopses interesting, as well as opinions on the proposed film's plot points, trailer ideas, and mock promotional materials including a poster and website. Respondents are asked about what they like and dislike about the draft promotional materials, and how they could be improved to better market and represent the intended film.

As part of my A2 ancillary coursework, I must gather specific requirements that the audience of
the fictional horror film that me and my group will be creating would find interesting. This
feedback will also respond to promotional texts and so will help me create a poster and a website
that will accompany our fictional horror trailer.
If you are filling out this questionnaire then you fall into our target audience. Our target audience
are young people over the certification of “15”.
Please take the time to fill out this questionnaire so that I can redraft mock ups of my promotional
texts with appropriate feedback.

Sam Baker is a typical business man from London whose office job leads him heading for a
weekend in the North of England, in the rural area of Yorkshire. As he makes his commute
over the quiet moors, he notices a grotesquely masked man stood in the middle of the road
and in shock crashes his car abruptly.
Gradually waking after his accident, he finds himself surrounded by the concerned residents
of Woodwich. He meets Constance Browning, who appears to be trying to help him recover
however he grows suspicious as nurturing becomes intimidating and he realises that they are
limiting his contact to the outside world.

After two failed attempts to leave the town, he begins to note the frequent appearance of a
particular symbol in the town. He decides to investigate further and discovers the true nature
of the town. Helped by his only ally, a young waitress named Laura, he discovers that the
town centres around a cult at which Constance is at the helm. They believe that human
sacrifice will bring ‘salvation’ and plan to use Sam Baker in the ritual.
When Laura attempts to assist Sam’s escape, she is murdered by the cult. He is captured by
the cults “Guards of Paradise” but manages to set their church alight before he is sacrificed.
He leaves the town listening to their tortured screams.
He makes his way to the road, battered and bruised. He flags down a car and seems finally
peaceful in the knowledge he has escaped. However, Constance is in the vehicle.

8) Our ideas involve featuring the car crash, the meeting of Constance and Laura, noticing the
cult symbols and trying to escape and the burning of the church. Do you think this will
