1. How did Susan Hayward’s work on subgenre and the BBFC research that I did
influence my treatment?

Here is a passage on what Susan Hayward calls the unnatural subgenre of
horror, from her book, “Cinema Studies: The Key Concepts”.
The highlighted sections are those that I feel take influence within our
treatment. We decided in our treatment that our film was an unnatural horror.
These quotes about the devil, religious practice and dark messages are those
that we wish to convey within our trailer. That is why I believe that our film
would fall into this genre.

2. Again, I have highlighted the ideas in which I believe our treatment developed
through previous research. The themes within our trailer are quite menacing
but are in no way gory or sexualised, mainly due to them being of an unnatural
subgenre.
These are the reasons that we decided to classify it as a certificate 15 in our
treatment.
