Thursday 28th February 2013
Today we met up at Steph’s house to film some cult like shots and the
bedroom shots, of Sam Baker waking up in Woodwich. This wasn’t how we
planned as we had forgotten some props and we were under prepared
with extras.

This meet up taught me that the best planning we can do before
meeting up is to plan the entire cast, costume, props and locations we
need for specific shots before we meet up.

This acted as practice in using the camera and taking shots.

Saturday 9th March 2013
Me and Lauren met up at her house where we gathered all of our props
and styled Katie, playing Constance Browning, in her costume. With the
camera kit and all of our essentials ready, we headed up to her
Grandma’s house in a Saddleworth village.

When there we ascended to the main bedroom. We started by taking the
shots that were meant to be taken at Steph’s house.

We then moved on to the staircase where we took the shots involving
Sam Baker trying to escape. Then, we had gathered that we had taken
most of the story involved shots and decided that we wanted to
experiment with cult like shots.

Lauren used a scarf to cover her head and a piano in which she played
violently. With this image, I thought of using a hand held, POV shot
from behind to create a scary, stalker-like image.

This day was successful as we spend a lot of time grasping the main shots
that we had originally planned whilst also getting some extra shots
that would be interesting to edit into the trailer.

Thursday 14th March 2013
During an editing session on the 12th, we asked our teacher to look at
what we had edited together so far in order to get some critical
feedback. She suggested that our trailer needed some more horror-like
shots. With this in mind we began to think of shots that we could create.
During this lesson, we didn’t have any actors to work with and so we
had to use our own creativity to think of shots in which actors weren’t
involved. We decided to use more POV shots along with the use of the
exterior of the church outside of college.

We were successful in collecting some shorter shots with more movement.
