Oceans - a large body of water constituting a principal part of the

1. Pacific Ocean - It extends from the Arctic the north to the Southern Ocean
in the south. It also borders Asia and Australia in the west, and North and South
America in the east.
2. Atlantic Ocean -It borders North America and South America to the east
and Africa and Europe to the west.
3. Indian Ocean -It borders Africa, Asia, and Australia. It covers about 20% of
water on the Earth’s surface.
4. Southern Ocean -The Southern Ocean was named in 2000. It is the fourth
largest ocean and it encircles Antarctica.
5. Arctic Ocean -It borders North America, Europe and Asia. Part of the year
it is covered by sea ice.

Asian Russia (with the Caucasian isthmus) but excluding the island of New
Guinea, amounts to some 17,226,200 square miles (44,614,000 square km),
