Cubism was created between 1907-1914 by Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque, influenced by Primitivism, Fauvism, and Paul Cezanne. Cubism was based on Cezanne's emphasis on geometric forms, simultaneity of perspectives, and the passage of time in his paintings. Cubism paved the way for later art styles such as pop art, abstractionism, futurism, and others.
