This practicum experience will involve teaching novice-nursing students beginning their first semester of the nursing program. It is at this time that students are introduced to the nursing process and critical thinking skills. Nurse educator teaches the students that the American Nurses Association Standards hold the nursing process as the framework for critical thinking. The nursing process was developed in the 1950’s as an educational tool to promote patient centered nursing.
It provides a solid framework for the nursing practice.
It is integrated throughout in the nursing curricular in most of the nursing colleges and the National Council Licensure Examination-Registered Nurse (NCLEX-RN).
It provides the student the ability to use critical thinking skills and response on the basic of the scientific method.

Introduction
The nursing process was introduced in the 1955 by Hall and Johnson (1959). Nursing process is the essential core of practice for the nurse to provide holistic, patient-centered care. It is provide critical thinking competency that should be taught through out the nursing curriculum. The nursing process is a systematic approach to identifying patient’s actual problem or potential problems and establish a plan to meet the identified needs. It is a process that can be implemented in all areas of nursing. The nursing process is a framework that nursing students and nurses should use consistently and methodically use throughout their career to enable them to organize data and deliver evidenced based practice-nursing care.

Healthcare happens to be the concern of every facet of humanity and for this reason, the Panion project is of great interest and relevance to every community where it exists. At some point in our lives, we have found ourselves, or a family member, or a colleague, or friends needing medical attention, and we all desire that this health/medical situation be treated with the utmost care, skill, professionalism, and acceptable standard.
It would therefore be interesting to render our professional knowledge towards providing valuable information, analyzing potential challenges and opportunities, improving the system and methods to optimize the desired outcome of the Panion project.
A lot of factors that undermine the performance of care workers as identified by the client are but are not limited to;
· The mismatch between job specification and care worker’s attributes.
· The huge commission charged by health care agencies.
· Poor compensation and benefits packages,
· Long distances are often required to deliver service to health-seeker,
· Absence of incentives for skill enhancement and career development.
Scope: Having identified the problems that increased employee turnover in health care services, the Panion project seeks to address these problems and also increase employee retention by using employees retention strategies and tools like training, employee engagement, and development, benefits, and other employee capacity building skills.

- 2. Training should be done continually • Training should be done during initial hiring • Six months into first year of hire. • Annually after that.
- 3. Implementation of quarterly ethics training. • The organization will prepare presentations to be given at staff meetings on a quarterly basis to provide continued training. • One presentation should be conducted on HIPPA and patient confidentiality. • Another presentation will be conducted on not sharing usernames/passwords.
- 4. Training • All training will include real life situations – This will help make it more personal for staff – It will also show the severity of consequences if confidentiality of patients records are breached.
- 5. Effectiveness of Training • This type of training needs to be given multiple times to employees. The idea of patients confidentiality is simple enough, but I believe the problem comes into play because people don’t fully understand what that means. I’m sure many of the employees at UCLA who were caught viewing patient records of celebrities were only doing it because they were curious; not because they intended to share the information. It is important that people understand how important patient privacy is and one way to ensure that is to remind people through annual or even semi-annual training.
