This document discusses air pollution. It defines air pollution and notes that there are primary and secondary air pollutants. It outlines some major sources of air pollution including factories, automobiles, and energy sources. The document discusses the effects of air pollution on human health like lung cancer and respiratory issues, and on plants and animals. It concludes with some solutions to air pollution such as greening operations, renewable energy, and reducing CFCs.
causes and effects of environmental pollution mainly about the air and water pollution and it includes the what is mean by environmental pollution and what is mean by water pollution ,air pollution and contains how to control the pollution and the ways in which man leading to pollution and also contains defects caused due to the environmental pollution
Air pollution is a mixture of solid particles and gases in the air. Car emissions, chemicals from factories, dust, pollen and mold spores may be suspended as particles. Ozone, a gas, is a major part of air pollution in cities. When ozone forms air pollution, it's also called smog.

Synthetic Fiber Construction in lab .pptxPavel ( NSTU)
Synthetic fiber production is a fascinating and complex field that blends chemistry, engineering, and environmental science. By understanding these aspects, students can gain a comprehensive view of synthetic fiber production, its impact on society and the environment, and the potential for future innovations. Synthetic fibers play a crucial role in modern society, impacting various aspects of daily life, industry, and the environment. ynthetic fibers are integral to modern life, offering a range of benefits from cost-effectiveness and versatility to innovative applications and performance characteristics. While they pose environmental challenges, ongoing research and development aim to create more sustainable and eco-friendly alternatives. Understanding the importance of synthetic fibers helps in appreciating their role in the economy, industry, and daily life, while also emphasizing the need for sustainable practices and innovation.
2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

Pollution
Air Pollution
Types of Air Pollutants
Sources of Air Pollution
Effect of Air Pollution
Solution for Air Pollution
3. Pollution
Pollution is the introduction of harmful
substances or products into the environment.
There are 3 major types of Pollution.
Air pollution
Water pollution
Land pollution
4. Airpollution
It is defined as any atmospheric
condition in which certain
substances are present in such
concentrations that they produce
undesirable effects on humans
and environment.
5. Typesofairpollutants
Primary pollutants
Put directly into the air by human
activity
Ex: sulfur dioxide released from
burning fossil fuel .
Secondary
pollutants
Primary pollutants react with other
primary pollutants or water vapor
to make a new substance
Ex: sulfur dioxide mixes with water
in atmosphere and causes acid rain
9. Effects of Air Pollution
Air Pollution affects
Human health
Animals
Plants
10. Effects on Human health
Lung cancer
Irritation of the eyes ,
nose , throat .
Main problem are related
to respiratory track –
asthma, heavy fever etc
Mercury – central nervous
system , kidney and brain .
Radioactive substances
affect future generation
11. Effects on Plants
Pollutants enter through stomata
Destroy chlorophyll and affact
photosynthesis
Abscission – dropping of leaf
Death
12. Effects on animals
Air pollutants mix with rain water and
increase acidity of water body and kill fish.
When animals inhale pollute gases, they
suffocated and die.
13. Solution for Air Pollution
Greening operation
Planting trees
Renewable energy
Relocation of polluting industries away from
place where people live
Development of waste and garbage disposal
recycling
Car checks
Avoid purchasing excess amount of products
that contain CFCs.
