- 3. 107 years old Our school started 1901 by some parents who wanted boys and girls to go together in the same school. Sam means together in Swedish. The school has been inspired by Maria Montessori’s ideas. It does not confess to any religion. Creative subjects such as art, music and craft play an important role in our school.

- 6. Traditions Traditions arean important part of our school life. .
- 7. When the schoolyear starts we celebrate with a party in one of our schoolyard.
- 8. We celebrate Luciaat 13 th December .
- 9. Lussedansen is aperformance where every class presents a different folk dance. This year it is on 17th of December. Everybody wears a national costume from Sweden or another country.
- 10. In springtime, 30th April, we welcome the spring by having an outdoor assembly and sing traditional songs.

- 15. Wood work andtextile handicraft All students from the age of seven have either wood work or textile handicraft once a week in well equipped classrooms with trained teachers.
