This is where the film will
starts. It was chosen
because, even if it is a
living room, it can be
filmed easily in wide shot.
I also selected that room
because it is the closest
room to the front door.
This is used to keep the
story moving faster and
without unnecessary loss
of time.
This is where the protagonist wakes up after the
nightmare. I chose this room because it has a
matrimonial bed, so it can help the audience to
understand that the female character is his
girlfriend and they lived together. This conveys a
sense of loneliness to the audience, it is possible
to understand that the nightmare is also a
memory: the female character was actually
killed by two men.
I chose this location for the scene in the
kitchen because i need a rectangular table
where the first vision takes place. I chose a
kitchen beacause i think it is the most family
place of a house. There we can eat, we can
study, we can play… It is the only room of a
house where you can live. I want the
protagonist to have a vision in that place
because the kitchen conveys a sense of calm
and peace. This will bring to have a contrast
with what he will see, bringing to feel us
disoriented.
This is the location of my final scene. It chose it
because it is the same location of the first scene.
This is to return to the origins: in fact he will see
his girlfriend right there, where she is dead. I
chose this room also because it has a very long
rectangular floor plan. This allows me to film
easily in wide shot, with a very accented depth.
Depth conveys a sense of disconnection between
the reality and the visions.
