▪ Clear and active license
▪ Two years experience
▪ Board Certification for ARNP and PA
▪ Provide health care in needed specialties
▪ Primary Care, Women’s Health, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Hospitalist,
Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, Psychiatry/Psychology, Surgery,
Geriatrics, Elder Care, Adult Primary, and more.
▪ Strong interest in helping with Clinical Match Me’s mission:
educating the next generation of caring, compassionate, and
competent health care providers.

How to Be a CMM Preceptor

Complete all of student’s school required evaluations Provide appropriate forms, documents to school
Step 5
Contact student Prepare the student for work
Step 4
Review and confirm acceptance of student Confirm with CCM Consultant student acceptance
What is Expected of You
▪ Be a mentor and resource for the student
▪ Follow the schools guidelines for evaluation of the student
▪ Be available if the school needs to reach out to you for a phone
conference.
Preparation to Receive the Student
▪ Contact the student prior to the projected start date
▪ Confirm the start date
▪ Confirm the work schedule
▪ Confirm the number of total hours needed.
▪ Detail the appropriate attire for your office.
▪ Provide an overview of how your office operates
▪ Roles of each staff member
▪ Patient intake to patient exit.
▪ Rules for lunch and other incidentals
▪ Tell the student what software you utilize
▪ Determine if the student needs a tutorial and when, if necessary, to
provide that training or training manual.
▪ Discuss with the student your medical philosophy
▪ When you expect the student to ask for assistance
Receive the Student
▪ Greet the student
▪ This person should match the photograph
▪ Introductions to all staff members
▪ Tour of facility
▪ Where does the student place personal affects
▪ Is there a bathroom just for employees?
▪ Any details pertinent to your office
▪ Overview of patient intake to patient discharge
▪ Your office culture
Compensation
▪ Independent contractor
▪ Receive a 1099
▪ Honorarium of $650 per student you accept.
▪ Eligible for bonuses
