Style Sheet

Bradley Hand ITC – I think my audience will like this font because it
makes the text stand out and makes it bolder.
BUXTON SKETCH – I think my audience will like this font because it
looks fun and new.
SketchFlow Print – My audience will like this
as it looks young and different from other
fonts.
These fonts fit in with the current trend in music
magazines as they are fun and simplistic.
All these have inspired me to use them on my own
work. For me to see how it looks, I have used them
on my layouts. These fonts will appeal to my
audience as they are unlike any other magazine
fonts. It makes it unique. As, my magazine is called
‘Inspire’ I think that it will inspire my audience to
read more or get inspired by the articles. This is
how it will achieve this purpose. The masthead is
thought provoking. It makes the audience think
about what they can do.
Style Sheet
Colours: Similar Images:
The colours I have picked are feminine . I
think the colours will appeal to my
audience as they will stand out on my front
cover. I will use these colours for my text,
background, masthead and headlines. My
magazine’s purpose is to entertain my
audience, through the colours is one way.
By this, I will choose bright colours so then
it links in with the artist that I have chosen.
These colours will be on the front cover
and used for the text so then it will stand
out on my magazine cover.
I will take some of the fonts, colours and
styles from the similar images. This will
help me produce my own work, as it will
help with the design and layout. The image
on my front cover, will be of Rachel who is
an upcoming artist for her major project.
So, everything on the front cover will be
vibrant, bold and will stand out. This is
what will stand out to my audience. My
magazine’s purpose is to entertain my
audience, through the main image which
will be the main importance. I will choose
a suitable image from my photo shoot and
edit it.

Colours:
The only colour I have used is white. This
connotes to the purity of the couple. As
Beyoncé is pregnant the colour red
connotes that she is compassionate and
loving. With this main colours that pop out
are red, black and white. I decided to carry
on with the white so it stands out more
than the black and red. My audience will like
the colour scheme as it is effective and it
works well together.
Fonts:
I have used Sketch Flow Print for the sub
heading. I think my audience will like this
font for the sub heading because it gives a
bold look and it you can clearly read it.
For the mast head, I have used Bradley
Hand ITC. For this font, I believe my
audience will like it because it goes along
side with the other font with both of them
being bold and standing out.

Layout 2
Colours:
For the masthead I have used a lime green so it
stands out. I have used this colour again in the
feature headline with a blue glow. This was to
make it stand out more and to show the audience
who the main image is. The sub-headings I have
done in white and orange. I picked two different
colours so then it didn’t match the rest. I wanted
to make this front cover different from others. I
think my audience will like because its unlike other
magazines and if my audience are into change
then it will suit them.
Fonts:
The mast head is Bradley Hand ITC. I think my audience
will like this font because it is bold and it makes the
mast head stand out more.
The feature headline is Adobe Garamond Pro, this will
appeal to the audience as it makes it clear who the
artist is.
Finally, the sub-headings are Baskerville Old Face. This
will be liked by my audience as it’s simple. The other
fonts show the importance on the cover and it shows
that the sub-headings aren’t as important.

Contingency Planning
Potential Issue Solution
Software crashes I will reload the software and make sure I’ve
saved my work beforehand otherwise I would
have lost all my work.
Computer crashes I will need to make sure my work is saved and
then move to a different computer so I can
carry on working.
My work doesn't save For this, I will need to put my work on your USB
and email it to myself. I could also send it to my
tutor for backup.
No computers available I will find a room that one of my tutors are in
and work in their class or even the library to do
some work.
Not keeping to the deadline First, I will make sure I know when the
deadlines are so I know when to send my work
in. If I need extra time, then I will come into
college on my day off or do it over the
weekend.
Lost USB or left at home I will need to make sure you email it to myself
so I can access it at home or email it to a tutor.
Health and Safety
Potential Issue How will the issue be
avoided?
You could trip over a wire Have all wires to one side to nobody trips over
People who have come from outside
(if it’s been raining) will likely to slip over
Make sure they dry their feet before entering
the studio
In case, you get a headache from looking at the
screen for too long
Have the screen on a tilt for a comfortable head
position
For your legs, they might get cramp or tired Use a footrest if feet do not rest on the floor or
slightly lower your seat
No room under the desk for your legs Make space for postural changes so no objects
under the desk e.g. bags or wires
You cannot see the screen because your seat is
either low
You will need to sort your seat height to a
suitable height where you can see the screen
Schedule
Day Plan of Action Resources Required
Day 1 I need to make sure the recent Power Points are up
to date before I start my project.
I will be needing a computer
and my USB as it has my work
on it.
Day 2 I have already booked out the studio for the photo
shoot. All I need to do is go to the studio and get the
equipment ready.
For this day, I will be needing
the studio, a camera and a
tripod for stability.
Day 3 After my photoshoot, I will need to check the
images and edit them.
A computer with photo shop
and my USB
Day 4 Check images and edit A computer with photo shop
and my USB
Day 5 I will start my front cover and get my audio interview
done.
A computer with photo shop
and my USB. I will also be
needing a recorder.
Day 6 Start my double page spread and get answers for the
interview article.
A computer with photo shop
and my USB
Day 7 Start my second double page spread and add in the
quiz and the next part of my interview article.
A computer with photo shop

I decided to carry on with the white so it stands out more than the black and red. My audience will like the colour scheme as it is effective and it works well together. Fonts: I have used Sketch Flow Print for the sub heading. I think my audience will like this font for the sub heading because it gives a bold look and it you can clearly read it. For the mast head, I have used Bradley Hand ITC. For this font, I believe my audience will like it because it goes along side with the other font with both of them being bold and standing out.
  • 5. I N S P I R E What is happening with James Arthur and Scherzinger? Ellie Goulding dropping new single with Kygo Layout 2 Colours: For the masthead I have used a lime green so it stands out. I have used this colour again in the feature headline with a blue glow. This was to make it stand out more and to show the audience who the main image is. The sub-headings I have done in white and orange. I picked two different colours so then it didn’t match the rest. I wanted to make this front cover different from others. I think my audience will like because its unlike other magazines and if my audience are into change then it will suit them. Fonts: The mast head is Bradley Hand ITC. I think my audience will like this font because it is bold and it makes the mast head stand out more. The feature headline is Adobe Garamond Pro, this will appeal to the audience as it makes it clear who the artist is. Finally, the sub-headings are Baskerville Old Face. This will be liked by my audience as it’s simple. The other fonts show the importance on the cover and it shows that the sub-headings aren’t as important.

  • 8. Contingency Planning Potential Issue Solution Software crashes I will reload the software and make sure I’ve saved my work beforehand otherwise I would have lost all my work. Computer crashes I will need to make sure my work is saved and then move to a different computer so I can carry on working. My work doesn't save For this, I will need to put my work on your USB and email it to myself. I could also send it to my tutor for backup. No computers available I will find a room that one of my tutors are in and work in their class or even the library to do some work. Not keeping to the deadline First, I will make sure I know when the deadlines are so I know when to send my work in. If I need extra time, then I will come into college on my day off or do it over the weekend. Lost USB or left at home I will need to make sure you email it to myself so I can access it at home or email it to a tutor.
  • 9. Health and Safety Potential Issue How will the issue be avoided? You could trip over a wire Have all wires to one side to nobody trips over People who have come from outside (if it’s been raining) will likely to slip over Make sure they dry their feet before entering the studio In case, you get a headache from looking at the screen for too long Have the screen on a tilt for a comfortable head position For your legs, they might get cramp or tired Use a footrest if feet do not rest on the floor or slightly lower your seat No room under the desk for your legs Make space for postural changes so no objects under the desk e.g. bags or wires You cannot see the screen because your seat is either low You will need to sort your seat height to a suitable height where you can see the screen
