1. This document outlines a pre-assessment and introductory assignment for an art orientation course. Students are instructed to analyze and describe 4 images in 10 sentence paragraphs each, focusing on what they see and their personal experiences, and email the responses to the instructor. 2. The introductory assignment asks students to analyze additional images by describing the subject, material, distinguishing characteristics, and their visual and interest response, defending an answer of "yes" or "no" as to whether they find it interesting. Students are to email these responses to the instructor. 3.
