Read the mark scheme on the blog
ewila2mediaexam.blogspot.co.uk
Read through your exam looking at:
The clarity of your argument
The range and amount of detail of your examples examples
Does your essay refer to past, present and future representations?
Is there more than one media type? (TV/Film/Newspapers/Online)
The amount of theory and terminology
How much of it is there?
Is it relevant?
Is it correct?
On a separate sheet give your essay a level between 1 and 4.
Write 2 things you think you did well in the essay
Write 2 things you feel you can improve upon
3. MARKING THE MOCK
Swap essays with someone in the room (not your friend or neighbour)
Make sure not to give them the sheet with your marks/comments
Read through the essay you now have
Write 2 things you think they did well
Write 2 things you think they can improve upon
While you are reading the essay do NOT ask the writer any questions
Give the essay back to its owner
Do the comments they have given match to your own?
What can you learn from their comments?
What have you learnt from the essay you read?
How can these things improve your own essay writing?
