The document discusses Pakistan's plans for 5G trials and requirements. It proposes using spectrum below 2GHz for wide coverage, 2-6GHz for a balance of capacity and coverage, and above 6GHz for extremely high data rates. Trials will use LTE-Advanced technology and equipment supporting carrier aggregation and high-order modulations to achieve multi-Gbps speeds. A working group is being formed between the regulator, operators, vendors and academia to conduct trials in available spectrum such as 3.5GHz and establish a framework for 5G testing and deployment.

Removing Uninteresting Bytes in Software FuzzingAftab Hussain
Imagine a world where software fuzzing, the process of mutating bytes in test seeds to uncover hidden and erroneous program behaviors, becomes faster and more effective. A lot depends on the initial seeds, which can significantly dictate the trajectory of a fuzzing campaign, particularly in terms of how long it takes to uncover interesting behaviour in your code. We introduce DIAR, a technique designed to speedup fuzzing campaigns by pinpointing and eliminating those uninteresting bytes in the seeds. Picture this: instead of wasting valuable resources on meaningless mutations in large, bloated seeds, DIAR removes the unnecessary bytes, streamlining the entire process.
In this work, we equipped AFL, a popular fuzzer, with DIAR and examined two critical Linux libraries -- Libxml's xmllint, a tool for parsing xml documents, and Binutil's readelf, an essential debugging and security analysis command-line tool used to display detailed information about ELF (Executable and Linkable Format). Our preliminary results show that AFL+DIAR does not only discover new paths more quickly but also achieves higher coverage overall. This work thus showcases how starting with lean and optimized seeds can lead to faster, more comprehensive fuzzing campaigns -- and DIAR helps you find such seeds.

6. Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO)
• MIMO is used to increase the overall bitrate through transmission
of two (or more) different data streams on two (or more) different
antennas to be received by two or more antennas.
• Using multiple data streams for the same frequency, the data
throughput will double for a 2x2 MIMO system, and quadruple for a
4x4 MIMO system.
7. Throughput and Capacity versus SNIR
• We need to optimize the RF environment
• Good Signal to Interference + Noise Ratio (SINR) will result in high
data speed and will produce more traffic per investment
• Maximize the wanted signal, minimize the noise and interference in
the system (good isolation)

• The advantage of using QAM is that it is a higher order form of

of a link can be increased.

• LTE-A Rel-12 and above supports 4 or more carriers to be aggregated.

• LTE utilizes the UE Categories or classes to define the performance
specifications of LTE devices.
• It enables LTE base stations to be able to communicate effectively
with UE knowing their performance levels.
• Different LTE categories have a wide range in the supported
parameters and performance.
• Category 6 and above UE may achieve higher data rates from
combining multiple 20 MHz channels using Carrier Aggregation.
