•  Aim: To determine the
conductivity of variety
of materials.
•  Hypothesis: write your
own hypothesis on your
experimental report.
EQUIPMENT
•  1 × DC power pack
•  1 × light globe
•  3 × connecting wires
•  2 × alligator clips
•  1 × paperclip
•  1 × strip of copper
•  1 × strip of aluminium
•  1 × strip of paper
EQUIPMENT
•  1 × plastic spoon
•  1 × piece of silk or
cotton
•  1 × iron nail
•  1 × piece of glass
•  1 × ice-cream stick
•  1 × coin
•  1 × piece of graphite
•  1 × piece of rubber

METHOD
1.  Set up the circuit as
shown in the image RHS
2.  Set the voltage to 6 V.
3.  Place the paperclip
between the alligator
clips.
4.  Observe whether the light
globe glows.
5.  Record the results into the
results table.
6.  Repeat steps 2-5 for other
materials.

5.  Explain why graphite conducts electricity.
6.  Is air a conductor or an insulator? How would you
test this?
CONCLUSION
