This study investigated the efficacy of Interactive Spaced Education (ISE) for teaching physical examination skills to medical students. 170 second-year students were randomly assigned to receive ISE via daily emails over 3 cycles or act as a control. ISE combined spaced repetition with self-testing. Students receiving ISE showed an average retention improvement of 7.9% after the first cycle and 74.4% after the third cycle compared to controls. Students found ISE to be an effective and acceptable learning method and recommended continuing the program. However, the study was limited by being conducted at a single institution and only assessing physical exam knowledge rather than skills.

The GCU dissertation template describes several ways to establish reliability research studies. A researcher increases the statistical power of a quantitative study by increasing the sample size. This reduces the chance that a real effect (rather than an apparent effect brought about by sampling variability) will be overlooked.
Does triangulation offer the qualitative methodologist a similar reduction in the likelihood of overlooking important results? Why or why not?
Statistical power is a term used is studies that employ quantitative method of research as it is concerned with measuring events with objective observations and numerical assignments of data especially when a causal relationship is the focus (Golafshani, 2003). However, qualitative inquiry seeks to understand rather than point to cause or reason. The focus of this approach is to allow the discovery of phenomenon to unfold naturally so that information uncovered in the process can illuminate other, similar concerns where information may be extrapolated to other scenarios (Golafshani, 2003).
Since the researcher is the “instrument” of measure in this type of inquiry, triangulation of data by using a variety of collection sources such as observations, archives, focus groups, documents, and interviews can help strengthen the integrity of the study (Hatch, 2002). Additionally, the researcher can collect diverse views by collaboration with other researchers, peers, colleagues, and/or those with particular expertise so that alternate explanations can be generated using multiple sources, multiple people to find where ideas converge and diverge. Therefore, qualitative research demands more than adequate sample-size, it flourishes in inquiry and depth of probe.

Triangulation is the use of several methods and/or data sources to have a robust understanding of the phenomenon one is studying (Carter, Bryant-Lukosius, DiCenso, Blythe, & Neville, 2014). Triangulation can confirm data and ensure data is complete by using multiple methods for one study, comparing data from various sources (Houghton, Casey, Shaw, & Murphy, 2013). Leung (2015) argues that qualitative research is an important part of psycho-social studies but notes that qualitative research is often criticized for lack of quality valuation and strength. This study intends to explore the current trends in the field of distance education research catalogued in Web of Science (WoS) database during 1980-2016. Mainly bibliographic description and social network analysis was employed to investigate the structure and patterns of information exchanged within the field of distance education research and also to interpret the interrelationship between keywords indicated in these articles. A total of 500 most cited articles (out of 6,141 relevant to the topic) were reviewed to examine the impact of factors such as journal DOI and keywords on the number of citations that they received. We also identified major trends in distance education literature including variation across publication and citation year, top ranking of institutions and top ranking of published papers based on authors, subject area and co-authorship collaboration between countries. Our results show that the most cited articles are from two institutions of United States and United Kingdom and the most prolific years in terms of number of published articles and citations are 2013.We also found non-significant and very small correlation between the number of citation and DOI number of the journals. Our study serves as a resource for future studies by indicating how trends in distance education research have gradually developed over time and demonstrating the characteristics of the most cited articles in this literature.

While prior research has established linkages between undergraduate students' library use, research participa-
tion, and success, researchers know little about the importance undergraduates place upon libraries and research
activities. Utilizing data from the Student Experience in the Research University (SERU) survey, the purpose of
this paper was to examine factors associated with the importance of libraries and research among undergradu-
ates at nine large, public research universities. The results of this study suggest a variety of factors are positively
associated with the importance of libraries and research for students, including participation in research activi-
ties, interest in medical or research careers, academic engagement, faculty interactions, library satisfaction, and
development of library skills, among others.

Few would question the vital, symbiotic relationship academic li-
braries have with the college and university campuses within which
they reside. Kuh and Gonyea (2003, p. 256), for example, noted that
“the library is the physical manifestation of the core values and activities
of academic life”. While the value of academic libraries may seem axi-
omatic, nearly two decades ago, Denham (1995, p. 38) suggested that
libraries were “under threat” as they faced critical issues that threatened
their existence. While libraries have changed considerably in the last
several decades, challenges to the value of libraries have persisted
(Oakleaf, 2010). Several researchers have conducted studies addressing
the complex and dynamic value of libraries for colleges and universities;
for example, through a comprehensive literature review, Lindauer
(1998) concluded that academic libraries make significant contribu-
tions to campuses by promoting the quality of teaching and learning
outcomes. In addition, Weiner (2008) found significant and positive as-
sociations between library expenditures and the external reputation of
institutions, suggesting the important role libraries hold in enhancing
overall institutional prestige.

Presented at Open Repositories 2018, Bozeman, MT. Abstract: Open access outreach at colleges and universities tends to focus on faculty. Student work captured in repositories is generally theses and dissertations, deposited by rote as a last step before graduation. This leaves a large student population and a large body of their work under focused-on and underserved. This presentation suggests that educating students about scholarly sharing practices and capturing student work beyond ETDs from the very beginning of their careers not only preserves valuable scholarship otherwise at risk of becoming inaccessible, but begins to build openness into research practices and grow a sustainable open ecosystem. Many students will go onto graduate school and enter academia, becoming the next generation of authors who are primed to advocate for and take advantage of opportunities to openly share their work. The presentation will discuss benefits of adding student work to institutional repositories; small-scale case studies of gathering and sharing student work beyond ETDs; lessons learned; and on-going challenges. After attending this session, participants will have a stronger understanding of some of the considerations of including student work in repositories and be able to apply the discussed case studies as inspiration for outreach, education, and collection-building at their own institution.

This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the
help of Advanced technologies like Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems is
