*Always remember the following safety and health
practices while sewing. They are observed to avoid
accidents.
*Have a sewing box for you to place all your sewing
materials.
*Use thimble if you are going to sew by hand.
*Place the needles and pins in pincushion not in your
mouth when not in use
*Use a pair of sharp shears to cut accurately, evenly and
smoothly but be careful in using them.
*Check the machine before and after using, tighten all
screws and fix the cord in place.

14. Steps of cutting the two-toned pillow
case:
1. Transfer the measurement in pattern paper
to the cloth with the use of carbon paper
and tracing wheel.
2. Apply the allowances on the sides
suggested during the pattern making.
3. Draw a lines connecting the allowances.
4. Cut along the lines of allowances.

15. Steps in sewing the two-toned pillow

*1. Place the first tone of cloth on the table.
*Place the wrong side of second tone of cloth on top of the first
tone.
*Roll the second tone of cloth until it almost reach the top.
*Pin the other end of the first tone to the until the 3 end are layer
on top of each other.
*Sew ¼ from the edge of the layered cloth.
*Turn it over to reveal the folded first tone.
*Fold the cloth wrong side facing each other, pin the sides and
bottom of the raw edges then sew ¼ as allowance.
*Turn it over to reveal the wrong sides (right side facing each
other).
*Sew ½ inch to finish the project.
*Cut extra threads for clean finish.
