This document summarizes a pilot study comparing online and blended learning in graduate programs at two universities. It provides perspectives from students, faculty, administrators, and instructional designers at both universities on their experiences with online and blended/hybrid courses. It also provides background information on the types of online and blended learning used at each university, and introduces BOLD (Blended Learning Design) as an international research initiative exploring online and blended learning.
