

Despite a very good working atmosphere among the
colleagues at the University of Applied Science, sharing is not
common. What are the main reasons for this reluctance to
share and can this reluctance be overcome to create a
common platform to share lesson plans with the whole faculty.

Solution


Haven’t got that far yet as everything was reworked after
TMA01. Probably using “old” technologies such as Moodle
which all the lecturers already no how to use and assessing
how to overcome the barriers.

  • 1. + Poster Draft Supporting openness and sharing among faculty members in the humanities department of a University of Applied Science.
  • 2. + Current Situation  Over 30 colleagues in the department  Sharing common within “cliques”  No sharing with whole department  Several attempts made to create portal
  • 3. + Research Question  Despite a very good working atmosphere among the colleagues at the University of Applied Science, sharing is not common. What are the main reasons for this reluctance to share and can this reluctance be overcome to create a common platform to share lesson plans with the whole faculty.
  • 4. + Why share?  Time “There are a host of great online platforms providing free access to high-quality resources that help teachers do their jobs.”  Experience “By changing the way teachers engage, learn from and inspire each other, the Teaching Channel hopes to capitalize on the rich base of expertise in the field.”  Quality “These online networks have the capacity to improve the profession of teaching, and provide the support and resources that teachers need.”  Support “Too many teachers are on their own. It’s a sink-or-swim system, as Weingarten has often noted, but it doesn’t have to be that way.”
  • 6. + Solution  Haven’t got that far yet as everything was reworked after TMA01. Probably using “old” technologies such as Moodle which all the lecturers already no how to use and assessing how to overcome the barriers.
