We used typical cliques seen in teen dramas like popular kids and geeks, but subverted expectations with our ending where the main character ends up alone instead of in a relationship. Many successful teen dramas like Mean Girls and The Fault in Our Stars challenge conventions by having non-romantic or tragic endings. We were inspired by these films and developed some conventions like making the popular girl less mean and having the geeky boy get a new girlfriend.

- 2. LOL Movie Poster Layout This movie poster has a very different type of style that you wouldn't’t normally see with teen drama posters. By having the superimposed images of the couple add a dimension to it to make it seem a lot more serious. Also by having the sunset in the background of the photo portrays theme of romance which is enhanced by the intimate images of the couple.
- 3. LOL Movie Poster Target Audience The target audience of this film is aimed towards 15-30 year olds. Having teenagers on the front of the movie poster makes clear that the audience will be watching a film about teenagers lives and having a teenage target audience will attract them as they will be able to relate to the story. However due to the drama side of the film, the drama will also attract older audiences. Reaction As we have all seen this film I can say that this poster represents this film exactly. From an audience that would not of seen this film the colours and the composition of the photos stands out and makes this more eye catching and appealing to the certain target audiences. Also the main focal point of the images makes this easier for the audience to relate and see that it is a romantic genre film.
