The document provides commentary on Revelation chapters 1-3, focusing on the letter to the church in Sardis. It describes the historical context of Sardis and analyzes themes in the letter. The key points are:
- Sardis was once a wealthy city but had become known for unfulfilled promises like the "unsinkable" Titanic.
- The church in Sardis appeared alive but was spiritually dead despite a reputation. Jesus calls them to repent of inactive faith.
- Faith without works is dead, so they must keep Jesus' commands to overcome. The faithful will be vindicated and their names preserved.
This document discusses Christianity's views on women and marriage based on passages from the Bible and writings of early Christian thinkers. It presents passages from Paul's letters that establish the hierarchy of man over woman. It also discusses views from other early Christian writers like Tertullian, who believed women should dress modestly as a sign of repentance, and Augustine, who argued that while some men in the Bible had multiple wives to promote larger families, it was never acceptable for women to have multiple husbands under Christian doctrine. The document examines early Christian teachings around the roles and appearance of women in the church and within marriage.
The document discusses Paul's teachings on marriage, singleness, and sexuality from 1 Corinthians 7. Some key points include: Paul says it is better for people to remain unmarried so they can devote themselves fully to God, but if they cannot exercise self-control, it is better to marry. He also teaches that marriage should be between a man and woman, divorce is discouraged, and both married and unmarried people should remain in the situations they were in when they became Christians. The purpose of singleness is to live without distractions in order to devote full attention to God.

June 11 2017 - Sunday Message - PASSION FOR JESUS. (HATING TO BE LUKEWARM…) ...Catherine Lirio
God addresses the church in Laodicea, describing them as lukewarm - neither hot nor cold for God. He rebukes them for losing their passion and vision for Jesus, becoming unfaithful and unwilling to grow. God desires passionate followers and warns that a lukewarm attitude greatly displeases Him. He calls the church to restore their fire for Jesus by repenting of sins that have caused their stagnation, and to overcome lukewarmness so they can share in His kingdom.
The Office of the Keys gives the church authority to forgive repentant sinners or withhold forgiveness from the unrepentant. This authority was given by Christ to the apostles and is exercised through pastoral ministry. Absolution is the public declaration of forgiveness to those who confess their sins and repent. Repentance involves acknowledging one's sins, resolving to sin no more, and trusting in God's mercy through Christ.
This document discusses the concept of freedom in Christ from multiple perspectives. It begins by exploring the freedom given to man in Genesis and how man chose to disobey God. It then discusses how righteousness and obedience to God's will leads to life, while disobedience leads to death. Several passages are presented showing how Christ offers deliverance from sin and death and brings true freedom. The document emphasizes that God does not use compulsion in His kingdom, but allows man free will to choose obedience, and that obedience to God may bring persecution from others but true freedom is found only in Christ.
This document provides the readings for the Sixth Sunday after Epiphany, including passages from Deuteronomy, 1 Corinthians, and Matthew. The theme is how Christ sets life before us so we can walk in his ways. Deuteronomy promises life and blessing for obeying God's commandments by loving him. 1 Corinthians addresses divisions in the church and how believers are like God's field and building. Matthew has Jesus explaining how the law against murder also prohibits anger, and how divorce and oaths should be understood. The readings call believers to unity and following Christ's example in thought, word and deed.
The document is a collection of songs, prayers, scripture passages and announcements related to Christianity. It includes the lyrics of several praise songs focusing on wanting to see and be in God's light. It also includes the Lord's Prayer, passages about confession and redemption through Christ, and announcements about upcoming church events.
This document discusses teachings about the Holy Spirit, calling, and ministry. It explains that the book contains teachings on topics like the Holy Spirit, anointing, calling, breaking curses, fasting, baptism of the Holy Spirit, and building holy altars. The purpose of the book is to help readers understand who they are and how to serve God in their ministry by preparing themselves and others for the kingdom of heaven. The author is Apostle Simon Gichinga and it was written to bring out the reader's calling.

Paul prays that his friend Philemon would actively share his faith so that he may have a full understanding of all the spiritual blessings available through Christ. Paul wants Philemon to glorify God through demonstrating his faith to others. When Christians share their faith, it leads to greater knowledge of God and furthers his glory.

Saul was a Pharisee who zealously persecuted early Christians. While traveling to Damascus to arrest Christians, Saul experienced a vision of Jesus that left him blind. After three days, a disciple named Ananias visited Saul and his sight was restored. Saul was filled with the Holy Spirit and became a follower of Jesus, changing his name to Paul. Paul went on to preach the gospel to the Gentiles, experiencing God's forgiveness and serving as a servant of Christ despite his previous persecution of Christians.
This document contains the text and responses for a Catholic mass. It includes:
1) An opening dialogue and prayers to begin the mass.
2) Two scripture readings from the Old and New Testaments, along with a responsorial psalm.
3) The Gospel reading and acclamation.
4) Prayers, including the Creed, Prayer of the Faithful, and Eucharistic prayer.
5) Concluding rites including the Lord's Prayer, sharing the sign of peace, communion, and final blessing. The mass brings Catholics together through scripture, prayer, and sacrament.
The document discusses head coverings and roles within marriage and the church. It states that the head of every man is Christ and the head of woman is her husband. It also discusses the importance of examining oneself before taking communion to avoid bringing judgment on oneself. The overall message is that there should be complementary roles between men and women for the glory of God.
The document provides a summary of the readings for the 20th Sunday in Ordinary Time A, including commentary on the first reading from Isaiah, the responsorial psalm, second reading from Romans, and the gospel reading from Matthew. The key points are:
- God commands all people to live righteously and calls his house a house of prayer for all peoples.
- The readings discuss God's desire to save all people, both Jews and Gentiles, through faith and mercy.
- The gospel story depicts Jesus initially limiting his mission to Israel but then praising the faith of a Gentile woman from Tyre and Sidon, healing her daughter.
This is a collection of some of the best writings on the issue of prayer to the Holy Spirit. He is God and so it is valid to offer prayer to the third Person of the Godhead. Catholics have far more prayers to the Spirit, but Protestants are getting into the experience of worship of the Holy Spirit. Prayers to Him acknowledge that you accept Him as God and as an equal member of the Trinity.

… Keep in mind for that man, the antichrist, will come before you and will say: “I am the antichrist and this world is going with me.” Know, Christian, even if you are no longer living, you will see him, for no one will have the end before your resurrection, so that the dead and the living may see the antichrist.
This document contains a summary of a sermon given by Mrs. E.G. White calling for ministers and church members to seek a deeper experience with God through faith in Christ. It encourages earnest prayer and repentance so that ministers may receive the Holy Spirit and feed the flock with spiritual food rather than theories. All are called to open their hearts fully to Christ so the church may fulfill its mission as a light to the world.
The youth pastor gave a shocking message to the congregation that stunned many listeners. He warned that most American Christianity is based on culture rather than the Bible and that many who think they are Christians will end up in hell. He emphasized that true faith is shown through repentance from sin and holiness, not feelings of self-esteem. While some applauded, he said he was talking about the faults of the listeners themselves. He encouraged examining one's life against Scripture rather than comparing to other professed Christians. Due to the blunt message, the pastor was never invited back.

This document discusses the topic of hope from both a biblical and historical perspective. It begins by defining hope and providing examples of how hope helped people survive difficult circumstances throughout history. It then examines what the Bible says about hope, including that our hope is in God, not in ourselves or earthly things. Several passages are cited to show that without God there is no hope and that true hope requires patience. In conclusion, it encourages the reader to build their hope upon Jesus Christ and his faithfulness as revealed in scripture.
In part one we look at the foundation teaching of Jesus connecting the harvest and end times. We want to connect how we live today so that we are living rightly at the end of time.
God calls Moses to deliver the Israelites from Egyptian bondage. Moses questions his ability, but God reassures him and promises to be with him. God tells Moses about the oppression of the Israelites and His plan to free them and bring them to the promised land of Canaan, a land flowing with milk and honey. Moses is to gather the elders of Israel and request that Pharaoh release them to worship God for three days in the wilderness. God will harden Pharaoh's heart but ultimately cause him to let the people go after displaying miracles.

Why did the early church pray? Who taught them to pray?
Can we look into the Sermon on the Mount and discover insights about prayer? Three little words, "ask, seek and knock" reward us with prayer insights.
In our quest to imitate Jesus Christ, we seek to abide. Our seeking the Lord is to abide in Him and enjoy the blessings of that abode. The life of a seeking is hard, yet rewarding
After Easter the disciples were looking for Jesus. We too are looking to find Him. This "finding" results in a personal experience with God, receiving personal direction and being called to impact the world.
Hope is described as progressive, supernatural, turning away from nothing, youthful, allowing for a magnanimous life, and being expressed through prayer. It involves moving toward God and relying on divine grace, as God leads us and transforms us. True hope is found in Christ and comes through faith, providing strength during difficulties and assurance of God's plans and future blessings.
If God Made A Plan For Transformation Rodney Drury
God gives a number of "to do" list in Scripture that are given for our Spiritual growth. Through the work of the Holy Spirit and our effort, we but into action what God asks. Walking with God requires our whole heart, our being.
19 Hebrew words from Isaiah 1:16-17 are over-viewed with a loose literal translation and meditation points to help believers grow as followers.
A look into a few of the teachings contained on the Sermon on the Mount. The main focus is on "Ask, seek, knock." Cartoons from Rev. Fun are thrown in.
Bully - Christianity and the Culture of BullyingRodney Drury
The document discusses bullying from a Christian perspective. It defines bullying as negative verbal or physical behavior done with the intention of upsetting or manipulating someone, which God would not approve of. It outlines four main types of bullying: verbal, physical, relational, and cyber. It then examines biblical stories involving Joseph, Moses, David, Jesus, and a group of women to draw lessons about overcoming bullying through humility, faith over fear, sacrificing for others, doing God's will, and resisting evil urges like jealousy. Finally, it provides advice such as living humbly, using spiritual gifts to empower others, and involving authorities to address bullying.
This document provides a community resource guidebook for the south side of Peoria, Illinois. It lists over 50 local organizations that provide various social services, including food and clothing assistance, healthcare services, housing assistance, education/tutoring programs, substance abuse treatment, and more. The guidebook aims to recommend evangelical or Christian organizations where possible but also includes other well-established providers.
This document is a poem praising God. It repeats the phrase "My soul doth magnify the Lord" and uses descriptive words and phrases to express how the soul seeks God, finds salvation only in Him, and desires to be with Him forever in heaven. God is referred to with terms expressing His power, wisdom, glory, and as the eternal friend who orders our lives with patience.
The document discusses intimacy with God through spiritual formation and transformation. It outlines God's plan for intimacy, including looking at history and the life of Jesus. Intimacy with God involves separation, love, betrayal, humility, and cleansing. It is a lifelong process of being forgiven, cleansed, and developing obedience, character and purity. The document uses the example of Jesus washing the disciples' feet to illustrate how intimacy involves allowing Jesus to cleanse our daily walk through spiritual washing.
Revelation Chapters 2 & 3. A study through the Revelation of Jesus Christyousendjunk
Chapters 2 &3 provide biblical insight to the 7 church to whom John writes. There are practical lessons we can learn from each of these churches today.
God desires to see several qualities in the church based on messages to 7 churches in Revelation:
1. A persevering church that endures hardship like Ephesus
2. An enduring church that faces persecution but remains faithful like Smyrna
3. A faithful church that holds to God's name despite false teachings like Pergamum
God does not want churches that are:
1. Sluggish and inactive like Sardis
2. Lukewarm in their faith like Laodicea
God reminds churches to not forsake their first love, avoid false teachings, hold firmly to faith, and remain open to rebuke to strengthen their spiritual lives.
CHRISTIAN SUPERNATURAL TEACHINGS, BIBLE CLASS LESSONS, GOSPELS BY LEADER OLUMBA OLUMBA OBU, THE SUPERNATURAL TEACHER AND SOLE SPIRITUAL HEAD, BROTHERHOOD OF THE CROSS AND STAR
This document summarizes the messages to the 7 churches in Revelation chapters 2-3. Each church is appreciated for things they did well but warned and advised to repent of shortcomings. The faithful are promised rewards including access to the tree of life, not being hurt by the second death, authority over nations, white garments, pillars in God's temple, and sitting on God's throne. In conclusion, it emphasizes the need for believers to focus on repentance, faith in Jesus, holy living, and doing good deeds for God.
Sound doctrine starts with what Jesus said. John wrote the words Jesus spoke to 7 established churches of his day. What did Jesus say to them? How do those words fit your church's doctrine?

The document discusses Paul's letter to the Galatians regarding those who were promoting circumcision. It provides several reasons Paul gives for rejecting circumcision: 1) Christ will be of no benefit if they receive circumcision. 2) They will be obligated to keep the entire law. 3) They will be severed from Christ and no longer have access to grace. The document also notes Paul's harsh statement that those troubling the Galatians about circumcision should go further and emasculate or castrate themselves.
Right of Justice and Judgement was not given to souls. It is the sole prerogative of God for which He created His Karmic Law.
His Karmic Law works on the principle of Upliftment of soul. If we are keen to realize our Father then we must stop judging others and also stop seeking justice for wrong done to us.
When we will forgive others, God will forgive our trespasses to His Law.

3) The introduction calls monks to wake from sleep and listen to God's voice calling them to come, listen, and run to Him while they still have time before death seizes them.

The document is a teaching from the leader of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star, Olumba Olumba Obu. It contains:
1) Acknowledgements and statements emphasizing that the Holy Spirit is the only teacher and all people are brethren.
2) Sections from the Bible used to support the claims that Jesus is the only master and teacher, and that all people are equal as brothers.
3) Further statements asserting that the Holy Spirit alone imparts the correct teachings, and that practicing God's instructions as provided by the Holy Spirit will solve all problems and lead to salvation.
The primal command of God - Be It! is the Creative Power, the Word of God which is at the back of all that exists.
Our entire activity derives power from that command which is the Word of God within all of us and the entire creation.
We have to hear that Word within us and for that we have to seek a fully realized and duly authorized living teacher of our time.
If you want to know God, our Real Father then simply register your demand at the forehead and keep on knocking.
Do not desire things of this world. Let God be your prime desire and rest assure that you will be guided to His fully realized and duly authorized teacher of our time.
With our present intellect we cannot decide about real spiritual guide but if we are earnest in our desire God will do it for us. Have faith.
Faith is acquired by hearing the word of godGeorge Morales
This document discusses how faith comes from hearing and believing the word of God. It provides several Bible passages that show faith was acquired by people listening to God's word, like Abraham and Moses. It argues that people cannot have faith or please God without first hearing and believing the Bible. It encourages listeners to stop believing in things like witchcraft and instead have faith only in what they hear from God's word. Overall it emphasizes that faith comes from listening to and obeying the teachings of God found in the Bible.
Week 14 - Lectures on Faith Overview.pptxGlenMartineau
The three lectures on faith provide a general overview of God and the principles of faith. Lecture one discusses what faith is and how it is the first principle of the gospel. It establishes that without faith it is impossible to please God or receive eternal life. The lecture also touches on how mankind comes to know God through the exercise of faith.
Wednedsay Night Series - "How People Change", Week 5CLADSM
The document discusses how people respond sinfully to life's blessings and difficulties. It examines passages from Ephesians and 2 Corinthians about not living like Gentiles and having future glory. People tend to respond in "thorny" ways like denial, avoidance, escape, magnification of struggles, hypersensitivity, returning evil for evil, and feeling bogged down. However, Christians should recognize these patterns humbly through God's grace and not become discouraged, as God provides what is needed for change.
This document discusses how to maintain spiritual zeal throughout the year. It notes that zeal can be applied personally, at home, in ministry, and at church. However, zeal is also threatened by "Zeal Zappers" like Satan, sin, and worldly influences. It explores four main ways zeal is attacked: through human fallenness, the persuasive and temporary nature of worldly desires, Satan's erosion of lukewarm faith over time, and his blocking of believers through ruts and walls. The document encourages expecting and resisting such opposition through exposing spiritual darkness, resisting the devil, and overcoming delusion by relying on God's victory.
This document contains excerpts from the Book of Revelation chapters 3 and 7-13, discussing Jesus' messages to the seven churches of Asia Minor, and his promise to return. It also contains reflective questions about learning from history, trusting Jesus fully, and dealing honestly with our spiritual condition. The overall theme is preparing for Christ's return by heeding his words to the churches and making ourselves ready through faithfulness.
The Epistle of Ignatius to Polycarp is an epistle attributed to Ignatius of Antioch, a second-century bishop of Antioch, and addressed to Polycarp, the bishop of Smyrna. It was written during Ignatius' transport from Antioch to his execution in Rome.
This document contains a collection of Bible passages and teachings from the Leader Olumba Olumba Obu of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star. It discusses the importance of abiding in truth and avoiding sin. Several passages warn of "false brethren" who claim to follow Christ but do not obey his teachings. The Leader emphasizes living according to the teachings of the Holy Spirit rather than identifying as a member of any church. He advises choosing partners who share one's way of life and character, and spreading the teachings about God that have been revealed to members.
1) EGW warns that there will be a shaking and sifting among God's people as the straight testimony is given to call people out of Laodicea.
2) This will lead some to repent and be purified, receiving the seal of God, while others will reject the testimony and join the ranks of the opposition.
3) For those who reject the straight testimony and do not receive the seal, they will face the general destruction described in Ezekiel 9, as the five men with slaughter weapons begin at God's sanctuary and slay the wicked.
The Word of God about the true Church.pdfBilly Dean
„… The true church of Jesus Christ is there where the brothers gather together to be one with My body, to be one for not passion and all to take Jesus Christ, for a holy and eternal prep-aration in the body;
The church is nothing else than the sons who serve God on the earth; God and not to them-selves; to each others in the Lord and not to themselves.”

Create a prayer that helps you focus and turn to the Lord as you go through the dark days of winter and seek to have your life touched by the light of the world.
This document discusses 10 hidden mysteries of prayer. It addresses topics such as feeling closest to God when feeling worst, showing up being a form of prayer, overexcitement not necessarily causing answered prayers, sin separating people from God's love, hating sin being a form of loving God, distractions not ruining prayer time, passion not being required for prayer, not needing to tell everyone about messages from God, praying scripture and spontaneously both being powerful, and obeying God being the best way to grow intimacy with Him.
This document contains a collection of "one another" passages from the Bible intended to guide how Christians should treat each other. It discusses that Jesus had different relationships with different disciples, and that God relates to people personally based on their unique gifts and relationship with Him. As such, Christians should love each other in personalized ways according to how God is loving each person, with the goal of transformation rather than superficial affection. The document analyzes the context and meaning behind many "one another" passages, emphasizing that they aim to have Christ present among His followers and require speaking truth in love, transparency, and good deeds, not just thoughts. Christians are called to specifically love and serve their close friends and family through these directives from God.

The document discusses various topics related to how God leads people and how prayer plays a role in that leading. It addresses questions about how God impacts one's soul, how to follow God's leading even when unwilling, the effects of emotions like envy and anger, and knowing one's identity and calling. The document emphasizes that prayer involves one's whole person and God uses it to guide, convict, and help one understand themselves.

This document provides a plan for a season of prayer focused on gladness. It includes reflections on a Psalm about the blessings of forgiveness. The plan consists of reading passages from the Psalm and contemplating questions to help connect with God and experience gladness. Additional exercises are suggested, such as listing the blessings of forgiveness or singing songs of praise to God. The goal is to spend time fellowshipping with God and rediscover joy through realizing what sin does and the blessings of forgiveness.

Word, The kingdom of God and The Word of GodRodney Drury
How do we hear the Lord? What do we need to do to hear? What does the parable of the Sower have to teach us about hearing God? What can I do to hear the Lord better?
How does God work things our in our lives? Why do we go through trials and temptations? Are we just victims of life or our own choices or does God have a plan and purpose?
What is it like to live with Jesus Christ today? What should we expect? How can our eyes be opened to make our life with God more meaningful and exciting?
This document discusses lessons that can be learned from baseball and applied to living according to God's kingdom. It begins with an outline of the day's topics, including talking to leaders, short stories with messages, and a Q&A session. Several passages from the Bible are then presented with questions for reflection on themes like dealing with prosperity and poverty, the desire to win at all costs, dealing with failure and fear, the importance of honesty over flattery, and confessing mistakes to grow closer to God. The document concludes by providing contact information for the speaker who serves as an author, speaker and retreat leader.
The document discusses the concept of covenants in biblical times and how God used the concept of a covenant to establish a relationship with His people. Covenants were commonly used in that era for treaties, pledges of friendship, business contracts, and constitutions. The document notes that two different words emerged for covenants - one emphasizing will/desires and one emphasizing partnership. It explores how the concept of covenant is understood today and what the PCFC covenant represents - a merger of will and promise to align with God's intentions and obligations.

The sermon discusses previous sermons in September that focused on intentionally seeking God, and different levels of desperation in seeking Him. It then analyzes 12 encounters between Jesus and Peter from the gospels to illustrate ways people can encounter God and lessons about following Him, such as accepting His calling even if it's difficult, trusting Him during tests of faith, and staying committed to Him despite doubts. The overall message encourages actively seeking God while also being open when He comes to us.

It seems that current missionary work requires spending a lot of money, preparing a lot of materials, and traveling to far away places, so that it feels like missionary work. But what was the result they brought back? It's just a lot of photos of activities, fun eating, drinking and some playing games. And then we have to do the same thing next year, never ending. The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go. The reason why these missionary work is so difficult is that no one obeys God’s words, and the Bible is not the main content during missionary work, because in the eyes of those who do not obey God’s words, the Bible is just words and cannot be connected with life, so Reading out God's words is boring because it doesn't have any life experience, so it cannot be connected with human life. I will give a few examples in the hope that this situation can be changed. A375

2. Factors in Hearing God
We live in a culture that seeks to influence our
thoughts about God
Busyness and the cares of life try and choke
out what God is saying and doing
Our view of God, how we understand Him and
judge Him effects what we hear
Our personal experience is our personal reality
and often greatly effects our perception
What we have been taught effects what we
know
3. Factors in Renewal
Revival – reaches to us and washes, restores and
revives us. The perspective of God is gained and
valued.
Scripture – speaks to us with wisdom, history and
the work of the Holy Spirit, calling us to “see”
rightly.
Conflict and confrontation can be used of God to
purge or heart and purify our motives.
Encountering God with humility can allow God to
create in us a clean heart and renew a right spirit
within us.
4. God speaks to His church
Letters to the Seven Churches
Ephesus 2:1-7
Smyrna 2:8-11
Pergamum 2:12-17
Thyatira 2:18-29
Sardis 3:1-6
Philadelphia 3:7-13
Laodicea 3:14-22
5. Ephesus 2:1-7
'I know your deeds and your toil and perseverance, and that you cannot
tolerate evil men, and you put to the test those who call themselves
apostles, and they are not, and you found them to be false
You have perseverance and have endured for My name's sake, and
have not grown weary.
But I have this against you, that you have left your first love
Therefore remember from where you have fallen, and repent and do the
deeds you did at first; or else I am coming to you and will remove your
lampstand out of its place--unless you repent
Yet this you do have, that you hate the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I
also hate. 'He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the
churches. To him who overcomes, I will grant to eat of the tree of life
which is in the Paradise of God.'
6. Smyrna 2:8-11
I know your tribulation and your poverty (but you
are rich), and the blasphemy by those who say
they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of
Satan.
Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold,
the devil is about to cast some of you into prison,
so that you will be tested, and you will have
tribulation for ten days.
Be faithful until death, and I will give you the
crown of life. 'He who has an ear, let him hear
what the Spirit says to the churches. He who
overcomes will not be hurt by the second death.'
7. Pergamum 2:12-17
I know where you dwell, where Satan's throne is; and you
hold fast My name, and did not deny My faith even in the
days of Antipas, My witness, My faithful one, who was killed
among you, where Satan dwells.
But I have a few things against you, because you have there
some who hold the teaching of Balaam, who kept teaching
Balak to put a stumbling block before the sons of Israel, to
eat things sacrificed to idols and to commit acts of immorality.
So you also have some who in the same way hold the
teaching of the Nicolaitans. 'Therefore repent; or else I am
coming to you quickly, and I will make war against them with
the sword of My mouth.
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the
churches. To him who overcomes, to him I will give some of
the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone, and a
new name written on the stone which no one knows but he
who receives it.'
8. Thyatira 2:18-29
I know your deeds, and your love and faith and service and perseverance,
and that your deeds of late are greater than at first.
But I have this against you, that you tolerate the woman Jezebel, who calls
herself a prophetess, and she teaches and leads My bond-servants astray
so that they commit acts of immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols. 'I
gave her time to repent, and she does not want to repent of her immorality.
'Behold, I will throw her on a bed of sickness, and those who commit
adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of her deeds.
And I will kill her children with pestilence, and all the churches will know
that I am He who searches the minds and hearts; and I will give to each
one of you according to your deeds. ‘
But I say to you, the rest who are in Thyatira, who do not hold this teaching,
who have not known the deep things of Satan, as they call them--I place no
other burden on you
Nevertheless what you have, hold fast until I come. 'He who overcomes,
and he who keeps My deeds until the end, TO HIM I WILL GIVE
AUTHORITY OVER THE NATIONS; AND HE SHALL RULE THEM WITH A
ROD OF IRON, AS THE VESSELS OF THE POTTER ARE BROKEN TO
PIECES, as I also have received authority from My Father; and I will give
him the morning star. 'He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says
to the churches.'
9. Sardis 3:1-6
I know your deeds, that you have a name that you are alive,
but you are dead. 'Wake up, and strengthen the things that
remain, which were about to die; for I have not found your
deeds completed in the sight of My God.
So remember what you have received and heard; and keep
it, and repent. Therefore if you do not wake up, I will come
like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come to
you
But you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their
garments; and they will walk with Me in white, for they are
worthy. 'He who overcomes will thus be clothed in white
garments; and I will not erase his name from the book of life,
and I will confess his name before My Father and before His
angels. 'He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says
to the churches.'
10. Philadelphia 3:7-13
I know your deeds. Behold, I have put before you an open door
which no one can shut, because you have a little power, and have
kept My word, and have not denied My name.
Behold, I will cause those of the synagogue of Satan, who say that
they are Jews and are not, but lie--I will make them come and bow
down at your feet, and make them know that I have loved you.
Because you have kept the word of My perseverance, I also will
keep you from the hour of testing, that hour which is about to come
upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.
I am coming quickly; hold fast what you have, so that no one will
take your crown. 'He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the
temple of My God, and he will not go out from it anymore; and I will
write on him the name of My God, and the name of the city of My
God, the new Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My
God, and My new name. 'He who has an ear, let him hear what the
Spirit says to the churches.'
11. Laodicea 3:14-22
I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I wish that you
were cold or hot. 'So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot
nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth.
Because you say, "I am rich, and have become wealthy, and have
need of nothing," and you do not know that you are wretched and
miserable and poor and blind and naked, I advise you to buy from
Me gold refined by fire so that you may become rich, and white
garments so that you may clothe yourself, and that the shame of
your nakedness will not be revealed; and eye salve to anoint your
eyes so that you may see.
Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore be zealous
and repent.
Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and
opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he
with Me. 'He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me
on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on
His throne. 'He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to
the churches.'"

16. Ephesians 4:11-16
And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets,
and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and
teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of
service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we
all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of
the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the
stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ. As a
result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and
there by waves and carried about by every wind of
doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful
scheming; but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow
up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ,
from whom the whole body, being fitted and held
together by what every joint supplies, according to the
proper working of each individual part, causes the growth
of the body for the building up of itself in love.
