Prerequisites for order management
 You are a registered seller on Flipkart Marketplace
 You have received a Flipkart order
Order and order item
• An order may include one product or more. Each
product in an order is called order item
• Every order item is packed and billed separately
for shipping
• Whenever we use the term order, we mean order
item, unless specified otherwise
• Your ‘Orders’ dashboard shows orders at
the order-item level

Click 'Orders' on your seller portal to
view 'Active' and 'Closed' orders

'Active' orders are those on which sellers and buyers can act

Closed orders
If you click the 'Closed' tab under 'Orders', you will
find your 'Completed' and 'Cancelled' orders.
As the name suggests, no action can be taken
on 'Closed' orders.
NEW ORDERS
Types of 'New' orders
A 'New' order will either be marked 'Approved'
or 'On hold‘
CONFIRMING NEW ORDERS
Please adhere to the time frame given below:
1.Confirm the order within 24 hours ( exclusive of
holidays that you have selected on ‘seller holiday
calendar’)
2.Example: If an order is approved at 10:00 am on
Monday, confirm it by 10:00 am, Tuesday.

Use ‘Sort’ filter to view orders ‘By confirmation date’ or ‘Latest order
first’. Use ‘Filter’ to view only ‘Approved’ orders or only ‘On hold’ orders

READY TO SHIP
Ready to Ship
• Ready to ship indicates that you are ready to
handover the item to Flipkart’s logistic partner
• There are two modes – one with and other without
the invoicing solution
• With invoicing solution – prints invoice and shipping
label
• Without invoicing solution – prints shipping label only
• You can choose to opt in for Flipkart’s invoicing
solution from “Manage Profile” –> Invoice setting
'Ready-to-ship‘ checklist
In case you are opting for Flipkart’s invoicing solution
1. Before you mark an order ‘Ready to ship’, ensure that you
have arranged the item for packing.
2. While doing Ready to Ship (RTS)-
• VAT for all quantities to be entered manually
• Item price, Shipping fee will be self populated
• IMEI for mobile phones and tablets/Sl. No for other products to be entered
manually
3. Post RTS, print the invoice, shipping label and logistics
forms (if applicable)
4. Pack the item with the invoice inside and paste the
shipping label outside
'Ready-to-ship‘ checklist
In case you are opting OUT of Flipkart’s invoicing solution
Before you mark an order ‘Ready to ship’, ensure the following:
1.You have printed the invoice with the details listed below:
• Item price, including shipping fees and VAT
• Octroi, if applicable
• EMI, if applicable. Add EMI to only one invoice if the order consists
of more than one order item
• IMEI for mobile phones and tablets/Sl. No for other products
• 'Powered by Flipkart' preferably mentioned
2. You have packed the order with an invoice copy inside
3. You have downloaded, printed, and filled out logistics forms,
if applicable

1. If your procurement SLA is 2 days, then you have
to mark the order 'Ready to ship' by midnight of the
third day.
For e.g., if an order is placed on Monday, you have to mark it
'Ready to ship' by Wednesday midnight.
2. If a Sunday falls within the SLA period, add
another day.
3. If there is a national holiday, you get extra day to
confirm/RTS the order
'Ready-to-ship' SLA
1. You will receive a pickup list of all shipments that will be picked up on a
particular day via a notification email. Keep the shipments ready in the
mentioned order for quick identification and pickup by our logistics partner.
2. Please hand over your shipment to our logistics partner on time to avoid
upsetting the delivery cycle.
3. Ensure your order has been packaged correctly. Please refer to our
packaging guidelines under 'Help' on your seller portal. Our logistics
partner reserves the right to refuse pickup in case of faulty packaging.
4. If our logistics partner fails to turn up or you want to reschedule a
pickup, please inform Seller support.
5. Pick up will happen within 1 business day
Pickup guidelines
Mark orders ‘Ready to ship’
• Mark your orders ‘Ready to ship’ in two ways:
1.Using ‘Ready to ship’ tab:
Check the boxes against confirmed orders and click ‘Ready
to ship’ tab
2. Using ‘Bulk ready-to-ship’ button:
Download list of confirmed orders, fill out relevant fields,
and upload file
• Mark an order 'Ready to ship' on or before 'Last date to
ship' to avoid cancellation.

•Print the pdf document on an A4 sheet to get shipping label
•Stick the label on your packed shipment according to
product name/Order Item ID
•The shipping label will not reflect the information entered in ‘Shipment
record’
•Fold the label inwards along the dotted line to ensure product name is
hidden before sticking it on the packed order
•You can print the Invoice along with the shipping label by opting ‘
Auto Invoicing’ Solution
2. Using ‘Bulk ready-to-ship’ option
Use ‘Bulk ready-to-ship’ button (outlined in red) to upload the list
of confirmed orders after filling out mandatory fields
Steps involved in bulk update
• Go to ‘Confirmed’ tab.
• Get list of confirmed orders using ‘Download’ button.
• Fill out Invoice No./Invoice Date/Invoice Amount/Tax fields in the
downloaded file.
• Do not modify any other column/row/data.
• Submit the updated file using ‘Bulk ready-to-ship’ button.
• ‘Confirmed’ tab will remain disabled during processing.
• If processing is successful, a hover message will allow you to download
labels in PDF.
• For orders that fail processing, you must download the file with errors.
• All successfully processed orders will be available under ‘Shipped’ tab and
those with errors under ‘Confirmed’ tab.

Get list of confirmed orders using ‘Download’ button (outlined in red)
Rule out errors in bulk update
1. Mandatorily fill out Invoice No, Invoice Date, Invoice Amount, and
VAT fields.
2. Your Invoice No. must consist of at least one numerical value and
not exceed 30 characters.
3. Invoice Date must not be older than ‘Ordered On’ date.
4. VAT cannot be more than Invoice Amount.
5. Do not modify any other columns or enter wrong data.
6. Do not change file format.
Update list
Fill out Invoice No./Invoice Date/Invoice Amount/Tax fields
in the downloaded file
Upload updated list
Submit the updated file using ‘Bulk ready-to-ship’ button (outlined in red)
Download labels & errors
Download label PDF and error file from the hover message (outlined in red). In
case you log out before completing the process, you can download labels using
‘Reprint’ under ‘Shipped tab’. Your orders which could not be processed will once
again be available under ‘Confirmed’ tab
Rectify errors
• Download the file of errors to know which orders could
not be processed and why.
• Go back to ‘Confirmed’ tab and download the list of
confirmed orders.
• Update the list, taking care not to repeat the errors.
• Re-upload the file.

Cancellation consequences
• You bear the cancellation charges
• Your product is considered ‘out of stock’.
• You are not allowed to sell the product for 7 days.
• Your seller rating and performance on Flipkart Marketplace get
affected, cancellation percentage is considered as a key parameter
to rate your performance.
• Cancelling a confirmed order is likely to impact your performance
on Flipkart.com more severely.
• Cancellation consequences are not applicable
to institutional sales.
