The Pooled Finance Development Fund (PFDF) aims to enhance credit access for urban local bodies in India, enabling them to finance projects through state-level pooled finance mechanisms. It establishes State Pooled Finance Entities (SPFEs) to facilitate capital market access and reduce borrowing costs while supporting the development of bankable urban infrastructure projects. Case studies from Karnataka and Rustenburg highlight successful implementations of pooled finance strategies for urban development, demonstrating effective revenue generation and project management.
