The lessons include tuning in activities, anchor tasks, guided practice, and independent practice assessments.
Today's lesson introduces students to proverbs by having them identify images, check vocabulary words, and combine adjectives with nouns to form proverbs. Students are asked to read sample proverbs using the words "lazy", "beautiful", and "little" along with nouns like "flower" and verbs like "grow" to convey simple messages. The document provides instructions for a lesson on identifying images, choosing words, and creating short proverbs.
The students are instructed to clear their desks except for a writing utensil. They will hear announcements about counseling services and should turn to page 14 in their spiral notebook. The document provides definitions and instructions for activities about adaptation, environment, and climate. Students are asked to rate their understanding of these three terms on a scale of 1 to 5.
This document discusses key mathematical concepts that can be taught through play-centered learning in early childhood education. This document provides suggestions for teachers to create opportunities for children to express themselves through talking. It recommends having children talk about themselves, objects around school, pictures, and stories. For pictures, children can discuss what they see and predict outcomes. Stories should allow children to relate to characters, imagine events, and recreate the story. Role playing story characters develops communication skills. Teachers should let children speak fully, show interest, and respond by elaborating on what was said and asking for more details.

Following the main teacher´s tips, in this lesson I included an activity in which students were encouraged to stick some magazine pictures on wallpaper in order to make a poster. Students really enjoyed it and it gave me enough time to go round the room and elicit new chunks from students in isolation. It was a pity that the lesson was only 30 minutes, it would be better if students had had the possiblity of finding the pictures themselves in different magazines.

Overview:
The English alphabet has 26 letters, yet we use more than 26 sounds in our speech. In fact, American-English speakers use 59 sounds, and there are often many ways
to spell the same sound – sometimes dozens of ways. This is very confusing for beginning readers because letters only show how a word is spelled, not how it is spoken. We have identified all 400+ sound-spellings in
American English and organized them into 59 distinctly colored groups. With color, students can see how a word is spoken, and more quickly become aware of the nature
of the written language.
This activity teaches children colors using a colors spinner and laminated cards with colored circles. The child spins the spinner and finds the matching colored circle. It helps children develop color recognition and matching skills. The document provides details on the learning objectives, materials needed, procedure, assessments, and tips for teaching the activity to 3-5 year olds.
This document provides guidance for teaching a lesson about making new friends. It includes an introduction to the topic, essential questions, vocabulary words, and a short reading passage called "Try This!" The tasks are meant to illustrate ways to get students to visualize math concepts.

Assessment and Planning in Educational technology.pptxKavitha Krishnan
In an education system, it is understood that assessment is only for the students, but on the other hand, the Assessment of teachers is also an important aspect of the education system that ensures teachers are providing high-quality instruction to students. The assessment process can be used to provide feedback and support for professional development, to inform decisions about teacher retention or promotion, or to evaluate teacher effectiveness for accountability purposes.

The simplified electron and muon model, Oscillating Spacetime: The Foundation...RitikBhardwaj56
Discover the Simplified Electron and Muon Model: A New Wave-Based Approach to Understanding Particles delves into a groundbreaking theory that presents electrons and muons as rotating soliton waves within oscillating spacetime. Geared towards students, researchers, and science buffs, this book breaks down complex ideas into simple explanations. It covers topics such as electron waves, temporal dynamics, and the implications of this model on particle physics. With clear illustrations and easy-to-follow explanations, readers will gain a new outlook on the universe's fundamental nature.
A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
Strategies for Effective Upskilling is a presentation by Chinwendu Peace in a Your Skill Boost Masterclass organisation by the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan on 08th and 09th June 2024 from 1 PM to 3 PM on each day.

4. Planning a Kindergarten Mathematics Lesson
Using Earlybird Kindergarten Mathematics
• Unit 1 Match & Sort
• Lesson 1.1 | The lesson goal is for children to match objects and
pictures of objects because they are the same in essentially all
properties or they are alike in one way – color, size, type.
• Theme | Sea Creatures
– I can either link it to an experience they recently had (e.g. a trip to the
local aquarium) or a book they have read (e.g. The Snail and The Whale;
not The Old Man and The Sea. That was a joke, so I hope you did not take
me seriously.) or a cartoon they have watched (e.g. The Little Mermaid) or,
for the little budding artists, a famous painting you made them appreciate
(e.g. an eighteenth century painting at The Getty).
– Or I can just make up a story to go with the illustration in the Earlybird
textbook.
8. Anchor Task
Match things at the Sea Creatures Party.
They are not the same.
They are not exactly the same.
They are exactly the same.
Why did you say so?
Are they the same?
9. Sea creatures, big and small.
They had a treasure hunt at the neighborhood mall.
Tuning In
10. Anchor Task
Match things that one can typically find at a mall.
Or ask them to do a Treasure Hunt in the class to look for things that ‘match’.
Whatever the case, the anchor task is a concrete experience
where children pick up two objects and say if they are the same or they are the
same or they are not exactly the same or they are not the same and then give
a reason for whatever they said.

Let’s see what our sea creature friends are
up to!

11. Guided Practice
Are they exactly the same?
They are exactly the same.
They are the same animal but …
13. Independent Practice
I can also use other lessons for children to consolidate the key ideas of the lesson.
For example, I can ask pair of children to ‘build’ their Twin Cities. There are so many
other ways a teacher can use to provide practice based on their interests, ability
and also the theme of that week..
I drew a yellow
building.
I drew a yellow
building, too.
But they are
not exactly the
