■ Think about your five sense.
We are going to use these to
descibe a setting.You can
choose your garden or maybe
somewhere you have visited
during your walk.
■ Can you create a mind map,
using the 5 senses and write
some adjectives to describe
each of the senses.
■ We have given you some
examples you could even use
this setting if you want!
English day 2
Buzzing bees
Sweet flowers
Crisp, fresh air
Bright green grass
Blazing hot sun
In the garden I can see..
■ Using your mind map from yesterday can you
complete these sentences.
■ REMEMBER to include adjectives to describe your
setting, you could even include a power of three. (In

■ Your challenge today is to try and add a
conjunction or a verb to each of your sentence.
(In the garden, I can see beautiful, bright and
colourful flowers, swaying in the dazzling sun.
OR In the garden, I can see beautiful, bright
and colourful flowers that would brighten up
even the greyest of days.)
English day 4

■ You should now have five fabulous sense sentences to
describe your setting. Can you now present these in
your neatest handwriting, or you might even try
typing and add some gorgeous illustrations.
■ Don't forget Mrs Keyse loves a border for that final
wow!
■ Your bonus challenge – can you perform your
poem? You can sing, act, read or perform in any other
creative way you would like to. After a few times
practising, try and perform your poem in front of
somebody else in your household. It would be great if
you could be videoed performing your poems so we
can see them too.
