Planning
- 1. Location I will be filming in many places across York but I am also going to try find new places because at the moment there is a lot of rain which doesn’t help considering you skate outside. Places like Rowntrees skate park and Zoo skate park and some random street spots will be the go to places for recording. Car parks will be another main area of recording because the rain is not allowing us to skate outside. Zoo skate park Car park Rowntree park
- 2. Experiments So for my editing choice for the video, I am going to need to learn how to remove certain backgrounds so that I can replace them with a different image/video to make it look more different. I have been looking at videos that show me how to do certain things but they have all not been useful. So I started trying my own experiments to see if I can get onto something which went well until I used the wrong key and got stuck. So using the ultra key worked the best because it completely removed the certain colour I needed to get rid of and then I could put my video in for the background. I will be doing different experiments to see if I can do multiple colours at once to remove the background or if I am only able to remove one colour from each scene.
- 3. Experiments So for my next experiment I decided to make the multi coloured ramp into the new video. I new this would be harder because if you use green screen/blue screen then you have one set colour to work with and it makes it easier to get rid of. But I have found that if you add multiple ultra keys onto the clip then you can tag each different colour of the ramp so that you can get rid of all parts of it so that the clip has a better look and is still smooth. But because the ramp is a sandy colour, the skater has also lost his skin and has created a space person as well. This could be a bad thing but if you wanted to make something dark and the person and background could light up the scene as it has done here.
- 4. Method I first put the ultra key onto the clip I then use the colour picker to click on the area I want to remove and then use more ultra keys if I need to
- 5. Resources For this project I am not going to need many resources because it is mainly going to be made with a computer and I am not needing any props. I am going to use my phone to record because I don’t trust myself with the camera because I am getting close to people who are skating and they can easily mess up the trick and have the board fly out behind them or to the side hitting me or the phone. So having a expensive camera wouldn’t be an ideal object to have because it can easily be damaged. My main resource will be people and skaters because they are who I am going to be focusing on. • IPhone (recording) • Skaters (actors) • Computer (editing and management)
