2. Pitch Feedback...
We presented our pitch to a number of students to show our idea
overall in order for us to make a music video. We wanted to find out
what they think of our idea and whether they think it is a good idea
or not. We choose college students to review our pitch as they are
part of our targeted audience for our potential music video. It is
overall important for us to do this because it will show us if we are
relating to the targeted audience and if our idea will sound realistic.
These are the questions which we had asked the college students

3. Does the concept work for you and
why?
Yes definitely, works well, links to Indie.
The concept sounds good, would be interested to see the end result.
Yes, and its a unique idea.
The concept works really well, the road trip idea is really good and well
through out.
Yes, I think its a great idea and its do-able.
The concept works well as it goes with the genre and song.
I think it is a good concept because it fits well with the feel of the song.
Yes, because the beach is something every teenager can relate to.
No, because the concept doesn't sound very interesting.
4. Does our target audience match our
music video concept and how?
The target audience does match the music video concept because it looks
like you have a lot of detailed explanation about basic information, likes and
fashions.
Yes, because that target audience would probably take road trips and go to
the beach with friends.
Yes as they are the typical indie audience.
I think it does sound like something I would watch.
Yes I think the age and occupation ect are correct.
I fits well as the target audience are relaxed and like to have a good time,
like going to the beach.
The target audience matches well because its the type of thing tha they
listen to.
5. Do you feel our idea is achievable and why?
I'm not sure how you will get it filmed, it will have to be out of lesson time.
The idea might be difficult to achieve due to the location being far away/
Definitely because its cheap.
Yes, as long as you have a car and know where you are going.
It’s achievable as its quite straight forward however, there maybe issues with
the weather at the location.
Yes and no – it is achievable but the only thing that isn't achievable is
obviously the weather being nice for filming and getting the car to drive.
I'm not sure about the location.
Yes, it will be easy to find a shopping centre and a beach somewhere.
6. Is the genre clear within the pitch and
how?
No, the lyrics are hard to understand.
The genre is indie and its quite clear because you followed a lot of
conventions.

Yes as the pitch was very detailed.
Pitch has detailed and well explained.
Yes, because it shines through.
Yes, because of the mood board.
The genre is clear as its similar to other music videos.
7. Do you think the concept will be achievable
within the deadline?
As long as you find time when you are all free to film it then it should be
fine, you will also have to consider the weather.
If you organise it right you should, but would have to think about when is
the best time going to the beach and make time if you need to go again.
Yeah go travelling in half term.
Should be, plan your time, get it done sooner rather than later. If the
weather is bad you can always fit it in the video.
Yes, as you are clear with the idea and are sure of what you’re doing.
Not sure – you'll just need to find a time to go and make sure you get all
filming done on the day.

8. Group comments...
Overall, we were happy with the feedback which we had gained from this
particular audience. We as a group have learnt through this that the only
thing which the audience may be reserved about is the potential location
which we have chosen. As the beach is quite far away from our based
location, it may be hard to film all in one day because of the weather issues
and time restrictions. As a group we shall have to plan further to see
possible back up locations, or to go into more depth of which beach and
whether it would be realistic in terms of money and time to go any further to
planned location. This is only a slight change which we may make within
our music video, as we feel confident with this feedback that we are relating
to our overall target audience.
