PITCH: PART 1
By Karishma Thakeria
PROPS & OBJECTS
 As my film is going to be animated and has only one
main character (which is the white/grey mouse), the
props are going to be used by this character, these
include: a paper airplane and a trampoline in which the
mouse will use to try and reach the Moon. I want to
depict the mouse as being quite adventurous and
imaginative, despite being a petite character. By the
mouse having these characteristics will also help to
reflect on the genre of my film: adventure. Another
object that can be considered to be a prop will be the
piece of cheese left outside the counter in the
neighbour's kitchen (during the film). The mouse will
climb up onto the cheese and start to eat it. This will also
help to reflect on the storyline and the title of the film:
‘What if the Moon was made out of cheese?’
LIGHTING
 All the action that is taking place within my animated film
will take place at night, this is to create a fantasy, fairy-tale-
like atmosphere which will help to engage with my
target audience. Also, this is partly to do with the title of
the film depicting the mouse believing that the Moon is
made out of cheese. All of the internal lighting (such as
in the kitchen/home) will be quite dark whereas the
external lighting will be a bit more vibrant but will also
have dark lighting to create verisimilitude. I don’t want
the lighting and colour scheme to be too dark as this will
make the film look like it is part of another genre and I
want to keep the content suitable and appropriate for my
target audience.
BACKGROUND/FOREGROUND
 Within the foreground, the protagonist will be
visible. A variety of shots will be sued to portray the
character and the surrounding area in which he is
placed. The background will contain the
surrounding area which will be quite dark with some
vibrant colours. This will help to keep focus on the
character and add more attention towards him.
