 We chose the song
    ‘Summertime’ by My Chemical
Romance as it was one of their
few songs without a music video.
 The song has a lot of potential to
    have an interesting video
    because the band has a
    particular style and the genre
    has recognizable traits.
 We have a clear idea of the
    concept of our video and
DigiPak as we are familiar with
the band’s style and have the
    background knowledge and
    research to integrate into our
    video.
 Our CD/DVD will be named
    ‘Dead Pegasus’.
 Our concept for the CD/DVD
    cover art and content. centres
    around the idea of bullying,
    because this fits with our
    research of the genre.
 The plot involves a girl standing
up for a boy who is bullied.
 We chose this as My Chemical
    Romance often use references
    to social issues such as
    bullying, violence and politics
in their music videos and album
    concepts.
 Our target audience are girls
  aged 16.
 We have found in our research
  that teenage girls listen to
them the most so we plan on
  tailoring our music video to
  their interests.
 We plan on making our
  promotional package more
  accessible to other ages and
  genders but primarily teenage
  girls.
 We plan to appeal to this
audience by using a girl as the
  hero in our narrative because
  the audience will want to
  identify with the main
  character.
