3. The cover
• The cover is of a cross with
red flowers on it. The cross is
a grave, this brings in the
element of death that is
always present in their
music. Red is the colour of
blood which is also
important idea of death.
They you get the light from
the candles around the cross,
this could show that there is
still hope around bringing
light in to a dull situation.
The picture used for this was
taken in Mexico when they
where touring there.
4. The back
• The back of the album is a
list of the songs but it is
written as though it
where a new paper adds,
important words such as
‘Dead’!, ‘Cancer’ and
‘Blood’ are pulled out in
more prominent fonts,
this draws your eyes to
these details once more
they all have show
suffering and death
creating a sense of wheat
will be in the album.
5. The CD and DVD
• Inside the case there is the Live CD and the DVD
of the live show. One of them is a cartoon face of
a skeleton dome in black and white and the other
has two skeleton a man and a woman in the
Greek style with the ‘The Black Parade’ symbol at
the top of this connecting it back to the album.
6. The inner covers
• The inner cover of the album case is of the
audience from the live concert in black and
white. This shows how popular they are now
but also connects it to the live performance.
