Political Dynamics Of Japan And Japan
Topic #11: Political Dynamics of Japan
The party politics of Japan, which is characterized by the dominance of the LDP close to One and a
half Party System, has two peculiar aspects. First, none of the parties, including the LDP, is truly mass
political movements. Even the LDP, Japan s largest party, has a membership of one million, slightly
more than 1% of the population. Second, all major parties, due to their factional intra party politics,
are unstable and internally disunited. Japan s 1.5 Party System began with the merger between two
conservative parties, the Liberal Party and Democratic Party and continued until 1993.

Also, there are extreme left and right wingers who fail to gain a broad support.
The bond between zaikai and the LDP politicians has remained strong throughout 60 years of the party
history. All of main economic federations such as Keidanren and Nikkeiren that represent zaikai
interests regularly present their position papers to LDP PMs and MPs, who reflect zaikai interests in
their policy decisions. Also, zaikai leaders directly influence government policies through their
participation in deliberation councils, half public, half private organizations set up by ministries. In
addition, zaikai leaders form personal connections to LDP politicians through having them as their
consultants with high payrolls or giving financial supports through koenkai, or association of
supporters.
A number of factors contributed to the downfall of LDP dominance from 1993 to 1996. The first
factor is the side effects from PM Takeo Miki s intra party reform in 1977. In order to clean up
factions within the party, make the party less dependent on zakai and make party leadership more
democratic, Miki introduced primary system. The first primary election held in 1978 showed that
primary elections would not reduce the party s dependence on zaikai but actually increase it, since
candidates had to buy off voters and pay their registration fee instead. Also, primary elections led to
breakdown of party solidary and led to splintering of the LDP. Secondly, demographic shifts also

Chinese Pottery Essay
Chinese pottery
The earliest Chinese pottery of which we have any records is the Neolithic ware from the river plains
and loess highlands of north and north west China. It was made between 5000 and 2000 B.C. and
contains bowls, jars, pots and beakers of low fires earthenware. This pots were not turned on a wheel
but were buildt up by what is known as the Coil Method. That is, a long sausage of clay was wound
carefully up into a coil shape and this coil was smoothed and patted by hand into the shape of a pot.
During the T ang Dynasty China became the greatest and most widespread empire in the world . T ang

During this time the dynasty was blessed with three rulers of supreme ability: Li Shih Min, known as
the Emperor T ang Tai Tsung, the real founder of the dynasty, who is often spoken of as the greatest of
all Chinese emperors; the Empress Wu fought her way to the throne with bloodthirsty ruthlessness and
yet brought twenty years of peace and prosperity to the empire; and the lastly T ang Ming Huang who
brought the empire to the peak of its prosperity and cultural splendour, and then, alas, in the
foolishness of his old age saw the whole splendid fabric torn to shades.
During these hundred and thirty years not only did agriculture prosper, especially in the rice growing
lands of central and southern China, but arts and handicrafts were flourishing. Szechnan Province
produced gold and silverwares and fine brocades, while porcelain of the highest quality was made in
several centres.

During the t ang Dynasty the Chinese were brought into close contact with the civilizations of India.
The Middle East and central Asia, and their art forms were influenced and greatly enriched by these

which made use of delicately incised designs of flowers, animals and curving lines. This silver piece is

The Renaissance in Art Essay
Renaissance Art
When the new upper class movement, Renaissance, occurred in Italy around the 14th century, a
revival of the classical forms originally developed by the ancient Greeks and Romans, an intensified
concern with secular life, and interest in humanism and assertion of the importance of the individual
began. Thus, artists such as Mosaccio and Giotto depicted art that unlike the Middle Ages, showed
emotions, feelings, and bright colors, thus demonstrating the deep concern for naturalism in the
society. Other artists during the Italian Renaissance period such as Giovanni Bellini began to express
their art through secular and religious themes and ideas that were exhibited through landscapes and
portraits. As new styles of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
His most famous and recognized work, however, the Birth of Venus uses the combination of
mythology and religion, also a popular humanistic idea adopted from the Greeks.
With the continuous growth of paintings and artists, prestige for art increased dramatically to the point
in which religious aspects were shown through landscapes, portraits, and temperas. This then allowed
the creation of new styles and mathematical input that manifested everyday life with religious aspects.
One such artist was Giovanni Bellini who introduced bright, rich, strong colors into his palette and
landscapes that expressed the happiness, calmness, and prosperity that Italy carried throughout the
Renaissance. These characteristics and styles of paintings subsequently became a popular Venetian
cornerstone. Other important figures in the Italian Renaissance that demonstrated the movement?s
ideas through their ingenious paintings and architectural methods were Pier Della Francesca and Leon
Battista Alberti. Francesca, who was and expert in mathematics, developed the art form of perspective.
Alberti, on the other hand, as an architect developed the pediment which became popular throughout
the entire Renaissance. His monasteries and churches depicted many of the religious ideas, as evident
in one of his famous works, the Santa Maria Novella. All in all, the use of the common religious
themes such as the annunciation, adoration, Crucifixion, and the popular Madonna

Essay on Reproductive and Therapeutic Cloning
There are two types of cloning, one of them is reproductive cloning which is when a whole organism
is cloned and therapeutic cloning is the cloning of cells, organs or tissues. Cloning is when two cells
decide or are forced to duplicate into two cells to replicate each other. Cloning can be done
deliberately or naturally; and it results in two copies having identical cells, DNA, genes, organs and
organisms. Cloning is a common, ongoing, debatable topic among society today. Many people argue
about how future scientific advances in cloning will affect society. Most often people dislike the idea
of cloning because it goes against their ethical beliefs, or because they are in fear of it ending up in the
wrong hands. But sometimes when the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Those who do not have enough confidence in the matter might argue that someone could create super
soldiers for war, but with everything comes limitations and law. No matter how many laws are put into
place, there will always be people there to either abide by them or to break them. As long as the
limitations keep such horrible things from happening and there are officers and the government to aid,
then there is no issue.
Also, because there are many benefits to cloning and since not everyone believes in a god why should
religion be used in making decisions for people where religious morality is not even an issue? The
beliefs of some people should not deprive others of the benefits of cloning. There are those with
religious beliefs who think that taking antibiotics or receiving blood transfusions is wrong, but this
does not stop the rest of the world from receiving the benefits from them. Science is based on
experimentation and observation, while religion is based on faith and things that can not be proven.
Making a law based on a religious belief goes against our Constitution. A human clone is and should
be thought of as a regular human, they are entitled to have the same basic rights as everyone else.
Whether the government bans cloning or not, it is inevitably going to take place. The discovery has
been made and curious scientists are not just going to leave it alone. Decisions on

Riverview Medical Center ( Rrmc )
OVERVIEW
In 2004, Riverview Medical Center (RRMC), originally called The Holy Name of Jesus Hospital, was
acquired and revamped by the Hospital Management Associates (HMA) and has become a state of art
facility with improved efficiencies to ensure high quality care. RRMC is a 281 licensed bed acute care
facility accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, certified for
participation in the Medicare Program, and contracted/participated in Blue Cross Plans (Richards
Slovensky, 2004). The facility is one of the primary employers in the area and provides job
opportunities to approximately 700 individuals (Richards Slovensky, 2004). RRMC encountered
significant challenges against their competitors, Mountain View, Gadsden Regional and HealthSouth.
A major challenge was the fact that they were not the sole or primary healthcare provider in the
market service area. Secondly, many of RRMC s key medical staff members and group practices were
not in a central location within the vicinity of the hospital. Thirdly, RRMC s emergency department
was in great need of renovation and they lacked in the variety of clinical programs they offered in
terms of cancer treatment, neurosurgery, psychiatry, obstetrics, rehabilitation and surgical outpatient
care.

away if he was planning on using them latter. Valentine said the tools were also valued at over a

dollars. This means Valentine could have easily just sold the tools for a prophet then bought new

get rid of the tools. Also if he would have put them up for sale someone could have easily found out
who he was. Lastly Valentine giving the tools away symbolised the change of how he was going to
continue living his life. The tools symbolise Valentines old life of lying and stealing. When he finally

The Target Corporation Is A Retail Company
The Target Corporation is a retail company situated throughout the United States. The founder, George
Draper Dayton formed the Dayton Dry Goods Company in 1902. Back in 1962, Target launched their
first store in Roseville, Minnesota. Ultimately in the year 2000, Dayton Hudson store name was
changed to Target. They have become the second largest retailer by sales and revenue based on the
United States stores (Cite 1 Wikipedia). Similar to Walmart, Target has over a period of time received
some criticism with community groups and the workers. Target has prospered and sustained diversity
with employees of disparate age, style, race, and more. Lions, tigers and panthers are enjoyed in the
Markell household, but unable to actually own one. For that reason, a pack of dogs roams the house
for the protecting and guarding the precious family. When marketing brought in the official
commissioner, Bullseye, the mascot for Target, This dog was spotted in many marketing campaigns.
Another central reason to shop at Target is the simple layout of the store. The staff is snappier dressed
and present patience with handling people. Usually there are Starbucks inside this store, although they
are a bit on the pricy side. Another advantage is how Target believes in the community and touches
many people s lives. Children are our future and if you own a Target card, you could designate a
school to make contributions toward. This is known as the Take Charge of Education (Cite

Children and the Internet
The Internet has transformed the ways of communicating and learning ways of the prior years.
Electronic mail, also known as ?email,? has existed ever since the Internet was invented, to send
messages from one computer to another. One remarkable invention was the Project Gutenberg of 1971
which is about placing books and documents in a public domain that can be accessed electronically for
free. The Internet is a channel for interaction and collaboration of different individuals using the
computer or any advanced technology that is being used nowadays regardless of the geographical
location of an individual. According to research, the Internet was first used ... Show more content on

In school, the basic things haven?t changed a lot but due to advanced technology, there have been
many additional resources a student can use. Today, most of the students rely more on the Internet
than on books. However, books are more reliable than the other information found on the Internet.
With just one snap, the Internet gives students variety of information to be analyzed and to have a
better understanding of a certain topic. The way of learning today became more challenging and
appropriate for more advanced minds of the young generations. The Internet has contributed to the
growth of today?s society because it allows students to have new learning resources that are more
interesting and give students the opportunity to gain from others? knowledge and experiences.
Through its development, the Internet provides different benefits that will help the students and
children with their academic standings if it is used correctly at home and in school. According to the
U.S Department of Education, statistics shows that ninety three percent of the schools in the United
States have access to the Internet but the ratio of the students to computers was 5.3 to 1. Children who
are fortunate to have easy access to the Internet often take the opportunity to learn for granted. On the
other hand, children who are struggling to access the advanced technology tend to take all the

Global Positioning Systems Gps On Cell Phones
Global Positioning Systems GPS have undergone rapid developments in recent years. The GPS
technology allows the locations of users to be determined accurately and there are many advantages to
allow GPS tracking systems on cell phones such as finding friends, family members, maps and places
to visit. Furthermore, cell phone GPS have proven useful in saving lives during emergencies. In this
matter, it is important to mention that the United States of America Federal Communications
Commission have made a E 911 application and E112 in Europe which requires cell phone companies
to provide an accurate location of a cell phone user who calls for emergency help. However, the
location of the cell phone user must be released with consent of the cell phone owner. As well through
using location technologies, a service provider can track whereabouts of a user and discover their
personal habits. What we are typically aware off is that these pieces of sensitive information can be
sold to third parties without their consent or knowledge. It is often feared that government agencies
can monitor the behaviour of individuals, or trace the places they have visited. Therefore, protecting
location privacy from being invaded is thus of utmost importance.
Law: The United States has the Telecommunications Act 1996 included location information as
Customer Proprietary Network Information , along with the time, and date. However, the current
regulation does not specify what kind of customer

Thank Bob Dylan With The Nobel Prize
December 20, 2016
Dear Nobel Prize committee,
The Nobel Prize for Literature is an outstanding prize that honors extraordinary people for their works
in literature. It honors people that have changed literature. On October 13, 2016 you awarded Bob
Dylan with the Nobel Prize in Literature. This marks him as the first musician ever to win this prize.
Many people agree with your decision, while others are not delighted with this fact. I agree with the
committee to honoring Bob Dylan with the Nobel Prize in literature for having created new poetic
expressions within the great American song tradition.
Bob Dylan was born as Robert Allen Zimmerman on May 24, 1941 in Duluth, Minnesota. While
growing up, Bob was influenced by Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Little Richard. He was also in
a few bands while growing up. While he was in college he began performing folk and country music
at local cafes under the name Bob Dillon. In 1960, he dropped out of college and moved to New York.
In New York, Bob met his idol Woody Guthrie and visited him regularly and became great friends
with him. In 1961, he signed his first recording contract at Columbia Records and became one of the
most original influential voices in the history of American popular music. Throughout his lifetime he s
been awarded with Grammy s, Academy and Golden Globe awards. In 2012, he received the
Presidential Medal of Freedom from President Barack Obama. Bob Dylan wrote music based on

Explain How The Civil War Changed America
The Civil War changed America in huge ways that impacted everyone, even you today. The Northern
leadership and men felt freedom was entitled to everyone and fought to extinguish slavery. The
Southern leadership and soldiers fought to keep slavery and to become independent from the Union.
620,000 in the Civil War and 644,000 in all other conflicts . According to (battlefields.org) this is the
death count that was found at the end of the war versus the deaths in all other conflicts. Many lives
changed for the worst but most for the better because slavery was a thing of the past. The Civil War
redefined America by extinguishing slavery and making every man a free man and starting a road to a
united country The Civil War was a changing point for every American, North and South. Slavery
which held its prominence in the South was ruled illegal by the North after the war. All Americans
were declared free men and women. The original goal of our country, freedom for every man, was
finally fulfilled. The road to recovery for the African American population began. Even though slavery
was a distant memory it still had a effect on people. Freedom now appeared, to disappear no more

Slave¨. The ending of slavery changed a lot for America ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Ozymandias and the Grecian Urn Paper
Even though Ozymandias by Percy Shelley and Ode to a Grecian Urn by John Keats sound like very
different types of poems, they still share some of the same characteristics. In Ozymandias, Shelley
tells a story of how a man found a ancient statue of a king, with the words My name is Ozymandias,
King of Kings,/ Look on my Works, ye Might, and despair! The statue was broken into pieces, and the
land was bare, with nothing to look on (11). In Ode to a Grecian Urn, Keats is speaking to an ancient
urn and describing the unchanging pictures that are on it. These poems are very different in how their
objects interact with the passing of time and in the feelings that they invoke in the reader, but very
similar in the romantic ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The poem gives the reader a feeling of loneliness and emptiness by using lines like The lone and level
sands and boundless and bare (14, 13). In Ode to a Grecian Urn , the connotations of the words that
Keats uses are completely opposite. Keats even describes the urn as being able to tell A flowery tale
more sweetly than [their] rhyme (4). Keats then goes on to state that the melodies unheard/ Are
sweeter; therefore, ye soft pipes, play on (11 12). These lines are so light and pretty especially
compared to the harshness of Shelley s poem. Keats describes the beautiful pictures on the urn
throughout the rest of the poem, even making a sacrifice sound peaceful. Even though the way the
poems objects interact with the passing of time and the feelings the poems invoke in the reader differ
greatly, the romantic characteristics that both poems symbolize are very similar. Ironically, the
opposite parallels of the two poems have a way of representing a romantic mindset. For example, the
romantics believed that nature is supposed to teach. In Ozymandias , nature destroys a statue and a
town that had arisen from greed and the abuse of power. The king is stated to have a sneer of cold
command and a heart that fed his own desires (4,8). The trunkless legs of stone and a shattered visage
makes it sound like nature was not very happy with the king s show of authority (2, 4). In Ode

Integrity In Water Parks
Integrity is how a person is judged and will be remembered after they are gone. In other words
integrity is a person s word and how they ensure no matter what they always stick by their word
regardless of the situation and always be honest not only with people around them, but to themselves
as well. This allows individuals around to trust and believe in you and realize you can be relied upon
in any situation. I do not agree how Malcolm in the Middle portrays integrity not only within a family,
but as individuals. In the episode Water Parks Hal and Lois continually made jokes in regards to their
son Dewey and how there is not a babysitter in their town that will babysit him due to his disruptive
behavior. Hal and Lois appeared to pick up the phone and open the yellow pages trying to find anyone

each other. I for one would not allow my children to run free at a waterpark, unless they were able to
prove to me they were responsible enough. Point in case, Malcolm was afraid to ride the monster
water slide and he did not have the support of either parent to help him with the fear. The lifeguard at
the top of the ride did not assist in the matter as he made it worse with his lack of compassion. This
showed little integrity the lifeguard

What Is The Thesis Statement Of The Novel Fight Club
The goal of the present Mater thesis was to explore postmodern social criticism expressed in Chuck
Palahniuk s novel Fight Club through employment of simulacrum, simulation, and hyperreality in the
narrative. Therefore, two research questions that were set at the beginning of the research, were:
How are postmodern concepts of simulacrum, simulation, and hyperreality reflected in Chuck

How is Palahniuk employing these notions in his postmodern novel to criticise modern society and to
reflect a discontent with it?

Theme Of Colonialism In Robinson Crusoe
In this context it should be noted that the influence of colonialism is evident in both the novels
Robinson Crusoe and Gulliver s Travels. James Joyce expressed something that many would now
agree. He said that Robinson Crusoe was the true prototype of the British colonist . He completely
takes over this Island and strongly convinces himself that everything here belongs to him and him
alone. His actions depict a mini version of the activities of European nations sailing to conquer lands
so far unknown to them. Crusoe even makes a Christian out of Friday and teaches him to read and go
through the Bible. In a broad sense colonialism is when one country controls the resources of another
including all living creatures. Here Crusoe thought that on this island he was the sole rightful owner.
He created a home of substitution hoping to return to his native England in the future. This attitude
was the dominant characteristic of colonialism.
Europeans always nourished the idea of taking as much as possible from the new conquered lands and
then triumphantly return to their native countries and live comfortably off. It was the same in the
novel with Crusoe. Thus it can be said that the activities of Crusoe were the same as the Europeans
fighting for a stake in the colonies. His relationship with everything on the island was economic. It ...

Recognizing Depression Essays
Recognizing Depression
Going to college is a new chapter in a student s young life. They will face greater academic demands,
financial responsibilities, exposure to new people, and being on their own in a new environment.
Someone that already has difficulty dealing with the daily stresses of life may become overwhelmed
with new challenges and become depressed. People who have problems with depression have both
mental and physical symptoms (Frye, 1942). Some mental symptoms that a person may carry include
guilt, low self esteem, and feelings of worthlessness and inadequacy (NMHA, 2001). The physical
symptoms include over eating as well as not eating enough food. Someone may also have problems

More and more students begin binge drinking, smoking marijuana, and take many other types of drugs
that can cause serious harm to the human body.
Mentality of a Depressed Individual
Thousands of college students who have serious problems with depression need to realize they have a
problem in order to get better. Many students believe that they have failed themselves when they
admit to having a problem with depression (O Connor, 2001). People also look down upon those that
have special needs or take medication for their problems, especially college students. Students are
constantly judging themselves in order to live up to their standards as well as their peers, parents, and
professors standards. Unfortunately, student s standards of themselves can be much higher than others,
in turn making it very hard to reach them.
Improper Treatment of Students
Once a student admits to failure, they must make arrangements to talk with someone. If they do not
live near their home, they must talk with an advisor on their campus and taking that step can be very
difficult. Many people look down upon talking with someone and students believe that if they cannot
solve their own problems then they consider themselves a failure.
There are those that believe talking with an advisor on campus is the quickest way to recovery.
Unfortunately, that is not always the case. Colleges and universities across the country seem to steer

Analysis Of The Short Story Ennis And Jack
In the short story, Ennis and Jack are both described as rough mannered, rough spoken, and inured to
the stoic life (Proulx 1). Ennis had a high arched nose and narrow face, was scruffy, had a caved chest,
a small torso and caliper legs, possessed a muscular body and supple body made for the horse and
fighting (Proulx 3). He was a high school dropout and grew up having much of nothing after his
parents died when he was just a young boy (Proulx 2). The death of his parents forced him to grow up
at a young age. At the age of 19, he had a difficult time finding work and it wasn t until he came to
Brokeback Mountain that he found a summer job. This was also where he met Jack who had come
from a similar background. Jack had curly hair and a quick laugh, but carried weight in the haunch
and his smile showed his buckteeth. He loved the rodeo life. His boots were worn to the quick and
holed beyond repair (Proulx 3). Jack too was a high school dropout and was looking for summer work
and came back to Brokeback Mountain for the second year. Not only did they come from the same
background, but they also began to share the same love for each other. It wasn t until Ennis and Jack
were on the mountain alone and together that they discovered this love for each other. Although only a

A Study On Computer Technology
Introduction:
A study by (Lambert, 1999) discovered that family historians are collectors, they collect information
about people, places, names and stories. Our father Albert, was no different he lovingly compiled the
family history because it gave him a perspective on our past and present. To give us an opportunity to
learn about our heritage and build on it (Sharbrough, 2005, p. 64). Although it was common for people
of his generation to research and record on paper. Albert decided to embrace computer technology,
used the Osbourne 1 computer to record our story, and store it on a series of 5 1/4 floppy disks. The
recent discovery of the computer and the disks has ignited curiosity from our scattered younger family
members around the world about their contents. However, a report by a computer technician revealed
the Osbourne 1 is not in working order but the data on disks may be recoverable. Also, when the
family history is made accessible technological obsolescence issues will need to be managed. So that
access to the document is available to all who want now and into the future.
The obsolescence problem:
Technological obsolescence happens because of rapid advances in technology, make supporting a
product no longer viable or too expensive to keep in production, or the original manufacturer goes
bankrupt. Also, the product may fail because of age and cannot be repaired because parts aren t
available (Bartels, Ermel, Pecht, Sandborn, 2012a, pp. 2 3; Slade, 2007,

The Holocaust During World War II
The Holocaust was an event that took place from 1933 to 1945 in Germany. During this time, Adolf
Hitler was in charge, resulting in the prejudice actions that are well written in history. Facing
economic, social, and political oppression, thousands of German Jews wanted to flee, but found few
countries wanting to take them in. Eventually, under Hitler s leadership, some 6 million Jews were
murdered during World War II. In this time period the Nazi s waged a war against the Jews and other
races that they considered to be unequal in race and superiority to the German race. The actions that
took place during the Holocaust were seen as the Final Solution . The Holocaust was one of the
darkest times in history, and can be traced to the rising of Hitler, An egomaniac with delusions of
grandeur, and power (Steinberg 240). The Holocaust resulted in the deaths of many Jews and other
non Germans, until they were liberated by America.
When Adolf Hitler gained power in Germany in 1933, he knew that only sudden death awaited him if
he failed to restore pride Germany. During the Holocaust, people from around the world were shocked
at the actions of Hitler and his people. He rose with his anti Jew campaign and it soon came to pass
with the Nuremberg Laws. Although most Americans, preoccupied with the war itself, remained
unaware of the terrible situation involving the Jews, the American Jewish community responded with
alarm to the news. Americans, along with other Jewish organizations,

Trade Distribution amoung Nations
The Grand Total
The Russian Federation, along with China, USA, Switzerland and Norway, is one of the main trade
partners of the European Union . In 2012 the total trade value (sum of the value of imports and
exports) amounted to 319.363.078,07 billion Euros. The value of European imports from the
Federation amounted to 196.826.538,75 billion Euros while the exports amounted to 122.536.539,32
billion Euros. Accordingly, the EU 27 trade balance presented a deficit of 74.289.999,43 billion Euros.
The trade distribution
The geographical distribution of the imports sees six European countries sharing almost 50% of the
total value for both imports and exports. Those top 6 were: Germany (15,26%), the Netherlands
(13,67%), Poland (10,95%), Italy (9,31), the United Kingdom (5,83%) and France (5,60%).
Interestingly, among the top 6 is possible to find the top 4 of the opposite trade leg. The combined
share of Germany (30,95%), Italy (8,14%), France (7,44%) and the Netherlands (6,72%) accounted in
53,25% of the total value of exports. Although accordingly the geographical distribution followed a
similar pattern in both imports and exports, the differences among the top countries were quite
remarkable. If for the imports the gap between the two main partners (Germany and the Netherlands)
was of only 1,59 pp, for the exports (Germany and Italy) the gap widened up to 22,81 pp.
The trade primacy of Germany is also shown in the geographical distribution of the main sections (i.e.

Eve By Christina Rossetti
In A Daughter of Eve , Christina Rossetti describes a prostitute who regrets her decisions in the past;
this regret is sparked by her loss of virginity. Through the prostitute s perspective, Rossetti conveys
that a loss of innocence can lead to regret through her use of biblical references, contrast of time and
seasons, and evocative diction that helps augment her bitter tone of remorse.
Firstly, the title is a reference to the myth of Adam and Eve, the first man and woman and ancestors of
all human beings. The daughter of eve at first glance seems to represent the prostitute a female human.
Upon further thinking, it is likely that the title connects to how all women are prone to temptation,
much like how Eve was tempted to eat the apple. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the first stanza of the poem the speaker writes A fool I was to sleep at noon,/ And wake when night
is chilly (Rossetti 1 2) Noon is the time of the day when it is bright outside and has connotations to
innocence, whereas the chilly night has a negative connotation. This is especially supported in the next
line where the speaker describes the chilly night Beneath the comfortless cold moon; (Rossetti 3). This
further enforces the negative connotation of night. This contrast between night and day further
symbolizes the prostitute s loss of innocence and the remorse she feels. Furthermore, a similar scheme
can be seen in the second stanza where the speaker contrasts the seasons of summer and winter. She
recalls Oh it was summer when I slept,/ It s winter now I awaken. (Rossetti 9 10) Summer is typically
seen as a season of joy and winter is perceived as the cold season of despair. In line 11, Rossetti writes
Talk what you please of future spring (Rossetti 11). Spring is seen as the season of a new start; the
speaker regrets her decisions so much as to yearn for a new start. Moreover, Rossetti is trying to
express the pain and suffering that comes from the regretful

Case Study Of Southwest Airlines

Economic turbulences can cause an airline business to deteriorate or even get closed. In case of
financial crisis in the world, airlines are borne to losses like any other business. Economic cycles such
as Boom, recession, depression and recovery can determine which business an airline is leading.
Aviation industry contributes to the GDP of any country, so when a country is a boom state the airline
is making more revenues and raising GDP. Airlines also face the biggest threat when an economic
crisis occurs. One of the most apparent actions during an economic crisis is layoff of employees to

of its destiny and they are able to make calculated decision and adjust their policies to enhance the
business operation. Southwest Airlines developed a successful low cost model that proven that airlines
can withstand any financial trouble. The airline strategy was purchasing a fleet of Boeing 737, a fuel

Music Therapy Should Not Be Considered A Therapy
It is surprising to realize the practice of one small therapy could impact the world in a big and positive
way. Music therapy is the practice of using music to better the lives of people with motor, cognitive,
and speech disabilities, along with surgical patients. This is achieved by redirecting neural networks in
the brain with certain types of music selected for that specific patient. This is not a field for every
musician however, only educated students who are board certified should practice music therapy for
the safety for the patients. Although many people believe music therapy should not be considered a
therapy, it should be considered a mainstream beneficial medical practice and used worldwide. It
greatly increases the education of mentally disabled children, surgical patients have a safer option for
pain reduction, and it creates employment for people who are interested in a career dealing with
music.
Music therapy is the clinical and evidence based use of music interventions to accomplish
individualized goals within a therapeutic relationship by an accredited professional who as completed
an approved music therapy program. Music therapists hope that scientific research continues to define
how their work differs from entertainment, and how it benefits patients as much as other more familiar
complementary therapies such as art therapy. (Mellskog) This shows how even though there is little
research and evidence on music therapy, it is still very effective and a

I believe the women in sex slavery and those who are placed in brothels have the worst situation
because you are used and abused for the rest of your life. Some of the owners provide drugs for the
women and then seduce them seduce so the women do not know what is going on. These owners also
do not care about the women because the owners can go out and just purchase another slave. The
women are used and abused then when the owners do not want them anymore they get rid of the
women. Then the owners go out and get another female and the vicious cycle continues over and over
again until the owners are satisfied. As horrible as this life sounds, I believe the children in this trade
have it the worst.
Children trafficking is the most sickening and cruel trafficking of them all. How could a person take
an innocent child and sell him/her to someone who is just going to hurt them? This is the part that I
cannot wrap my mind around. Yes, some children are annoying but, no child deserves to be taken
away and sold. Children are people they should not be treated as items or things that can be easily
replaced. Some children have done things that are wrong and some children have done nothing. Even
if a child has done something wrong, that child does not deserve to be sold into trafficking. How could

Best Explanations In Aristotle s Debate

An animal or plant is an organic whole, a complicated system of interrelated capacities ( Aristotle on
Teleological Explanation , pg. 76), which serve as self maintaining, according to Aristotle. He also
believes that this capacity to maintain functional states through self nutrition and to propagate them
through reproduction is the mark that sets off the living from the lifeless ( Aristotle on Teleological
Explanation , pg. 76) and also means that the facility to ingest and use food is essential for life. He
claims that self nutrition, with reproduction, is the first and most common capacity of soul, the one in
virtue of which life belongs to all that has life ( Aristotle on Teleological Explanation , pg. 76).
Describing more upon his elucidation of this subject matter, Aristotle looks deeply at what, in essence,

The Importance Of Exceptive Leadership
Society benefits from effective leadership. However, effective leadership is not inherent to most
people and requires development. As Ross Perot states Lead and inspire people...Inventories can be
managed but people must be lead (Anderson, 2013). Exceptional leadership goes beyond a role of
power. James Hunter writes in his successful book The Servant, that leadership is influence and all
people are capable of leadership by the influence that they transmit into the world (2012). The role of
doctoral prepared nurse practitioners extends beyond the confine of employee. The expanse of the
nurse practitioner role includes leadership within the clinical, community, and national setting. As
Hunter proclaims, everyone is a leader, including nurses. Therefore, it is imperative that nurses are the
exceptional leaders that society benefits from. The following is a compendium of leadership topics
valuable to building awareness and competency as a nurse leader. The intention for this compendium
is for the author to demonstrate understanding of the eleven identified leadership topics by review of
the literature. This paper will explore the many facets of leadership and their applications with a focus
on the nurse practitioner role. Critical points of leadership skills, qualities, and challenges will be
examined for each topic.

1.1 INTRODUCTION
Resistance training has become one of most popular physical activities for increasing muscular
strength, endurance, hypertrophy and muscular power (American College of Sports Medicine, 2002).
Resistance training can be done either in the gymnasium or outside the gymnasium using the weight,
barbell, dumbbell, machine exercise, fit ball or body weight using the variables that needed. When
designing resistance training programs, many variables such as intensity, volume, frequency,

years. Kids are loud, they stomp around, and they get tired and bored easily. These are the traits of a
poor hunter, so it would make sense that as a nine and ten year old, I did not see very many animals,

Vikash Pathak And George W Bush s Themes Of Unity
Unity JK Rowling once said, We are only as strong as we are united, as weak as we are divided . This
quote is stating that unity is needed for a country in tough times. Unity is what holds our country and
society together. In George W. Bush s Address to the Nation, he is trying to keep his country unified
after the 9/11 terrorist attack. He had to inspire and insure his country that the government and the
military were supporting them. Vikash Pathak gave the speech Important India, this speech was given
to show the significance of sticking together as a country and as a society. The speech Important India
by Vikash Pathak and George W Bush s address to the Nation both reflect a similar theme of Unity.
Bush s Address to the Nation portrays the message of standing together throughout a tough situation,
unifying that, Pathak s essay communicates that without unity, a society will fail. George W Bush s
Address to the Nation after 9/11 showed the need for unity, and it was needed to keep the United
States of America strong in this tough situation. 9/11 was a tragic terrorist attack made on the United
States of America in 2001, this event shocked the nation and the world. President Bush made this

Oj Simpson Reflection
After watching O.J. Made in America, I gained a different perspective of O.J Simpson and the
understanding of how society was back in the early 50 s. When I had first heard of O.J Simpson it was
not about football or him being in movies, it was about how he had brutally murdered his wife at the
time and her lover. Along with hearing about how he had brutally murdered the two, it was known
how he was self centered, very egocentric and would try to talk his way out of everything which the
film had stated. In the beginning of the film it showed O.J Simpson in court, being asked if he was
first arrested at the age of 46. Then instantly moved forward to how his football career started. I feel
like the director did this to show how O.J was before the allegation of him being convicted of
manslaughter. High school he was known for football and eventually a college recruiter scouted him
from the University of South California. Furthering his fame with football he was known in college
for the run . The run was when USC was playing against UCLA. When USC was losing badly within
11 minutes O.J made a touch down making the win for USC. Finally From there the New York
Buffalo s coach recruited him where later on he had retired from the football fame to now being an
actor. Although the majority of the film in Part 1 was of O.J s football career it also showed how
heavy segregation, police brutality, and the civil rights movement were. The documenter stated how
significant segregation was

Ice Cream And St. Louis World s Fair
Ice Cream How did Ice Cream come to be and how has it evolved over the years? It seems like an odd
question, but one that none of us know the answer. However, through my research I am able to answer
this question. I have found the origin of Ice Cream. I got to see if the old wives tale about the Ice
Cream Cone and the St. Louis World s Fair in 1904 was true. Also, I now know about America s mass
production of Ice Cream, and that our founders loved this sweet dessert. Ice Cream can be traced back
to the Tang Dynasty in China. The emperor at the time used to call the Ice Cream makers Ice men.
Since Ice Cream was so difficult to make until refrigerating technology, it was only meant for the rich
and powerful. This means it was only made on ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
George Washington bought an Ice Cream maker for the whole capital. Also, Dolly Madison served Ice
Cream at events at the White House. In modern times we can have any flavor of Ice Cream we can
imagine. Ice Cream has become such a big industry. Companies like Ben and Jerry s come out with
new flavors very often. It is true that Americans mass produce Ice Cream, but it still tastes good. Ice
Cream is in almost every American s fridge and some have it on a daily basis. It doesn t matter rich or
poor, powerful or not powerful. But, we all know the ice cream song, we all remember running out to
the Ice Cream truck as a child and begging for Ice Cream. We have Ice Cream at school for parties or
for Ice Cream dates. Ice Cream has grown so much. Once it was a small idea from someone and now
has become its own industry. Its cool to think that during President Madison s term they might have
been having an Ice Cream while discussing a law that was put in place back then. We don t think
about what all the history when we eat Ice Cream. Nor do we really know what all went on to get the
ice cream and the Ice Cream cone from the Ice Cream truck. This little dessert that dates backs to 618
A.D. now has its own international industry. It is now an American icon. Ice Cream has become
something every American knows and loves. We can all agree that as a child, we ,at least once, ran out
to the Ice Cream

Taking a Look at MapReduce
With the rapid development of the high speed internet and information technology, information
products and thus promote more widespread use of the digital data is increasingly dramatically.
Internet provides convenience to make the people change their habits of the past, by changing the
habits and then develop a cloud computing technology, which can be connected in series and use a lot
of computers, distributed computing and parallel computing, rapid processing of massive data, so
greatly enhance the efficiency of operation processing.
However, cloud computing has gone through several important stages and gradually formed, it is not a
new technology but it does inherit a standalone computing, parallel computing, technology and
development of distributed computing and grid computing. Leaving the cloud computing gradually
becomes a new area.
MapReduce is a distributed computing environment provides a framework for the design of a parallel
computing, in order to simplify the development of multi tasking applications. For parallel processing,
the MapReduce design concept is quite suitable for use with particle swarm algorithm with parallel
computing concept combined. Therefore, this study will use Hadoop platform, raised MRuPSO
algorithm, it was integrated PSO (Particle Swarm Optimization) and MapReduce architecture.
In this study, we focused on the typical Computational Intelligence algorithm: Particle Swarm
Optimization (PSO). PSO is a useful utility swarm intelligence

How Does Anne Hathaway Play In Shakespeare s Life
The birth date of Shakespeare is uncertain but he was baptized on April 26, 1564. He is the son of
John Shakespeare, who was an alderman and a successful glover, and of Mary Arden, the daughter of
an afluent landowner. He was the third child of eight and was the oldest surviving one. He went to the
King s New School in Stratford. The school he was in provided intensive education in grammar based
upon Latin classical authors. This may have been what motivated him on his career. If not, it still
served him as a very valuable beginning.
At age 18, he marries a woman names Anne Hathaway. At the time, she was 26 years old. He seemed
to be very in love with her. Six months after his wedding his wife gave birth to Susanna. Two years

Lanthanides and Actinides
Lanthanides and Actinides
The lanthanides and the actinides make up the f block of the periodic table. The lanthanides are the
elements produced as the 4f sub level is filled with electrons and the actinides are formed while filling
the 5f sub level
Some significant similarities and differences between lanthanides and actinides are observed. The two
rows that are generally placed underneath the main periodic table are called the lanthanides series and
the actinides series. These two rows are produced when electrons are being added to f orbitals.
Therefore this block of elements are referred to as the f block. The lanthanides are also occasionally
referred to the rare earth elements. Lanthanide and Actinide Series

This is due to shielding of the unpaired electrons of the inner 4f orbital by the outer 5s, 5p, and 5d
orbital s. Due to the small change in size of the ions, they show great similarity in their chemical
properties. The first few members are quite reactive. A few properties are given below.
All lanthanides react rapidly upon exposure to air.
They dissolve in hot water and react with acid with liberating hydrogen.
They act as a strong reducing agent because of the strong electro positive nature
They form the nitrides and hydrides after reacting with nitrogen and hydrogen respectively.
They also react with non metals like halogens, sulfur, phosphorus, carbon and silicon and form their
corresponding compounds.
Lanthanide Contraction
The atomic size or ionic radii of tri positive lanthanide ions show a steady and gradual decrease with
the increase in atomic number from La to Lu. Although they show some irregularities but ionic radii
decrease steadily from La to Lu. This gradual decreasing in the size with increasing atomic number is
called lanthanide contraction.
Cause of lanthanide contraction
The major cause for lanthanide contraction is due to the inappropriate shielding of the 4f electrons due
to the improper shape of the f orbitals. As the atomic number increases in lanthanide series, for every
proton in the nucleus the extra electron

  • 2. Political Dynamics Of Japan And Japan Topic #11: Political Dynamics of Japan The party politics of Japan, which is characterized by the dominance of the LDP close to One and a half Party System, has two peculiar aspects. First, none of the parties, including the LDP, is truly mass political movements. Even the LDP, Japan s largest party, has a membership of one million, slightly more than 1% of the population. Second, all major parties, due to their factional intra party politics, are unstable and internally disunited. Also, there are extreme left and right wingers who fail to gain a broad support. The bond between zaikai and the LDP politicians has remained strong throughout 60 years of the party history. All of main economic federations such as Keidanren and Nikkeiren that represent zaikai interests regularly present their position papers to LDP PMs and MPs, who reflect zaikai interests in their policy decisions. Also, zaikai leaders directly influence government policies through their participation in deliberation councils, half public, half private organizations set up by ministries. In addition, zaikai leaders form personal connections to LDP politicians through having them as their consultants with high payrolls or giving financial supports through koenkai, or association of supporters. A number of factors contributed to the downfall of LDP dominance from 1993 to 1996. The first factor is the side effects from PM Takeo Miki s intra party reform in 1977. In order to clean up factions within the party, make the party less dependent on zakai and make party leadership more democratic, Miki introduced primary system. The first primary election held in 1978 showed that primary elections would not reduce the party s dependence on zaikai but actually increase it, since candidates had to buy off voters and pay their registration fee instead. Also, primary elections led to breakdown of party solidary and led to splintering of the LDP. Secondly, demographic shifts also ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Renaissance in Art Essay Renaissance Art When the new upper class movement, Renaissance, occurred in Italy around the 14th century, a revival of the classical forms originally developed by the ancient Greeks and Romans, an intensified concern with secular life, and interest in humanism and assertion of the importance of the individual began. Thus, artists such as Mosaccio and Giotto depicted art that unlike the Middle Ages, showed emotions, feelings, and bright colors, thus demonstrating the deep concern for naturalism in the society. This then allowed the creation of new styles and mathematical input that manifested everyday life with religious aspects. One such artist was Giovanni Bellini who introduced bright, rich, strong colors into his palette and landscapes that expressed the happiness, calmness, and prosperity that Italy carried throughout the Renaissance. These characteristics and styles of paintings subsequently became a popular Venetian cornerstone. Other important figures in the Italian Renaissance that demonstrated the movement?s ideas through their ingenious paintings and architectural methods were Pier Della Francesca and Leon Battista Alberti. Francesca, who was and expert in mathematics, developed the art form of perspective. Alberti, on the other hand, as an architect developed the pediment which became popular throughout the entire Renaissance. • 5. Essay on Reproductive and Therapeutic Cloning There are two types of cloning, one of them is reproductive cloning which is when a whole organism is cloned and therapeutic cloning is the cloning of cells, organs or tissues. Cloning is when two cells decide or are forced to duplicate into two cells to replicate each other. Cloning can be done deliberately or naturally; and it results in two copies having identical cells, DNA, genes, organs and organisms. Cloning is a common, ongoing, debatable topic among society today. Many people argue about how future scientific advances in cloning will affect society. Also, because there are many benefits to cloning and since not everyone believes in a god why should religion be used in making decisions for people where religious morality is not even an issue? The beliefs of some people should not deprive others of the benefits of cloning. There are those with religious beliefs who think that taking antibiotics or receiving blood transfusions is wrong, but this does not stop the rest of the world from receiving the benefits from them. In Ozymandias, Shelley tells a story of how a man found a ancient statue of a king, with the words My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings,/ Look on my Works, ye Might, and despair! The statue was broken into pieces, and the land was bare, with nothing to look on (11). Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The poem gives the reader a feeling of loneliness and emptiness by using lines like The lone and level sands and boundless and bare (14, 13). In Ode to a Grecian Urn , the connotations of the words that Keats uses are completely opposite. Keats even describes the urn as being able to tell A flowery tale more sweetly than [their] rhyme (4). Keats then goes on to state that the melodies unheard/ Are sweeter; therefore, ye soft pipes, play on (11 12). These lines are so light and pretty especially compared to the harshness of Shelley s poem. Keats describes the beautiful pictures on the urn throughout the rest of the poem, even making a sacrifice sound peaceful. Even though the way the poems objects interact with the passing of time and the feelings the poems invoke in the reader differ greatly, the romantic characteristics that both poems symbolize are very similar. Ironically, the opposite parallels of the two poems have a way of representing a romantic mindset. For example, the romantics believed that nature is supposed to teach. In Ozymandias , nature destroys a statue and a town that had arisen from greed and the abuse of power. The king is stated to have a sneer of cold command and a heart that fed his own desires (4,8). • 16. Theme Of Colonialism In Robinson Crusoe In this context it should be noted that the influence of colonialism is evident in both the novels Robinson Crusoe and Gulliver s Travels. James Joyce expressed something that many would now agree. He said that Robinson Crusoe was the true prototype of the British colonist . He completely takes over this Island and strongly convinces himself that everything here belongs to him and him alone. His actions depict a mini version of the activities of European nations sailing to conquer lands so far unknown to them. Crusoe even makes a Christian out of Friday and teaches him to read and go through the Bible. In a broad sense colonialism is when one country controls the resources of another including all living creatures. Here Crusoe thought that on this island he was the sole rightful owner. He created a home of substitution hoping to return to his native England in the future. This attitude was the dominant characteristic of colonialism. Europeans always nourished the idea of taking as much as possible from the new conquered lands and then triumphantly return to their native countries and live comfortably off. • 21. A Study On Computer Technology Introduction: A study by (Lambert, 1999) discovered that family historians are collectors, they collect information about people, places, names and stories. Our father Albert, was no different he lovingly compiled the family history because it gave him a perspective on our past and present. To give us an opportunity to learn about our heritage and build on it (Sharbrough, 2005, p. 64). Although it was common for people of his generation to research and record on paper. Albert decided to embrace computer technology, used the Osbourne 1 computer to record our story, and store it on a series of 5 1/4 floppy disks. The recent discovery of the computer and the disks has ignited curiosity from our scattered younger family members around the world about their contents. However, a report by a computer technician revealed the Osbourne 1 is not in working order but the data on disks may be recoverable. Also, when the family history is made accessible technological obsolescence issues will need to be managed. So that access to the document is available to all who want now and into the future. The obsolescence problem: Technological obsolescence happens because of rapid advances in technology, make supporting a product no longer viable or too expensive to keep in production, or the original manufacturer goes bankrupt. During this time, Adolf Hitler was in charge, resulting in the prejudice actions that are well written in history. Facing economic, social, and political oppression, thousands of German Jews wanted to flee, but found few countries wanting to take them in. Eventually, under Hitler s leadership, some 6 million Jews were murdered during World War II. In this time period the Nazi s waged a war against the Jews and other races that they considered to be unequal in race and superiority to the German race. The actions that took place during the Holocaust were seen as the Final Solution . The Holocaust was one of the darkest times in history, and can be traced to the rising of Hitler, An egomaniac with delusions of grandeur, and power (Steinberg 240). The Holocaust resulted in the deaths of many Jews and other non Germans, until they were liberated by America. When Adolf Hitler gained power in Germany in 1933, he knew that only sudden death awaited him if he failed to restore pride Germany. During the Holocaust, people from around the world were shocked at the actions of Hitler and his people. He rose with his anti Jew campaign and it soon came to pass with the Nuremberg Laws. Those top 6 were: Germany (15,26%), the Netherlands (13,67%), Poland (10,95%), Italy (9,31), the United Kingdom (5,83%) and France (5,60%). Interestingly, among the top 6 is possible to find the top 4 of the opposite trade leg. The combined share of Germany (30,95%), Italy (8,14%), France (7,44%) and the Netherlands (6,72%) accounted in 53,25% of the total value of exports. Although accordingly the geographical distribution followed a similar pattern in both imports and exports, the differences among the top countries were quite remarkable. If for the imports the gap between the two main partners (Germany and the Netherlands) was of only 1,59 pp, for the exports (Germany and Italy) the gap widened up to 22,81 pp. The trade primacy of Germany is also shown in the geographical distribution of the main sections (i.e. ... • 27. Eve By Christina Rossetti In A Daughter of Eve , Christina Rossetti describes a prostitute who regrets her decisions in the past; this regret is sparked by her loss of virginity. Through the prostitute s perspective, Rossetti conveys that a loss of innocence can lead to regret through her use of biblical references, contrast of time and seasons, and evocative diction that helps augment her bitter tone of remorse. Firstly, the title is a reference to the myth of Adam and Eve, the first man and woman and ancestors of all human beings. The daughter of eve at first glance seems to represent the prostitute a female human. Upon further thinking, it is likely that the title connects to how all women are prone to temptation, much like how Eve was tempted to eat the apple. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In the first stanza of the poem the speaker writes A fool I was to sleep at noon,/ And wake when night is chilly (Rossetti 1 2) Noon is the time of the day when it is bright outside and has connotations to innocence, whereas the chilly night has a negative connotation. This is especially supported in the next line where the speaker describes the chilly night Beneath the comfortless cold moon; (Rossetti 3). This further enforces the negative connotation of night. This contrast between night and day further symbolizes the prostitute s loss of innocence and the remorse she feels. Furthermore, a similar scheme can be seen in the second stanza where the speaker contrasts the seasons of summer and winter. She recalls Oh it was summer when I slept,/ It s winter now I awaken. (Rossetti 9 10) Summer is typically seen as a season of joy and winter is perceived as the cold season of despair. In line 11, Rossetti writes Talk what you please of future spring (Rossetti 11). Spring is seen as the season of a new start; the speaker regrets her decisions so much as to yearn for a new start. Music therapy is the practice of using music to better the lives of people with motor, cognitive, and speech disabilities, along with surgical patients. This is achieved by redirecting neural networks in the brain with certain types of music selected for that specific patient. High school he was known for football and eventually a college recruiter scouted him from the University of South California. Furthering his fame with football he was known in college for the run . The run was when USC was playing against UCLA. When USC was losing badly within 11 minutes O.J made a touch down making the win for USC. Finally From there the New York Buffalo s coach recruited him where later on he had retired from the football fame to now being an actor. Although the majority of the film in Part 1 was of O.J s football career it also showed how heavy segregation, police brutality, and the civil rights movement were. The documenter stated how significant segregation was ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 42. Ice Cream And St. Louis World s Fair Ice Cream How did Ice Cream come to be and how has it evolved over the years? It seems like an odd question, but one that none of us know the answer. However, through my research I am able to answer this question. I have found the origin of Ice Cream. I got to see if the old wives tale about the Ice Cream Cone and the St. Louis World s Fair in 1904 was true. Also, I now know about America s mass production of Ice Cream, and that our founders loved this sweet dessert. Ice Cream can be traced back to the Tang Dynasty in China. The emperor at the time used to call the Ice Cream makers Ice men. Since Ice Cream was so difficult to make until refrigerating technology, it was only meant for the rich and powerful. This means it was only made on ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... George Washington bought an Ice Cream maker for the whole capital. Also, Dolly Madison served Ice Cream at events at the White House. In modern times we can have any flavor of Ice Cream we can imagine. Ice Cream has become such a big industry. Companies like Ben and Jerry s come out with new flavors very often. It is true that Americans mass produce Ice Cream, but it still tastes good. Ice Cream is in almost every American s fridge and some have it on a daily basis. It doesn t matter rich or poor, powerful or not powerful. But, we all know the ice cream song, we all remember running out to the Ice Cream truck as a child and begging for Ice Cream. We have Ice Cream at school for parties or for Ice Cream dates. Ice Cream has grown so much. Once it was a small idea from someone and now has become its own industry. Its cool to think that during President Madison s term they might have been having an Ice Cream while discussing a law that was put in place back then. We don t think about what all the history when we eat Ice Cream. Nor do we really know what all went on to get the ice cream and the Ice Cream cone from the Ice Cream truck. This little dessert that dates backs to 618 A.D. now has its own international industry. It is now an American icon. Ice Cream has become something every American knows and loves. We can all agree that as a child, we ,at least once, ran out to the Ice Cream ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 43. Taking a Look at MapReduce With the rapid development of the high speed internet and information technology, information products and thus promote more widespread use of the digital data is increasingly dramatically. Internet provides convenience to make the people change their habits of the past, by changing the habits and then develop a cloud computing technology, which can be connected in series and use a lot of computers, distributed computing and parallel computing, rapid processing of massive data, so greatly enhance the efficiency of operation processing. However, cloud computing has gone through several important stages and gradually formed, it is not a new technology but it does inherit a standalone computing, parallel computing, technology and development of distributed computing and grid computing. Leaving the cloud computing gradually becomes a new area. MapReduce is a distributed computing environment provides a framework for the design of a parallel computing, in order to simplify the development of multi tasking applications. For parallel processing, the MapReduce design concept is quite suitable for use with particle swarm algorithm with parallel computing concept combined. Therefore, this study will use Hadoop platform, raised MRuPSO algorithm, it was integrated PSO (Particle Swarm Optimization) and MapReduce architecture. In this study, we focused on the typical Computational Intelligence algorithm: Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO). PSO is a useful utility swarm intelligence ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 44. How Does Anne Hathaway Play In Shakespeare s Life The birth date of Shakespeare is uncertain but he was baptized on April 26, 1564. He is the son of John Shakespeare, who was an alderman and a successful glover, and of Mary Arden, the daughter of an afluent landowner. He was the third child of eight and was the oldest surviving one. He went to the King s New School in Stratford. The school he was in provided intensive education in grammar based upon Latin classical authors. This may have been what motivated him on his career. If not, it still served him as a very valuable beginning. At age 18, he marries a woman names Anne Hathaway. At the time, she was 26 years old. He seemed to be very in love with her. Six months after his wedding his wife gave birth to Susanna. Two years later ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 45. Lanthanides and Actinides Lanthanides and Actinides The lanthanides and the actinides make up the f block of the periodic table. The lanthanides are the elements produced as the 4f sub level is filled with electrons and the actinides are formed while filling the 5f sub level Some significant similarities and differences between lanthanides and actinides are observed. The two rows that are generally placed underneath the main periodic table are called the lanthanides series and the actinides series. These two rows are produced when electrons are being added to f orbitals. Therefore this block of elements are referred to as the f block. The lanthanides are also occasionally referred to the rare earth elements. Lanthanide and Actinide Series Back to Top ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This is due to shielding of the unpaired electrons of the inner 4f orbital by the outer 5s, 5p, and 5d orbital s. Due to the small change in size of the ions, they show great similarity in their chemical properties. The first few members are quite reactive. A few properties are given below. All lanthanides react rapidly upon exposure to air. They dissolve in hot water and react with acid with liberating hydrogen. They act as a strong reducing agent because of the strong electro positive nature They form the nitrides and hydrides after reacting with nitrogen and hydrogen respectively. They also react with non metals like halogens, sulfur, phosphorus, carbon and silicon and form their corresponding compounds. Lanthanide Contraction Back to Top The atomic size or ionic radii of tri positive lanthanide ions show a steady and gradual decrease with the increase in atomic number from La to Lu. Although they show some irregularities but ionic radii decrease steadily from La to Lu. This gradual decreasing in the size with increasing atomic number is called lanthanide contraction. Cause of lanthanide contraction The major cause for lanthanide contraction is due to the inappropriate shielding of the 4f electrons due to the improper shape of the f orbitals. As the atomic number increases in lanthanide series, for every proton in the nucleus the extra electron ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
