Chlorine is the single largest contributor to safe drinking water, in the history of public health.
(J.Salzman, 2012). In 1902 the first chlorine disinfection system was installed in Belgium. By the
1920 s nearly the whole world started using the process (HealthLinkBC, 2014). Due to this
disinfection process many disease causing microorganisms were abolished.

The Effects Of Discrimination In The Deaf Community
Most people, when they see a Deaf person, right away see them as disabled and unable to
function properly within society like a hearing person. This way of thinking has subjected the
Deaf community to discrimination on a daily basis at school, work, and even in their own
households. Hearing people make decisions for the Deaf in regards to how they should be
educated, what kinds of jobs they can and can and cannot do, and how they should be prepared
for those jobs. In this paper we will be examining various scholars who conducted studies within
the Deaf community in order to understand their needs and the discrimination they face. I will be
going over the discrimination faced by the Deaf community, explaining what Audism is as
discussed by Eckert and Rowley (2013) and why it affects the Deaf community. One thing all
scholars agree is that Deaf people face many disadvantages when compared to hearingpeople and
each make suggestions to help stop these disadvantages. Therefore, I will then discuss the policy
suggestions made by each scholar. Each scholar used different research methods to conduct their
studies, because of this they each found different types of discrimination faced by the Deaf
community which I will be discussing after the policy suggestions. Finally, I will conclude this
paper by discussing the gap in literature, my own implication for future research that I would like
to see done, and my own experience.

3. Analysis or troubleshooting
According to my DNA analysis when inputted into the BLAST system my unknown bacteria has
an eighty six percent similarity to Micrococcus Luteus. These result deviate a bit from the results
obtained in the Gideon experiment. Since, my DNA sequence result was not as high as I would
have preferred this could be due to the limited amount of DNA concentration available after the
PCR experiment was completed. A factor that could have allowed me to get a different bacteria
species from the biochemical test could have been that the sample taken from the culture could
have been contaminated. If the bacteria were not cultured properly this could also affect the results.

Employee involvement has been the key contributor to the decrease in the number of injuries on
Tinker AFB. The Tinker AFB Safety Office has stated they believe the number of injuries each
year has decreased due to the level of employee involvement achieved by the implementation of
the Star VPP in FY2010. The first fiscal year of data does not support this conclusion, but the
subsequent years do. It can be understood however the first year would not see a change, because
of the amount of time it takes for a program to be implemented in an organization the size of the

I. Introduction Why are we here? What is the purpose of our existence? How can we make
meaning in our lives? These questions have spurred debate for centuries, as humans question and
struggle with the idea of the meaning of our lives. We have tried to explain it with religion and
theology, science, philosophy, yet we have failed to find a definite answer. Perhaps we will never
know, but we can still speculate, as this paper aims to do. In Hermann Hesse s Siddhartha, Viktor
Frankl s Man s Search for Meaning, and Akira Kurosawa s Ikiru, all three protagonists, while
extremely different in culture and background, share the common struggle of bringing meaning to
their lives. Siddhartha focuses around Siddhartha, who embarks on a spiritual journey to attain
enlightenment during the time of Buddha. In Man s Search for Meaning, Viktor Frankl recounts
his time in the Nazi death camps during The Holocaust, and uses the framework of his theory,
logotherapy, to describe how he found meaning in midst of his suffering. Finally, Ikiru is a
Japanese film that tells the story of Mr. Watanabe, who struggles to make meaning of his final days
of living upon finding out he has a terminal cancer. Using the logotherapy that Viktor Frankl centers
his novel around, meaning can be found through three paths: work, love, and suffering. With this
framework, along with the stories of Siddhartha, Mr. Watanabe, and Frankl, we will try to answer
the age old question of how to find meaning in our lives.

Criminological Theory
Criminological theory and research can underpin criminal justice policy but this is not the soul
influence as there are many other factors that can contribute to its formation. Within this essay I
will discuss the relationship between the two and consider how criminological theory has been used
to inform policy. This will be done by looking examples such as neighbourhood policing. I will then
asses how and why evidence based policy is not always successful by highlighting its limitations.
Finally, I will consider the multitude of other factors that must also be taken into deliberation when
reviewing how criminal justice policy is formed, this includes; societal and cultural pressures,
policy transfer and structure of government.

The legal driving age should not be raised to 18. Firstly, Teens should be able to be independent.
They don t need the help of their parents forever. Secondly, teens shouldn t need to practice for
more than a year. Last, teens aren t the only ones getting in accidents. Anyone else in the world
can too, no matter what age. Teens aren t the only ones getting in car wrecks. First,

The last parliamentary election in Kuwait was held on July 28th of 2013. The call for
candidates to declare their candidacy was announced 40 days earlier. WC represented 3% of the
total candidates (8 out of 310). The Kuwaiti tweets posted over those 40 days were searched and
retrieved using a Twitter search through the analytics engine of Topsy.com. This search engine

Luckily, we did not come up with any accounts that are accessible only for followers. In previous
research, the gender of Twitter users was identified through the user s first name (Bamman, et
al. 2014; Burger, et al. 2011 Cunha, et al. 2014). However, using only the first name to infer the
