Advantages And Disadvantages Of Abrasive Jet Machining
Sapphire0.2 0.8 300
Abrasive:
The most common abrasive materials used for Abrasive jet machining are aluminum oxide, silicon
carbide. Sodium bicarbonates, glass beads of small grain size and dolomite are used for cleaning
and polishing purpose. The selection of abrasive material depends on the work material, machining
operation and required material removal rate.
The size of the material is also important. The material removal rate (MRR) depends on the grain
size. The coarse grains give high MRR, and they are recommended for cutting. The finer grains are
useful in finishing operation. However, the finer grain tends to stick together and cause a clog in
the nozzle. The grain must be sharp edged, but fine enough to remain ... Show more content on

Thin sections of brittle and hard material like ceramic, glass, and germanium can be machined.
Disadvantages of Abrasive Jet Machining: The material removal rate is low. The process tends to
environmental pollution. A dust collection system must be provided to avoid air pollution and
health hazards. This can be eliminated by using abrasive water jet machining. The abrasive
powder cannot be reused because its cutting ability decrease and it may clog on orifice of the
nozzle. Higher chance of stray cutting*. Tapering may occur during drilling. AJM not suited for
machining of soft material because the abrasive may get embedded in the work material. Nozzle
life is low (300hr), and short standoff distance causes frequent damages on the nozzle. The air used
for abrasive jet must be moister and oil free.
* Stray cutting is an over cutting of material during machining process. It results in a non uniform
cutting surface. Stray cutting is unavoidable if cutting operation not properly controlled.
Applications:
AJM is suitable for machining heat sensitive material like silicon, gallium because the heat
generation during the machining is very

Enron Of Enron And Enron
Enron Cooperation, is a company that was based in Houston Texas and was an energy company.
This company filed bankruptcy in 2001 leaving a lot of its employees that had no knowledge
about what was going on jobless and the company investors losing a lot of money. This was one
of biggest companies in the united states, it had a lot of assets all over the country and was
operating on a lot of profit that nobody knew how and why. The movie, Enron, The smartest guy in
the room shows that the company was cooking their books making it look like the company was
making a lot of profit. The movie starts by introducing the big scandalous bosses of Enron,
Chairman Kenneth Lay, CEO Jeff Skilling and CFO Andrew Fastow. The narrator describes the
company as a cooperation that is greedy and fraudulent and later turns bankrupt. We are showed
that top executives of Enron held their own personal accounts and transferred a millions of dollars
all the time. Their traders were doing scandalous things by fixing the market so the people would
invest in the company. Instead of fixing this, Ken Lay is shown in the documentary sending an
email to his traders saying they should keep making the millions for the company. After one of the
traders was arrested, Ken Lay needed someone that would continue making money for the
company. Jeff Skilling was appointed and came up with the mark to market idea. This idea is
defined in business as speculating the estimated profit and making it as the actual profit

Abraham Lincoln s Second Debate
In the effort to secure their own appointments to the U.S. Senate, Abraham Lincoln and Stephen
Douglas squared off in a series of seven debates in 1858. In the 1850s, America was facing a
political crisis, and slavery was threatening to tear the nation apart. There were seven debates that
took place between Abraham Lincolnand Stephen Douglas. The two candidates for Senate
challenged the other s ideas about many topics but the most import was, slavery and its future in the
United States. Before the first debate took place, Abraham Lincoln addressed a crowd in Chicago,
which is known famously as the House Divided Speech. In his speech, Lincoln attacked the
doctrine of popular sovereignty. He said that it had clearly failed in its goal of ending... Show more

From August 21 until October 15, Stephen Douglas battled Abraham Lincoln in face to face
debates all around the state. The prize they sought to win was a seat in the Senate. The debates
were to be held at 7 locations throughout Illinois. During the debates, Douglas still advocated
popular sovereignty, which meant to maintain the right of the citizens of a territory to permit or
prohibit slavery. It was, a sacred right of self government, or so he said. Lincoln proceeded to
point out that Douglas s position directly challenged the Dred Scott decision. This in which
decreed that the citizens of a territory had no such power. In what became known as the Freeport
Doctrine. Douglas replied that whatever the Supreme Court decided was not as important as the
actions of the citizens. If a territory refused to have slavery, no laws, no Supreme Court ruling,
would force them to permit it. Over and over again, Lincoln made that point that a house divided
could not stand. Douglas refuted this by saying that the founders, left each state perfectly free to do
as it pleased on the subject. Lincoln felt that blacks were entitled to the rights enumerated in the
Declaration of Independence, which include life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Douglas
argued that the founders

Bandwagon In Advertising
The media and advertisers have integrated themselves into our everyday lives without us even
realizing it and it s starting to appear that we ve almost become blind to it. Advertisement and the
media started out on billboards, metal signs, and newspapers but as time went on they began
evolving alongside technology. They began swarming the radio, consuming television, sneaking
onto the big screen, and most recently plastering themselves on every webpage that are focused
specifically on the consumer through their search history. This evolution has taken place with little

The Orbitofrontal Cortex and Social Behaviors
Within the realm if biological psychology, there are two known types of behaviour. One being
regulatory and the other, non regulatory. Regulatory behaviour is controlled by the hypothalamus
and maintains homeostasis in the body by continuing the processes of the vital body systems. An
example of this could be; eating. Regulatory behaviour occurs in a person s everyday life without
them noticing that it happens. Non regulatory behaviour, on the other hand is not controlled by a
homeostatic mechanism in the hypothalamus but rather in the orbitofrontal cortex. Example of non
regulatory behaviour include; parenting, aggression and social behaviour. (Swartz, L. et al, 2011)
The orbitofrontal cortex is a part of the brain that is located superiorly to the eye socket and
inferiorly to the frontal lobe. Part of its function is that it is involved in the regulation of reward
orientated behaviour, inhibiting unwanted behaviour as well as being involved with emotions and
decision making (Swartz, L et al, 2011).
The orbitofrontal cortex is greatly associated with social behaviour. With reference to (Beer, J. S. et
al), there are two theories that are coherent social short comings associated with the orbitofrontal
cortex. These are one, deficient emotional systems and two, self monitoring . Deficient emotional
systems or the lack of behavioural monitoring can be characterized by the somatic marker
hypothesis . This theory suggests that the orbitofrontal cortex is an imperative part

Application Of Using Smart Card
Abstract The objective is to give authorized clients access to sensitive data, while ensuring the data
from others. We are planning to implement it utilizing three factor authentication scheme combines
a one time secret key plan for customer validation (one time password), biometric password and
secure flash card (smart card). Our fundamental design contemplations were security, execution,
convenience, accessibility, and scale. Biometric scan can be implemented using smart card. The
created secure flash card has tamper resistant module, which contains client validation data and
security keys, thus the system is highly secure. The point of interest of this methodology is that the
client s biometric information is not imparted to remote server. At the same time the inconvenience
is that the remote server must trust the smart card to perform legitimate confirmation which
prompts different vulnerabilities. A nonspecific and secure system is proposed to overhaul two
factor authenticationto three component authentication. The transformation not just altogether
enhances the data confirmation requiring little to no effort additionally secures customer protection
in disseminated frameworks. Furthermore, this system holds a few practice accommodating
properties of the fundamental two component authentication, which we accept is of autonomous
investment.

Essay on The Change in Method of Suffragettes Between 1903...
The Change in Method of Suffragettes Between 1903 and 1915 From 1903 through to 1915, the
methods that the suffragettes used to gain the right to vote dramatically changed. In my essay I will
explain how and more importantly why the suffragettes went through several methods to get
themselves noticed by the male government. It was in 1903 when the suffragettes started to try and
gain enough publicity so that they were recognised. This tactic mainly consisted of ineffectual
activities like producing and then distributing leaflets. Most people would just discard or throw
these away. The newly founded WSPU, (which was formed by Emily Pankhust) would also make
pointless petitions and organise moves... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They did this by heckling MP s. This meant that they would chain themselves to MP s houses,
their limo s or anywhere else the MP s were, especially David Lloyd George. They also organised
large scale demonstrations that would hold up traffic for hours and deliberately get themselves
arrested to gain publicity. All of these things were done to show the government that they were not
to be messed with, but unfortunately the women were only charged with petty vandalism. This is
why Christabelle Pankhurst decided the suffragettes would call the government s bluff and begin
their third campaign, violence. Not only this but they also changed tack because of the situation
concerning the conciliation bills. Lloyd George promised to present a conciliation bill to
parliament if they called off their militancy campaign. They agreed to this but the bill presented
was simply talked out . Another two bills suffered the same fate until the women again felt
betrayed by the Liberals and David Lloyd George in particular. Because of this the womens
militancy campaign got worse not better, but at least womens emancipation was being discussed
where it mattered most, parliament. From 1911 the suffragettes went up a gear and tried to call the
governments bluff. They started to cause a real stir and politicians took notice, for the wrong
reasons.

1.1 MARKET ECONOMIES
Answer all questions in a complete paragraph with an opening sentence, 3 descriptive sentences and
1 closing sentence.
What is the major difference between a command economy and a market economy?
There is a major difference between a command economy and a market economy. Command is
where you have no choice and the government tells you what to do, like what your job is and
what product you will make. But, in market you have choices and your own personal feelings
about what you want your job to be and what product you will produce. That is the major difference
between a command economy and a market economy.
Which of the characteristics of a market economy do you believe is the most Important? Explain
I believe that profit is the is the most characteristic of a market economy. It is the amount of money
left over when subtracting the expenses so, it is the complete earnings of your business. That is
why I believe it is most important characteristic of a market economy.
Why have market economies been adopted in many countries throughout the world that formerly
had command economies?
There are some reasons why market economies have been adopted in many countries throughout the
world. It gives the government more opportunities to deal with more important issues such as war,
immigration, laws/rights, and etc. Instead of worrying about what every person in the country s job
is and having the government tell them everything they need to do. Those are

Man Vs. Society In The Sociology Of Leopard Man
Man VS Society
Living in society, we are under constant pressure to surrender our individuality to the will of the
majority, the school, the workplace, the family, etc. (Feys, P.6). Logan Feys, the author of The
Sociology of Leopard Man , states that society is persistently under pressure to change our
individual likings, personality, change the way we look, etc. to feel accepted and approved by
society. The desire to fit in and not be an outsider with social groups causes people to feel
pressured and change themselves to fit in. Fey s statement is correct that people conform with
society to not be an outsider or avoid the fear of possibly being an outsider.
Most people will change themselves and conform to fit in with the groups of people they want to
be apart of. The pressure of society causes people to form themselves into someone that they
believe that others would like and accept them. Logan Feys states, They may call themselves non
conformists, but most antisocial freaks, in their obsession with displaying their freakishness, are
just as dependent on others opinions as approval seeking socialites. (Feys, P. 2). This quote claims
that not everyone changes for society s requirements and that being a freak is similar to people
changing for people s approval. There s also those people that don t follow society s requirements
and be themselves, non conformists. Non conformist are people that live for their individuality and
their own choices. Non conformists

Gene Flow In Full Genotypes
Gene flow is the process by which individuals (full genotype), and/or the genetic material they
carry (certain alleles of genes), move from one population to another and is an important source of
genetic variation, because it brings new alleles in the population. Gene flow can be subdivided in
three categories: (1) Migration: the movement of full genotypes (individuals) from one population
to another within the same species, which may be further integrated later by breeding, (2)
Introgression: the movement of genes from one species or strain to another through a process of
successful mating (hybridization) and backcrossing, (3) Horizontal (or lateral) genetransfer: the
movement of genes from one species or strain to another without successful

Cocaine Addiction
Baby boomers will certainly remember the onset of the disco era in the late 1970s and early
1980s. It was a time when America was in transition and liberal values were taking over the
country. It s also the time frame when cocaine became America s drug of choice. As the new drug

was no negative stigma associated with people who chose to partake because everyone was doing
it and law enforcement couldn t keep up.

Research Paper On The Hippocampus
The hippocampus is part of the Limbic System (Wright, n.d.). According to Wright, the
hippocampus formation is found in the temporal lobe of the brain. The study of the hippocampus is
vital in understanding how it governs human behaviors. As perceived, the brain is a complex
machine and through understanding its crucial parts in the processing of information would give a
clear understanding and precautions to people on how to protect their brain from memory loss and
other similar diseases. In addition, Wright explained that the hippocampusis directly linked to the
entorhinal cortex and the fornix. That is to say that the output pathways of hippocampus passed
directly to the entorhinal cortex and the fornix before reaching other anterior structures. What is
more, not only do outputs coming from hippocampus are passed through the entorhinal cortex, but
both parts are also directly connected to one another which includes the amyglada (Wright, n.d).
Why is this part of the study? As elaborated by Wright, both entorhinal cortex and amyglada are
structures that are connected to several parts of the brain. Thereby, all areas of the brain that are
connected to aforesaid structures could be affected by hippocampus.... Show more content on

Earthquake Problems
The Earthquake struck the country at 4:53 p.m, it was a time that many people were out and
about, at school, at work or just outside doing things. It was pure chaos from the moment it struck
the overly populated city. There were very few rescues that first evening of the earthquake, and as
night fell, residents found themselves in a world of darkness and grief (Petrou). One of the larger
problems with the earthquake was that it destroyed much of it s government offices and the capital
city of Port au Prince, many of the resources that would have helped rescue people and revive the
city were destroyed. Port au Prince had a populationof 2 million people at the time, that s almost a
fourth of the countries population, but the capitals infrastructure is layed out to support just over
115,000. So on top of the overpopulation in the area, you have a massive catastrophe and a whole

that residents could do, other than to help each other. Fredson Demostherma, a resident of Leogane

The Revitalization Of Asean Role As An Honest Broker
The Revitalization of ASEAN Role as An Honest Broker in the South China Sea Disputes
I.Introduction
ASEAN has played a key role in managing the disputes over the South China Sea (SCS) as part
of its commitment to promote peace and stability in the region. The disputes were related to
territorial claims over Spratly and Paracel islands and maritime boundaries involving four
ASEAN members, namely Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Vietnam as well as
the People s Republic of China (and Taiwan). The potential escalation of conflict to open war in
the region, due to military build up by China and external intervention by the United States, puts
ASEAN into a central position to play its role as an honest broker or mediator. The stalemate of
discussion over the SCS disputes since the 2012 ASEAN Summit should be an indication for
ASEAN to revitalize its role and to start taking serious steps in a diplomatic manner to provide
peaceful solution for the conflicts.
Maintaining stability and security has always been ASEAN s fundamental interest, as any escalated
conflicts or war may cause a distraction to the integrity and solidarity of its members and influence
political and economic cooperation in the region. The discussions over the SCS disputes have been
established between ASEAN and China since the 1990s. As a result, ASEAN signed the ASEAN
Declaration on the South China Sea in 1992 and the ASEAN China agreement in 1995, which
regulated an obligation to inform

Application of Biometrics Science beyond Home Security
1.1 Background
Biometrics science is automatic techniques of identifying a human being based on either a behavior
vise or physic vise characteristic. Biometric technologies are of many kind such as dynamic
signature verification,/iris scanning, DNA recognition, face shape identification, voice recognition
and fingerprint validation. Biometric identification is more powerful to lower technology
identification techniques in common use today likely passwords, key, cards, tokens, PIN numbers
and smart cards.
In exisisting system PINs (personal identification numbers) were one of the first identifiers object to
offer automated identification. Although, this means of identification of the PIN, not necessarily
recognition of the person who has entered it. The same thing can be applied with cards and other
tokens.
The token is the easiest way to recognize the person but the problem with this technology is that
it can be present by anybody, i.e. we cannot be sure that token is provided by authentic person
only. So, we can say the primary use of physical objects or behaviors based on memory has a
large set of problems and limitations. The other problems with objects are often lost or stolen and a
behavior based on memory is easily forgotten. Even Identity cannot be guaranteed, privacy cannot
assume and inappropriate use cannot be assured or denied.
Biometrics science is expected to be emerged in solutions such as to provide for Home Security
which also including applications

The Importance Of Animal Testing
Animal Testing is Essential

In the earlier years, poliomyelitis or polio was a crippling and deadly disease that claimed the
lives of millions of people or paralyzed its victims. The epidemic took the lives of more than 2.5
billion children prior to the vaccination discovery ( History of Polio, YEAR). It was due to
animal experimentations that Dr. Jonas Salk discovered a vaccination to combat the deadly
disease. Salk and his team developed a method to produce large amounts of vaccine by cultivating
the polioviruses in the kidney tissues of monkeys ( Polio Cases, Deaths..., 2017). However, what
few people know is that it was also due to animal testing that the polio vaccine was delayed.
According to David Wiebers, a neuroscientist, and his colleagues at the Mayo Clinic, they revealed
that the studies on the monkeys also led to gross misconceptions delaying the fight against polio.
(CITE) The experiments conducted originally indicated that the polio virus infects mainly through
the nervous system halting the search for a cure. The erroneous conclusion contradicted the human
studies which demonstrated that the polioviruses primary route of infection was through the
gastrointestinal system resulting in misdirected preventive measures, delaying the development of
a vaccine (CITE). When scientist experiment on animals, a cure can often be thrown away in the

The historical theme of Work, Exchange, and Technology relates to the process of outsourcing,
Laissez faire economics, the Bracero program, and the Manhattan Project. Each of these terms
relates to the development of the American economy based on changes to agriculture, commerce,

products from an outside source in order to reduce the cost of that service or product. By taking
advantage of this process, the economy of the United Statessaw an increase as production prices

Analysis Of White And The New Yorker
Furthermore, In Warshow s review of E.B White and the New Yorker, experience again is at the
forefront of his critique, along with a bit of his ever present political views. He makes a very
important point at the begging of this review, The New Yorker has always dealt with experience
not by trying to understand it but by prescribing the attitude to be adopted toward it. (warshow
2001, 75) This becomes an interesting argument, even today, as we think about what trends we have
seen in popularculture. Do we ever ask ourselves if this is something that has been prescribed to
us, instead of by us? Journalism, especially from writers of a certain stature, can often dictate
where the culture shifts. If we are able to look at the writing with an objective eye then we are
simply learning about another facet of the experience. All to often, though, it is hard for us to be
objective. This could be why we, as Americans, have popular cultureat all. A journalist tells us what
is cool, and we subscribe to that idea as an entire culture. There are always outliers, but when
talking about popular culture most Americans are in it for the collective effervesces. I think this
point would be highly debated by Warshow. As he says at the end of this review, unable to keep
his political feelings at bay, The purpose of this writing is not to say anything about democracy
...but only to arouse certain familiar responses in the liberal middle class reader. (warshow

The High End Private School Essay
The high end private school segment has great potential for success. Rancho Solano Preparatory
School (RSPS) has had many successes, but also many challenges on their journey to becoming one
of the best private school options in Arizona. To continue success, Rancho Solano must make
significant investments and a commitment to change internally and externally. This can be
achieved by focusing on improving some of the subsystems of the organization as well as people
involved operationally.
RSPS is made up of many subsystems working together to ensure continuous viability and growth.
One of the major subsystems are the teachers, who guide the students on a daily basis. Another is
the curriculum of RSPS, which must be maintained at a high level to challenge and assist students
with their learning. Lastly, the administration, which monitors, maintains, and makes business
decisions that affect every area of the school.
Subsystem in Need of a Change When the decision was made to close the Hillcrest campus in 2014,
the timing of the announcement and handling of the parents involved was less than ideal. With less
than one year as RSPS administrator, Dr. Menard was ill equipped to handle the closing decision
and properly communicate with parents. This led to many students leaving the Meritas Family of
Schools entirely and tarnishing Rancho Solano s image in the community. Her systematic faults
can be summarized by Allison Stanton s article which states by remembering that

Teaching 10th Grade Analysis
The thirteen year old brain is not over the hill. It is just discovering the higher peaks of thinking.
(Peter Lorain) I couldn t agree with Lorain more. The reason why I love teaching 10th grade is
because I can see first hand the transition my students undergo from children, to young adults.
Lorain states that during the adolescent years, children begin developing skills in deductive
reasoning, problem solving, and generalizing (Lorain). Not only are students interpreting
information on a deeper level, but during this time they are also learningto control their impulses.
What I have observed in the past 3 years is this trend where students enter the 10th grade super

become confident when they speak; they are not only asking questions, but they are looking at

observations and analysis on the texts; and classroom management is no longer an issue. I would
like to take full credit and say that most of this is due to providing students with predictable and
safe environments so that they can take risks, explore, and grow , but I know that the child s
development also plays a larger role. When a teacher can incorporate routines in their classroom and
foster a positive and welcoming learning environment, they are ultimately capitalizing on the

Introduction
The single most critical problem that the managers are facing today is managing the people. This is
the most challenging issues that every kind of organizations is dealing with now aday.
Organizational behaviour is the study of individual, group and organization as a whole that
examines the effect of organizational structure and culture on organizational performance.
Therefore, it mostly tries to define the performance and efficiency factors of
anorganization.Organizational structure and organizational culture are highly correlated
performance factors. It basically defines the appropriate structure of an organization in order to get
more thanaverage performance. Organizational culture is a primary factor for employee turnover
and job satisfaction (Bolden, 2004). If an organization possesses a strong culture of self respect and
employee affiliation, it is no wonder that the employee retention rate would be very high(Tracy,
2013).In this report, the relationship between organizational culture and organizational structure

Testing Various Disinfectants On Bacteria Covered...
Disinfectants vs. Bacteria This project involves testing various disinfectants on bacteria covered
toothbrushes to see which method is most effective. The three main methods of disinfectants are
hydrogen peroxide, U.V rays to kill bacteria, and antibacterial soap. Learning what is in the various
disinfectants that eliminate bacteriais beneficial to understanding the experiment. Bacteria are
single celled organisms that reproduce quickly. Pathogens are bacteria that cause sickness. Once
the body is infected with pathogens, those bacteria reproduce and grow inside of cells in the body.
As they grow, certain bacteria can make toxins; those toxins can damage the body s cells.
Symptoms of a sickness can be caused by those toxins. Pathogens can be spread from one person to
another through physical contact or contact with bodily fluids. Bacteria however can be killed by
sterilization, cold temperatures, antiseptics, disinfectants, and pasteurization. The antibacterial soap
mentioned is a disinfectant that reduces bacteria, which therefore reduces chance of infection.
Hydrogen peroxide is an antiseptic that reduces bacteria. The difference between antibacterial soap
and normal hand soap is triclosan or triclocarbon. Triclosan is an antibacterial compound in
antibacterial soap and a potent synthetic chemical. The text states, Triclosan is classified as a broad
spectrum antimicrobial agent because it is effective against a wide range of microbes; the term
antimicrobial implies

Moral Code And Standards For Improving Individual Behavior

develop my moral code and standards for maximizing my utility in life. For example, some children

other people within society can help to enhance relationships. The better the relationship, the better
coexistence between people. Good moral principles allows a person to make the right decisions and

This appears to make perfect sense for most, but the Marines stress the 75% solution to help
rapidly make decisions. In other words, you are to do your best to gather as much information
as you can until you have approximately seventy five percent of the data and facts. Then, use
your knowledge, skill, and perception to fill in the remaining twenty five percent. The Marines
view is that it is always better to make a decision and execute aggressively with partial
information, than it is to wait and make a perfect decision that may be too late and lead to
undesirable results. You are taught to rapidly estimate a situation and make a solid decision based
on that estimation. There is no room for reluctance to make a decision. If there is reluctance, then
you revise it. The rapid decision making process has taught me to not be afraid to make a decision
and learn from my mistakes and to respect the leader who corrects mistakes immediately and owns
up to it.
The second principle that I acquired from the Marines was the spirit of determination and
commitment. In the Marines, you will endure and sacrifice for your fellow Marine. It certainly was
not fun to work your butt off to only pay for someone else s mistake. It is easy to complain, but
instead, you go help the weaker Marine in your unit and teach them how to become faster and grow
stronger. Marines that complain are thinking about themselves and their own welfare. As a Marine,

How Does The Endocrine System Contribute To Homeostasis
In the human body the internal temperature is maintained at 37 degrees Celsius and this is
maintained as a result of homeostasis. Homeostasis is the process of balancing or keeping a stable
internal environment in the body. A majority of organ systems in the body contribute to
homeostasis, however there are two very important organ systems that play a massive role within
this process, and they are the endocrine and nervous system. Both are crucial as they permit
communication in the body and the integration of cells as well as tissue functions.
The body s internal environment is regulated by three components, they are known as the feedback
systems of homeostasis. The feedback system is made up of the receptor, a control center and
effector. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Once they have been secreted together they form an osmotic equivalent of water so by the time
they reach the end of the proximal tubule about two thirds of these fluid have been reabsorbed. The
loop of Henle is linked with maintaining that osmotic gradient in the renal medulla. This is
achieved by sodium chloride being transported from the tubular fluid ( the interstitium) without
changing the osmotic uptake of the water. The osmolality of the water leaving the tube of Henle is
lower than the plasma, whilst the interstitium is higher. According to the requirements of the body
the distal tubule adjusts the ionic balance of the body by changing the amount of sodium and other
substances that are reabsorbed back into the body. It is also responsible for the secretion of
hydrogen ions, which leads to the acidification of the urine, because of this, this urine that leaves
the distal tubule is dilute. If the osmolality of the urine is relatively high when it passes through the
collecting ducts, water is absorbed under the influence of antidiuretic hormone (ADH) and the urine
that is concentrated is excreted.
However, if the osmolality of the urine is low, little ADH is secreted.
To conclude, if the communication between the organs is adequate then

Taking a Look at Google
Executive Summary
Google is a company that has no bounds. To reach our goal of becoming a main competitor in the
United States broadband market, we must gain a larger share of the market. Since the initial launch
of Google Fiber in Kansas City, our service has expanded, from much demand, into the surrounding
communities. It is now time we bring Google Fiber to new communities and expand our territory.
Google Fiber offers broadband speeds that are up to 100 times faster than cable and dsl. Our
service is second to none, and will be the key to our future successes. To reach our goal of
becoming the premier broadband provider in the United States we will also require
interdepartmental teamwork to increase our agility through an ever changing environment. Each
department will have a defined role in helping us reach the goal of Google Fiber.
Department Tasks
вћўMarketing: Research potential new cities to release Google Fiber. Submit reports based on each
city s demographics, to aid in the selection process.
вћўOperations: Based on the information of the candidate cities, select the next three that Google
Fiber will penetrate. Once the cities have been chosen begin to assemble a business plan to best fit
for each market.
вћўPublic Relations: Once the next three cities Google Fiber will target have been selected put out

Richard Wright s Perspective Of The Sociological Imagination
In Wright s point of view, the sociological imagination allows us to understand history and

society, we should look first the sociological imagination. It associated with the individual s

Also, the most productive difference with which the sociological imagination works is between
personal troubles of human environment and the public issues of society . This theory is a part
of sociological imagination because of it features all classic work of the social science.
According to Wright Troubles occur within the character of the individual and within the range
of his immediate relations with others, it is a private matter: values cherished by an individual
are felt by him to be threatened. Problems have to do with troubles that go beyond these local
environments of the individual and the range of his interior life. An issue is a public problem:
some rate valued by publics is felt to be disappearing In order to frame issues and troubles, we
must question what values are prized yet threatened and what values are cherished and supported
by the characterizing developments of our period. We should experience whatever occurs in our
own lives as distinctive and isolated, and also to interpret what happens to other people as unique
and private to them. This is the explanation of personal

Influence Of Religion In Canterbury Tales
The author of The Canterbury Tales had much to say when it came to religion and the religious
people of his society. Chaucer gave descriptions on a number of characters from different
backgrounds. He had a certain bias towards people who are truly good while the truly bad people
were made fun of by him He paid special attention to a character when the topic of religion was
involved. With the Pardoner s Tale, the Pardoner acted like a hypocrite and the author made sure
to point out his hypocrisy, be it implied or expressed in the story. Chaucer was one of the very
few who had the courage to criticize church officials in his lifetime, and it shows that he had a
swell time doing it as well. That is why Chaucer, the author of The Canterbury Tales, viewed
religion and church officials as a joke because he made fun of most of the religious characters in
his prologue, was more meticulous towards religious characters on the topic of religion, and
pointed out the hypocrisy of the Pardoner s morals in his character description and in the
Pardoner s Tale. Chaucer made fun of most of the religious characters in his prologue. One of the
very first church officials in the prologue is the Nun. The Nun is supposed to constantly be pure

The ability to live alone is a power very few people possess. Grendel, by John Gardner, is a novel
based on the epic poem, Beowulf and narrated by Grendel, a grotesque monster who lives with
his mute mother in a desolate cave. He is in a 12 year war King Hrothgar and his people.
Constantly seeking and yet avoiding the human population, Grendel observes the Scyldings as their

searching for a purpose to his life in what to him seems like a meaningless universe. On his journey
he encounters a clairvoyant dragon who mentors him on the nature of the universe, and sees the rise

John Gardner, Grendel is portrayed as a lonely and miserable creature who craves companionship
and ponders deep questions about the universe. This is observed by Grendel s conversation with the

Why Is The Supreme Court Wield Its Awesome Powers
As former Chief Justice Puno would note on how the Supreme Court should wield its awesome
powers:
The Court should strive to work out a constitutional equilibrium where each branch of government
cannot dominate each other, an equilibrium where each branch in the exercise of its distinct power
should be left alone yet bereft of a license to abuse... The call for that quality of rare
disinterestedness should counsel us to resist the temptation of unduly inflating judicial power and
deflating the executive and legislative powers.
The 1987 Constitution expanded the parameters of judicial power, but that by no means is a
justification for the errant thought that the Constitution created an imperial judiciary. An imperial
judiciary composed of the unelected, whose sole constituency is the blindfolded lady without the
right to vote, is counter majoritarian, hence, inherently inimical to the central ideal of democracy. ...

ANALYSIS OF THE WOMEN IMAGE, BLANCHE AND STELLA, IN TENNESSEE
WILLIAMS A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE
1. Background of Analysis
A streetcar Named Desire is a stage play that written by Tennese Wiliams. It first published in
1947 and takes place in New Orleans, Louisiana. In this play, Williams presents women as
powerless, weak, and passive characters who are tightly linked to their persecutors due to
economic, social, and physical needs. During the time period of Tennessee Williams, author of the
play A Streetcar Named Desire, lived in, men were typically portrayed as leaders of the household.
Therefore, it can be seen that there is a genre struggle in the play. The image of women in this play
seem to be lower than the man.
In this paper, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A Streetcar Named Desire lends itself quite naturally to feminist criticism. Feminism, a movement
whose roots can be traced back to the middle ages, had come into its own in the twentieth century,
though it was not a major force in the American South. Feminist critics, who accept the idea that
gender differences are culturally determined, not inborn, interpret literature as a record of male
dominance. The attitudes of men who impose their will on women and try to convince then of their
inferiority are evident throughout this play: the way they interact with women, discuss them, look
at them, talk to them, use and abuse them.
Williams presentation of women in A Streetcar Named Desire is a traditional one. The image of
women in this play is not different from that presented in traditional literary works in which
women are presented as submissive characters who are dependent upon male s authority and
control and men are portrayed as leaders of the house. The play has only one difference because
Blanche tries to defy a man whom she believes to be inferior to her in class position and education.
It shows the consequences of this upon the life of this woman as she sets herself against this cruel
man. In this sense, an analysis of the female characters presented in the play and their conflict with
the male characters especially Stanley, the dominant male character in the play, is very important

Critical Commentary On Group Work
Critical Commentary Essay
Group work has been a cornerstone of the social work profession and requires a variety of
facilitator skills and awareness of group processes. The SSLDTM Group Program for People with
Difficulties in Social Situations (Socialwork1914, 2017) provides an excellent example of a
psycho educational group co facilitated by two female social workers, Jane and Karen. After
viewing the 6th session of this 8 week program, I began to understand how the concepts of group
formation/development, interpersonal dynamics, and leadership styles contribute to successful
group work outcomes.
Group Formation Model Social work groups are usually formed based on their intended purpose.
For this particular video, all six ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This particular group also incorporated different practise frameworks, such as cognitive
behavioural therapy (CBT) and narrative therapy to help group members successfully understand
their goals and the resources needed to attain those goals. Based on the literature, CBT is a goal
directed and semi structured therapy that seeks to change negative thinking patterns and reduce
maladaptive behaviours to promote socio emotional well being (CUCARO, 2017). This
framework is evident within the facilitated role play activities (i.e. 05:25 06:50) that encouraged
members to walk through a scenario and identify their thoughts, feelings, and bodily responses.
This CBT activity gave group members the opportunity to critically analyze their own coping
strategies (successful or otherwise) as well as receive feedback from other members around what
worked well and what alternatives could be implemented in a safe setting. This psycho educational
group also utilized a narrative therapy model, in which people are encouraged to recount their
stories as related to the circumstances at hand... (Roberts Yeager, 2006; White, 1989). During the
check in of the 6th session, each group member was encouraged to share their narrative of how the
prior week had gone and whether they were successful in completing

Richard Rorty
Richard Rorty: starts his essay describing incredible brutality done by the hands of one group of
people (Serbs) to another (Muslims). The writer then elaborates on the logic behind such action as
he introduces the concept of human rights in the essay. He state that the actions done by the Serbs
in Bosnia to the Muslims are not a violation of humanrights. For the acts committed against
Muslims such as murder and rape weren t committed against fellow human beings but to Muslims.
They are not being inhuman, but rather are discriminating between humans and the pseudo humans.
Rorty then begins a brief explanation of pragmatism as it relates to the human rights culture. He
states that our human right culture is morally superior to other cultures,

The National Hockey League Of Sun Belt Cities
Introduction
On August 8th, 1988 Wayne Gretzky gave a tearful farewell to Edmonton after being traded to the
Los Angeles Kings. The Gretzky trade had effects beyond the two teams. The landscape of the
National Hockey League changed in the years following the Gretzky trade. Ten years after the
trade Anaheim, Dallas, Phoenix, Miami, San Jose, and Tampa were awarded NHL franchises. The
National Hockey League s southern expansion was partially driven by the attendance increase the
Los Angeles Kings experienced after the Gretzky trade. The goal of this essay is to determine
what drives attendance in Sun Belt cities. Our study should interest sports economists in academia
and National Hockey league executives who make decisions on the league s product placement.
Team attendance is the dependent variable in the model and eleven independent variables were
run in two different regressions. The first regression run was a Least Squares regression and the
second was a time series regression. The time series regression was necessary to run since the
results of the Least Squares regression may have been biased. The time series regression reveled
two important conclusions. First, winning a championship had a positive and statistically
significant impact on attendance in southern cities. Second, the time series regression illustrated
that each city has special characteristics driving attendance that we cannot measure. This essay I
will review other research papers on attendance at sporting

  • 2. Advantages And Disadvantages Of Abrasive Jet Machining Sapphire0.2 0.8 300 Abrasive: The most common abrasive materials used for Abrasive jet machining are aluminum oxide, silicon carbide. Sodium bicarbonates, glass beads of small grain size and dolomite are used for cleaning and polishing purpose. The selection of abrasive material depends on the work material, machining operation and required material removal rate. The size of the material is also important. The material removal rate (MRR) depends on the grain size. The coarse grains give high MRR, and they are recommended for cutting. The finer grains are useful in finishing operation. However, the finer grain tends to stick together and cause a clog in the nozzle. The grain must be sharp edged, but fine enough to remain ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Thin sections of brittle and hard material like ceramic, glass, and germanium can be machined. Disadvantages of Abrasive Jet Machining: The material removal rate is low. The process tends to environmental pollution. A dust collection system must be provided to avoid air pollution and health hazards. This can be eliminated by using abrasive water jet machining. The abrasive powder cannot be reused because its cutting ability decrease and it may clog on orifice of the nozzle. Higher chance of stray cutting*. Tapering may occur during drilling. AJM not suited for machining of soft material because the abrasive may get embedded in the work material. Nozzle life is low (300hr), and short standoff distance causes frequent damages on the nozzle. The air used for abrasive jet must be moister and oil free. * Stray cutting is an over cutting of material during machining process. It results in a non uniform cutting surface. Stray cutting is unavoidable if cutting operation not properly controlled. In the 1850s, America was facing a political crisis, and slavery was threatening to tear the nation apart. There were seven debates that took place between Abraham Lincolnand Stephen Douglas. The two candidates for Senate challenged the other s ideas about many topics but the most import was, slavery and its future in the United States. From August 21 until October 15, Stephen Douglas battled Abraham Lincoln in face to face debates all around the state. The prize they sought to win was a seat in the Senate. The debates were to be held at 7 locations throughout Illinois. During the debates, Douglas still advocated popular sovereignty, which meant to maintain the right of the citizens of a territory to permit or prohibit slavery. It was, a sacred right of self government, or so he said. Lincoln proceeded to point out that Douglas s position directly challenged the Dred Scott decision. This in which decreed that the citizens of a territory had no such power. In what became known as the Freeport Doctrine. Douglas replied that whatever the Supreme Court decided was not as important as the actions of the citizens. If a territory refused to have slavery, no laws, no Supreme Court ruling, would force them to permit it. Over and over again, Lincoln made that point that a house divided could not stand. Douglas refuted this by saying that the founders, left each state perfectly free to do as it pleased on the subject. Lincoln felt that blacks were entitled to the rights enumerated in the Declaration of Independence, which include life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Douglas argued that the founders ... • 6. The Orbitofrontal Cortex and Social Behaviors Within the realm if biological psychology, there are two known types of behaviour. One being regulatory and the other, non regulatory. Regulatory behaviour is controlled by the hypothalamus and maintains homeostasis in the body by continuing the processes of the vital body systems. An example of this could be; eating. Regulatory behaviour occurs in a person s everyday life without them noticing that it happens. Non regulatory behaviour, on the other hand is not controlled by a homeostatic mechanism in the hypothalamus but rather in the orbitofrontal cortex. Example of non regulatory behaviour include; parenting, aggression and social behaviour. (Swartz, L. et al, 2011) The orbitofrontal cortex is a part of the brain that is located superiorly to the eye socket and inferiorly to the frontal lobe. Part of its function is that it is involved in the regulation of reward orientated behaviour, inhibiting unwanted behaviour as well as being involved with emotions and decision making (Swartz, L et al, 2011). The orbitofrontal cortex is greatly associated with social behaviour. With reference to (Beer, J. S. et al), there are two theories that are coherent social short comings associated with the orbitofrontal cortex. These are one, deficient emotional systems and two, self monitoring . Deficient emotional systems or the lack of behavioural monitoring can be characterized by the somatic marker hypothesis . This theory suggests that the orbitofrontal cortex is an imperative part ... • 7. Application Of Using Smart Card Abstract The objective is to give authorized clients access to sensitive data, while ensuring the data from others. We are planning to implement it utilizing three factor authentication scheme combines a one time secret key plan for customer validation (one time password), biometric password and secure flash card (smart card). Our fundamental design contemplations were security, execution, convenience, accessibility, and scale. Biometric scan can be implemented using smart card. The created secure flash card has tamper resistant module, which contains client validation data and security keys, thus the system is highly secure. The point of interest of this methodology is that the client s biometric information is not imparted to remote server. At the same time the inconvenience is that the remote server must trust the smart card to perform legitimate confirmation which prompts different vulnerabilities. A nonspecific and secure system is proposed to overhaul two factor authenticationto three component authentication. The transformation not just altogether enhances the data confirmation requiring little to no effort additionally secures customer protection in disseminated frameworks. Furthermore, this system holds a few practice accommodating properties of the fundamental two component authentication, which we accept is of autonomous investment. The Change in Method of Suffragettes Between 1903 and 1915 From 1903 through to 1915, the methods that the suffragettes used to gain the right to vote dramatically changed. In my essay I will explain how and more importantly why the suffragettes went through several methods to get themselves noticed by the male government. It was in 1903 when the suffragettes started to try and gain enough publicity so that they were recognised. This tactic mainly consisted of ineffectual activities like producing and then distributing leaflets. Most people would just discard or throw these away. The newly founded WSPU, (which was formed by Emily Pankhust) would also make pointless petitions and organise moves... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... They did this by heckling MP s. This meant that they would chain themselves to MP s houses, their limo s or anywhere else the MP s were, especially David Lloyd George. They also organised large scale demonstrations that would hold up traffic for hours and deliberately get themselves arrested to gain publicity. All of these things were done to show the government that they were not to be messed with, but unfortunately the women were only charged with petty vandalism. This is why Christabelle Pankhurst decided the suffragettes would call the government s bluff and begin their third campaign, violence. Not only this but they also changed tack because of the situation concerning the conciliation bills. Lloyd George promised to present a conciliation bill to parliament if they called off their militancy campaign. They agreed to this but the bill presented was simply talked out . Another two bills suffered the same fate until the women again felt betrayed by the Liberals and David Lloyd George in particular. Because of this the womens militancy campaign got worse not better, but at least womens emancipation was being discussed where it mattered most, parliament. From 1911 the suffragettes went up a gear and tried to call the governments bluff. They started to cause a real stir and politicians took notice, for the wrong reasons. ... • 10. Man Vs. Society In The Sociology Of Leopard Man Man VS Society Living in society, we are under constant pressure to surrender our individuality to the will of the majority, the school, the workplace, the family, etc. (Feys, P.6). Logan Feys, the author of The Sociology of Leopard Man , states that society is persistently under pressure to change our individual likings, personality, change the way we look, etc. to feel accepted and approved by society. The desire to fit in and not be an outsider with social groups causes people to feel pressured and change themselves to fit in. Fey s statement is correct that people conform with society to not be an outsider or avoid the fear of possibly being an outsider. Most people will change themselves and conform to fit in with the groups of people they want to be apart of. The pressure of society causes people to form themselves into someone that they believe that others would like and accept them. Logan Feys states, They may call themselves non conformists, but most antisocial freaks, in their obsession with displaying their freakishness, are just as dependent on others opinions as approval seeking socialites. (Feys, P. 2). This quote claims that not everyone changes for society s requirements and that being a freak is similar to people changing for people s approval. The study of the hippocampus is vital in understanding how it governs human behaviors. As perceived, the brain is a complex machine and through understanding its crucial parts in the processing of information would give a clear understanding and precautions to people on how to protect their brain from memory loss and other similar diseases. In addition, Wright explained that the hippocampusis directly linked to the entorhinal cortex and the fornix. That is to say that the output pathways of hippocampus passed directly to the entorhinal cortex and the fornix before reaching other anterior structures. What is more, not only do outputs coming from hippocampus are passed through the entorhinal cortex, but both parts are also directly connected to one another which includes the amyglada (Wright, n.d). The disputes were related to territorial claims over Spratly and Paracel islands and maritime boundaries involving four ASEAN members, namely Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Vietnam as well as the People s Republic of China (and Taiwan). The potential escalation of conflict to open war in the region, due to military build up by China and external intervention by the United States, puts ASEAN into a central position to play its role as an honest broker or mediator. Salk and his team developed a method to produce large amounts of vaccine by cultivating the polioviruses in the kidney tissues of monkeys ( Polio Cases, Deaths..., 2017). Analysis Of White And The New Yorker Furthermore, In Warshow s review of E.B White and the New Yorker, experience again is at the forefront of his critique, along with a bit of his ever present political views. He makes a very important point at the begging of this review, The New Yorker has always dealt with experience not by trying to understand it but by prescribing the attitude to be adopted toward it. (warshow 2001, 75) This becomes an interesting argument, even today, as we think about what trends we have seen in popularculture. Do we ever ask ourselves if this is something that has been prescribed to us, instead of by us? Journalism, especially from writers of a certain stature, can often dictate where the culture shifts. If we are able to look at the writing with an objective eye then we are simply learning about another facet of the experience. All to often, though, it is hard for us to be objective. This could be why we, as Americans, have popular cultureat all. A journalist tells us what is cool, and we subscribe to that idea as an entire culture. There are always outliers, but when talking about popular culture most Americans are in it for the collective effervesces. I think this point would be highly debated by Warshow. As he says at the end of this review, unable to keep his political feelings at bay, The purpose of this writing is not to say anything about democracy ...but only to arouse certain familiar responses in the liberal middle class reader. Rancho Solano Preparatory School (RSPS) has had many successes, but also many challenges on their journey to becoming one of the best private school options in Arizona. To continue success, Rancho Solano must make significant investments and a commitment to change internally and externally. This can be achieved by focusing on improving some of the subsystems of the organization as well as people involved operationally. RSPS is made up of many subsystems working together to ensure continuous viability and growth. One of the major subsystems are the teachers, who guide the students on a daily basis. Another is the curriculum of RSPS, which must be maintained at a high level to challenge and assist students with their learning. Lastly, the administration, which monitors, maintains, and makes business decisions that affect every area of the school. Subsystem in Need of a Change When the decision was made to close the Hillcrest campus in 2014, the timing of the announcement and handling of the parents involved was less than ideal. The reason why I love teaching 10th grade is because I can see first hand the transition my students undergo from children, to young adults. Lorain states that during the adolescent years, children begin developing skills in deductive reasoning, problem solving, and generalizing (Lorain). Not only are students interpreting information on a deeper level, but during this time they are also learningto control their impulses. What I have observed in the past 3 years is this trend where students enter the 10th grade super hyper, fidgeting in their seat, constantly giggling, summarizing the... Disinfectants vs. Bacteria This project involves testing various disinfectants on bacteria covered toothbrushes to see which method is most effective. The three main methods of disinfectants are hydrogen peroxide, U.V rays to kill bacteria, and antibacterial soap. Learning what is in the various disinfectants that eliminate bacteriais beneficial to understanding the experiment. Bacteria are single celled organisms that reproduce quickly. Pathogens are bacteria that cause sickness. Once the body is infected with pathogens, those bacteria reproduce and grow inside of cells in the body. As they grow, certain bacteria can make toxins; those toxins can damage the body s cells. Symptoms of a sickness can be caused by those toxins. Pathogens can be spread from one person to another through physical contact or contact with bodily fluids. Bacteria however can be killed by sterilization, cold temperatures, antiseptics, disinfectants, and pasteurization. The antibacterial soap mentioned is a disinfectant that reduces bacteria, which therefore reduces chance of infection. Hydrogen peroxide is an antiseptic that reduces bacteria. The difference between antibacterial soap and normal hand soap is triclosan or triclocarbon. Triclosan is an antibacterial compound in antibacterial soap and a potent synthetic chemical. Homeostasis is the process of balancing or keeping a stable internal environment in the body. A majority of organ systems in the body contribute to homeostasis, however there are two very important organ systems that play a massive role within this process, and they are the endocrine and nervous system. Both are crucial as they permit communication in the body and the integration of cells as well as tissue functions. The body s internal environment is regulated by three components, they are known as the feedback systems of homeostasis. The feedback system is made up of the receptor, a control center and effector. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Once they have been secreted together they form an osmotic equivalent of water so by the time they reach the end of the proximal tubule about two thirds of these fluid have been reabsorbed. The loop of Henle is linked with maintaining that osmotic gradient in the renal medulla. This is achieved by sodium chloride being transported from the tubular fluid ( the interstitium) without changing the osmotic uptake of the water. The osmolality of the water leaving the tube of Henle is lower than the plasma, whilst the interstitium is higher. According to the requirements of the body the distal tubule adjusts the ionic balance of the body by changing the amount of sodium and other substances that are reabsorbed back into the body. It is also responsible for the secretion of hydrogen ions, which leads to the acidification of the urine, because of this, this urine that leaves the distal tubule is dilute. If the osmolality of the urine is relatively high when it passes through the collecting ducts, water is absorbed under the influence of antidiuretic hormone (ADH) and the urine that is concentrated is excreted. However, if the osmolality of the urine is low, little ADH is secreted. To conclude, if the communication between the organs is adequate then ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

A Streetcar Named Desire lends itself quite naturally to feminist criticism. Feminism, a movement whose roots can be traced back to the middle ages, had come into its own in the twentieth century, though it was not a major force in the American South. Feminist critics, who accept the idea that gender differences are culturally determined, not inborn, interpret literature as a record of male dominance. The attitudes of men who impose their will on women and try to convince then of their inferiority are evident throughout this play: the way they interact with women, discuss them, look at them, talk to them, use and abuse them. Williams presentation of women in A Streetcar Named Desire is a traditional one. The image of women in this play is not different from that presented in traditional literary works in which women are presented as submissive characters who are dependent upon male s authority and control and men are portrayed as leaders of the house. The play has only one difference because Blanche tries to defy a man whom she believes to be inferior to her in class position and education. Ten years after the trade Anaheim, Dallas, Phoenix, Miami, San Jose, and Tampa were awarded NHL franchises.
